Amazing! Everything is good. I love their outdoor seating and staff. The bread is outstanding and i strongly recomend the cupcakes and eclairs. The tomato soup is great because its not too creamy and all of the quiches are fabulous!

I bought a birthday cake for my daughters 40th birthday. The cake was decorated in pink and purple. The batter of the cake was delicious, so two thumbs up to the baker. I was in there while people were ordering lunch, and all the food looked wonderful. Definitely a place to get a cup of coffee and pastry or lunch.

Incredible lunch spot. Soup and sandwich combo is always fresh and satisfying. Great selection and specials. I wish they had more hours especially on the weekend. I have not tried the desserts but they look incredible too.

I went to this bakery after driving past it a 1000 times and figured why not, I probably should’ve driven past 1001, i got a butter cake and 2 salted caramel cupcakes. ill start with the dry cupcakes with no filling in the middle.(isn’t everyone doing that now?) now lets talk about this so called butter cake, more like a stiff caramel cake, it was the worst buttercake I ever had and the fact they sell them for 15 $ is a joke. The cake had no gooey center the pastry was far from light and flaky. Fortunately for me I went to FRITZ’S AUTHENTICGERMANBAKERY, GOT2BUTTERCAKESFORAROUND10 $ WHICH I CONSIDERMONEYWELLSPENT. Long story short, i wont be returning to this establishment again. based on other reviews of this place it seems over priced and a bit pretentious. ENTERATYOUROWNRISK!!!

After buying macarons, tarts and breads umpteen number of times; I finally made it to abc for a Saturday brunch. I got a vegetarian sandwich, tomato basil soup and a cup of the amazing Coffee. My sandwich was just perfect. The hummus, sprouts, shredded carrots all seemed to tie in together to give the most healthy and tasty treat for my almost starving soul. The tomato soup was delicious !! The only reason I give it a 4 star instead of 5 is because of a rude man(who probably works behind in the bakery). He was getting another customer’s take out order consisting of 3 – 4 boxes ready on the table next to mine. He kept shaking my table a few times and never apologized. The girl who served my table was very nice and I did tip her very well. So no complaints about the service or the food and will keep frequenting it for sure. But I can’t get past that rude worker there, so a 4 star.

The pastries, cakes and cupcakes they create are delicious! The service is excellent and the place is very down to earth. Don’t drive too fast because the store front is small and you could miss it!

I stopped in here with my mom for lunch. It took forever! Everyone was very nice but I thought the prices were high and the soup I got with my sandwich was awful. I loved the sandwich itself and the baked goods. I think I need to try again on a different day or perhaps just go to the bigger ambler location.

Always a wonderful Sunday morning at ABC! We moved back to PA almost 6 years ago. We first stopped here looking for a First Holy Communion Cake, and were a little sticker shocked. In reality, I was uninformed! About a year later I stopped in for a look with my daughter and found a much more delectable and subtle array of pastries and techniques. Soon, my son and I made this out Sunday stop while my daughter was at Religious Ed. I have purchased custom cakes made and even stop in once in a while to treat my employees to croissants. My wife and I want to make this our routine Sunday stop. We consistently see and hear regulars speaking with staff and enjoying conversation. Thank you ABC for being one of the last establishments of your kind! Support local and small business!

It doesn’t get better than this place. They make a delicious… everything. Go for lunch at 1, or you can’t get an inside seat. My favorite lunch items… the Greek salad with seared Feta… and the mushroom soup with real portabella chunks… and the Mediterranean quiche. Also, the bread… try the Gouda cheese bread… it’s the stuff dreams are made of. Most recently we tried one of the little pies. A chocolate/espresso pie. Tiny, but wow… even the kids liked it — just the right amount of chocolate. If you are anywhere near North Wales… this is the place to try… and love .

OK, I was extremely excited to try this place when I moved to the area. I came with my young daughter and we were eying the croissants. I then noticed something dark and tiny go by– a fruit fly! I looked again and I saw a whole swarm of them! I told the man behind the counter(possibly the owner) and he dismissed them by saying, «it’s just fruit flies.» My daughter really wanted the Gruyère and prosciutto croissant, so I asked them for a specific one that I didn’t see flies on, and I asked them to reheat it. I have to say that the croissant was unbelievably good, but I was still grossed out by the fruit flies. I came back to this place a few months later with my daughter, wanting the same croissant. What did I see again??? Yes, fruit flies all over the cupcakes and croissants. I walked out of there without buying anything. Please, fix your bug problem! Until then, I’ll steer clear of this bakery.

Super delicious! The bread is wonderful: squishy and baked on premises. The sandwiches all looked awesome. I had the Bello and it was great– creamy goat cheese, fresh grilled veggies, delicious pesto. Service was extremely nice and quick, the outdoor patio on the side is perfect for a casual al fresco lunch to break-up the day. Definitely a place to check-out!

