I am going to give this three stars right now because usually for breakfast we love this restaurant. But today we went there for dinner and the server was atrocious if she had to sit there for 10 minutes before anybody got their took our order gave my drink to the wrong table and then served us our appetizers and dinner all together only to find out that our dinner was cold. I will give it to the management though they comped our whole bill and drinks and we left

Visiting from Toronto. I had the moussaka combo platter — it was excellent. Better than most Greek restaurants I have been to in any city including Greece. Our server was very nice and service was fast despite being very busy. The only thing missing from the menu was pork or lamb souvlaki — they only had chicken souvlaki which I’ve never had before but it was well prepared. I would definitely return.

The food is average. The portions should be a little bigger and its very price for a greek place. I would go back, but, would not be my first choice.

Well decided to go out for breakfast, and been there done that, at all other breakfast locations in western New York. So after driving by this place gazillion times as sometimes we all do. We decided on Olympia restaurant, I am no interior decorator, but interior of restaurant was nice. Ordered(forgive me, if any misspellings, I’ll say I was using Siri on my iPhone lmao) souvlaki breakfast which was generous portions and I’m big guy so that says a lot lol, which was delicious. And friend ordered eggs Benedict which were delicious as well .We left happy and full. And will be returning as satisfied customers .they also sell fresh homemade bread for 3.50 loaf, huge loaf. Variety of Greek/American food. enjoy

We came here upon reading Unilocal, thinking the food and service would be excellent. Well, the food was good, I had the Greek omelet with spinach including house made bread. The potatoes were mediocre. I also got coffee. It was absolutely terrible, burned, watered down. Just crap. Not worth $ 2.50, more like 10c. Anyways the waitress was nice I guess. I’d give it 3 stars, I just feel as though I got ripped off. Defiantly not 1 $, I’d give it a 2 $…

I have gone to the Olympia dozens of times over the past few years. It was my parents’ favorite post-church lunch gathering spot. I don’t go as often since my parents moved out of town, but their visits back usually involve lunch at the Olympia. Overall the menu is fine. It offers a standard Greek menu that one would find at many similarly-styled restaurants in the US. The service is typically warm, although not as precise and consistent as other places I frequent. The rice pudding is always a highlight to the visit! They also have some nostalgic food items on the menu that don’t fit with their Greek aesthetic, like pizza logs and loganberry. Not that I’m complaining; last time I went there, I ordered both of those items alongside my gyro panini. All in all, I have a lot of love and nostalgia for Olympia. Is it the most amazing cuisine in the area? No. But it gets the job done and, a lot of days, that’s all I need.

Came here have breakfast. I have Chicken Slovakia breakfast with I called chopped omelet instead of real scramble egg with fried potatoes. Was $ 11.95. To mean its high for breakfast. There regular breakfast expect to paid over $ 8.00.

Great family diner. Huge variety on the menu, excellent spot for breakfast. Service was a little slow, but all of in all worth the wait. Across the street from an ice rink, so some times the restaurant is pretty packed with hockey parents and their kids.

We were looking for a place to stop for a quick lunch eat and we found Olympia. The portions are HUGE(we got a greek salad), and service was fast and great. Food was good– there are other greek diners we enjoy more because of the greek dressing being a tad superior(like family tree or Milo’s!), but if we were in the area we’d stop again. Fries are great too(the crispy kind!).

My mother in law treated us to dinner at one of her favorite restaurants tonight. It was crazy busy but we were seated right away. The interior is very attractive and inviting. I just wish some of those wines from Greece whose bottles were included in the décor were also on the menu. Alas, I noted only Riesling and Lambrusco. I don’t think they have a full bar, but it does appear that they do have some liquor like Bailey’s. The menu is half American, half Greek. I really felt like I should try something Greek, but nothing appealed to me so I had calamari. It was… not good. I can’t recommend it even though I otherwise recommend the restaurant. Prices are reasonable, especially for the generous portions. We had potato skins as an appetizer. Even though they weren’t the best potato skins I’ve had, they were as good as the skins my husband makes, making them a tie for second place. My husband enjoyed his ribs though he was surprised by how spicy the sauce was. My mother in law who actually did order something Greek liked her meal. Our server Aly/Allie was excellent. I took a slice of turtle cheesecake home. That I definitely recommend.

