Our go to for mom and pop style dining in North Vernon. Excellent alternative to fast food with great service and good food. Warning! It’s not health food so if you are looking for that you’ll be disappointed. If you are looking for bone sticking, finger licking, comfort food you are in the right place! Their new location is outstanding. BBQ is yummy. Sides are good but the meat is the main attraction! Catering menu is also super!

My husband has been working downstate IN for the past month and has been subject to fast food for the past few weeks. He found this place just this week and was so happy with his find! The burger he had was fresh, hot and real ground beef. Service was great and pies looked and tasted great. He said he will definately be going back this week.

Ended up here with a large group for work, most of us out-​of-​towners from Chicago and New York.
Interesting menu choices and a decent variety for an out of the way spot. I tried the cup of chili on our waitress’ recommendation along with a turkey club. Both were great, as was the service.
Excellent choice for a solid homestyle type meal in a very casual environment.

Came for lunch while in town on business. This spot is a gem for home cooking. Prices are reasonable and portions plentiful. Had an excellent pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw. Wish I had room for those homemade desserts!