I’ve come to Alice for birthday cakes and cupcakes for years. They are to die for! Not overly sweet and beautifully presented. This time I came for lunch which is from 10:30 — 2:30. The outside seating was very pleasant and the waitress very sweet and helpful. I had a bowl of cream of portabella which was rich and creamy and the«goudalicious» dry rubbed pork sandwich. The pork was so flavorful and spicy. The gouda bread incredible. I had to have a second cup of fresh Illy iced coffee-not free refills– to wash it all down. My dessert, the chocolate croissant, was absolutely decadent. Rich and buttery. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. It started to pour down rain and the owner Dennis gave me an umbrella saying keep it and just bring it back next time you visit with us. I can’t wait to come back with my bf and his dog for lunch soon!

I love this place their cakes and sweets are amazing. I am very picky about sweets cause a lot of the time you can find fresh ones that don’t taste of pure sugar. This was melt in your mouth delicious. We got the peanut butter cake and some macaroons(which were absolutely amazing). and the people are super nice! Definitely a gem.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, and great pricing. I recommend this over your local Panera Bread! I was going with a mushroom theme and ordered the Bello sandwich and cream of mushroom soup. I ate every bit. At first I wasn’t sure about this little spot, but there is parking in the back and tables outside. The menu is unique and overall, I was pleased with my experience. I would recommend to come here after the lunch rush. The place can be packed and the frazzled workers might forget your drink. I loved how they smothered my sandwich in olive oil. It maybe be messy for others, but for me it works!

I have been living in the area for 2 years and haven’t really checked out the local bakeries in the area. So lately i’ve been on the hunt to find one. I recently came across Alice Bakery and Confectionary from searching on google. They had pretty good reviews from what it seemed so I figured I’d give it a shot. My boyfriend and I came here early sunday morning. It was easy to find(had a big bright sign out front) and had a parking lot which is always convenient especially since it’s on a main street. I originally wanted a vanilla cupcake but they were out, so i ordered a red velvet cupcake($ 2.50), and a chocolate croissant($ 2.75). $ 4 minimum when you pay with debit/credit which isn’t bad. My boyfriend ordered the 3 year aged gouda bread($ 5) and the gouda and the 3 year aged gouda and prosciutto($ 6) along with a french baguette. We were served in a timely manner. received our pastry and breads and headed home. The baguette was delicious, comparable to the baguettes I used to make when I went to Culinary school in breads class. Crusty outside and soft inside. 3 year aged gouda bread was also delicious, had a good crust and soft inside. The gouda chunks in it gave it a lot of great flavor. The red velvet cake was OK but not the best i’ve ever had. It was fairly moist and the buttercream was legit buttercream(soft, velvety, not too sweet finish not like the cheap stuff most bakeries use). i have yet to try the chocolate croissant(kind of full from all the other goodies) but I’ll edit this once I do. Overall this is one of the better bakeries in the area without a doubt. I would definitely go back and have lunch here(they serve lunch 1030am-2pm), and I would also come back here for more bread!

Best of luck getting a seat in this place during lunch hours because this truly is as good as it gets in the North Wales /Lansdale area. Admittedly I haven’t sampled the sweets too much as I’m usually pretty stuffed after a lunch at this place. Ok so the lunch. Awesome. Super fresh bread made in house. Delicious and fresh vegetables, meats and cheeses. The tomato basil soup is so simple, but really one of the best I’ve had. My go to sandwich is either the grilled cheese or the BLAT. Both of which come with soup of choice. If you like the hot stuff, go with the Alice Italian, but don’t say I didn’t warn you. If you’re a salad type(and you’re pretty hungry), try the Fajita Chicken Salad. Bigger than your head. Great dressing. Ok I admit it, I usually sneak a peanut butter cookie for dessert. Also really good. As for the service, it’s hard to not trip over the table next to you, so the waitress is usually around. It’s a shame the room isn’t bigger or I would be here more often. If I don’t leave the office by 11:30 I probably won’t get a table. Come summertime they do have outdoor seating, so that is helpful.

I had an extremely positive experience with AB&C when I was in need of a cake for my mother’s 60th birthday party. At the time I was on vacation in FL the week before the party and our original cake plans fell through. I frantically searched Unilocal for another nearby bakery and found Alice’s. I called the store and the woman on the other end(Alice, perhaps? Not sure) was incredibly helpful. I had no pictures or swatches for what I wanted on the cake — all I could do was tell her the colors(pink and peach) and the theme of the party(teapots — my mom is a collector). With 4 days notice Alice’s was able to complete my request and turned out such a beautiful cake with the perfect colors and cutest decorations! The half sheet ended up being more than enough for our party of about 50 people. The cake itself was very good — the reason I took off a star was for the icing. Alice’s states the icing is buttercream… but this was unlike any buttercream I’ve ever had. It was barely sweet and almost oily, as a previous reviewer mentioned. I would have appreciated it if they told me ahead of time that their buttercream recipe is not traditional. Also, there was a TON of icing. It doesn’t look like a lot at first glance, but once you cut into the cake… whoa. Way too much. Overall I — and most importantly, my mom — was very pleased with Alice’s and I would definitely consider ordering my future cakes from here.