I came to the buffalo area about a year ago and Olympia was one of those surprising gems you find. If you like Greek food then go to this restaurant. The food is delicious and made fresh. Their recipes are traditional Greek and made homemade each day. The quantities are very large so you do have the option to split a dinner with somebody. The prices are good, so you aren’t going to break the bank eating there. Some of the dishes I would recommend are the kafteri and the souvlaki. Their breakfast is also really good. The only negative I would say is the mixture in service. Some servers are very polite and tend to your needs and others I have dealt with can be a bit rude and not give you the experience you were hoping for. The place has just had some work done so the décor is inviting. Overall I recommend you go there. I know I’m going to return.

Not a bad place to grab a souvlaki salad or other diner fare if you’re really hungry and in the Wheatfield area. Wheatfield doesn’t have a big selection of restaurants like nearby North Tonawanda so this place is one of your better choices. I give it 3.5 stars. The souvlaki salad itself is good sized and not bad. The meat in the salad is good, but the lettuce is clearly from a bag and not the highest quality like you would get at other Greek restaurants. Their Greek dressing is okay, but I really loved the tzatziki sauce here which went great with the pita and had the perfect balance of flavor and herbs. Service is good and when I got takeout they told me 20 minutes and sure enough 20 minutes later my food was there ready and waiting for me. Atmosphere is good here for a NF Boulevard diner and they have plenty of tables and space. Besides the salad lettuce my other complaint would be the slightly high prices. The lunch sized souvlaki was $ 10.99 which seemed a bit high to me, but not outrageous. This place is close to home for me so I will definitely be back for takeout if I’m in the mood for Greek food.

Stopped in here for a quick breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was good but could have been hotter. My husband went with the turkey club, it was huge and the fresh turkey was delicious! Server was nice but could have been a little more attentive.

This is what I call an” old faithful” restaurant. Good food, good service, good prices. Portions are nice size– usually have to get a box– especially if getting pancakes. Order includes 3HUGE pancakes that my kids can share and still take some home. Servers are friendly and prompt and the 1 thing I really love and that is update me on my food if the wait is a little longer than usual. Just be careful time of day you go because often have line for seating especially Sunday morning.

My daughter and I were sat by a semi pleasant hostess at a sticky dirty table. Moments later the waitress came over and asked for our drink orders and if we were ready to order? I didn’t even have a chance to open the menu why are you asking me for my order? When she returned with the drinks she seriously sat in front of our table just staring at me with her note pad in her hand and a pen in the other. So… being the smart ass that I am I stared back at her with a smile on my face waiting until she told me why she was staring at me not saying a word. After an odd moment of silence she said«can I have your order?» To which I replied I have never been here before and just walked in the door a minute and a half ago I will need a little more time to select my meal. When she returned 5 minutes later we gave our orders. She seemed to change her unpleasant mood upon return too which was quite welcomed. Once our food was delivered my omelet looked a little weird but I was ok with it. You can’t always judge something by its looks. Then literally right as I picked up my fork and was going towards my omelet with it the waitress returned saying«WAIT!!!» taking my place out from in front of me. «I gave you the wrong omelet». I thought it was both comical and disrespectful but I shrugged it off and proceeded to eat my new omelet. The food was not bad, I’ve had better but this appeared to be a regular diner with diner food, that is what I came for and that is what I got. The service however was subpar. During the entire meal our waitress didn’t ask how anything was or if we needed refills. The only time she returned to the table was to bring the check, again not saying anything as she dropped it off. Because of this I probably will not return.

I have been here many times since childhood and keep going back for more. I love their avgolemono and think it’s the best I’ve ever had. Regardless of the time I get at least a cup of this each time. Most dishes are really good in my opinion and priced right. My one complaint are most potato sides. Fries are bad and hash browns are usually cold and tasteless but come in large portions. Many servers have been here over a decade and do a very good job. Not much of a fan of the«take your check up to the counter» spots but most servers will take your card if you ask nicely. Desserts are good as well.

Last night, my girlfriend and I were going to eat at an establishment(which will not be named) that we normally eat at, but found out as we were walking in that they were having a private party. We then decided to aimlessly drive to find any other restaurant that could be open. We were traveling down Niagara Falls Blvd and were about to U-turn when we spotted Olympia. My boss raved about the one located in Gowanda, so I figured this one should be pretty good too. We were lucky to find it. Everything was great. Outside of the restaurant seemed homey and welcoming, but walking in was a little TOO homey. The architecture and layout of the building is nice, but the décor seems a bit out of date. The windows do provide natural light, but the dark walls might not be as inviting as they intended. When I think of Greek diner/restaurant, I’m thinking brightness. I’d hate to take a star away for appearance but that’s just me. Just to give a timeframe, it was 730PM on a Sunday Night, it wasn’t packed, but it wasn’t quiet. We were seated right away, and only waited about 5 minutes for our waitress. By that time we had already known what we were going to try. Greek restaurant, gotta try some sort of Souvlaki, so I ordered the Souvlaki Wrap with Gyro meat of course, and my girlfriend chose the Diner aspect and ordered the Texas Roast Beef Melt. Our food came out in about 10 minutes and we were not disappointed in the quality. Souvlaki Wrap with Gyro — Nicely seasoned Gyro, good amount to not be overpowered by veggies, just a few raw onions to keep taste but not stink up my breath, just enough lettuce to keep a crunch, and the feta cheese gave that funk of a compliment in taste and texture(sometimes the best part of Souvlaki dinners). All wrapped(NEATLY I MIGHTADD) in a warm and not too thick Pita Bread. Side of Tzatziki sauce seemed slightly above standard, nothing special but not bland. Good stuff. Texas Roast Beef Melt — My girlfriend is a little girl, but she finished the entire sandwich. I managed to sneak one bite and it was phenomenal. The roast beef slices were soft and tender, not too much meat, the BBQ sauce was awesome, seemed homemade as opposed to factory made, and wasn’t slathered and messy all over the place, melted American(the only downside because I personally would have liked some flavor so maybe they could try cheddar?) which kept everything together, all between two thick pieces of White Toast. Side of Fries — Both our plates came with fries. They weren’t average fries, diner fries, nor thick handcut fries. They were the crispy kind that are kinda frigid around the edges. It’s not anything special because I’ve had these fries at many other places before, but Olympia lucks out due to the fact that I am a huge fan of these fries. Good job management for making this business decision in choosing these type of fries. Final price? $ 18 for a phenomenal two person meal. It was a good thing we never made that U-turn. We will be returning to try other items on your menu.

Why are so many Greek places called«Olympic». You’d think that the Olympics were like, a totally Greek invention or something. Everyone knows that the Americans invented the Olympics, along with the English language and nuclear war*. In fact I think Flo Jo was the first ever person, period, to win a medal. And this should be a commercial.(Shows photo of Carl Lewis) This is your brain.(Shows photo of Ben Johnson) This is your brain on drugs. Anyway. Edit: Apparently it’s actually called«Olympia»… does that mean it’s not related to the other two Olympics? I thought all three were owned by the same people. I prefer the one on Genessee by the airport, but I like this one better than the one on Sheridan & Military. Yes, I thought there were actually three of these. They’re all a little overpriced but they’re all good to some degree. I guess this one might be separate. Pretty decent Souvlaki, and good chocolate milkshakes, but way overpriced! Kind of like this Greek girl I knew, Katerina. Buffalo has the best Greek restaurants in the world(the world being the United States), and Olympic is pretty good, but it’s just not as good as some of the others. Speaking of girls, this place reminds me of my friend Alaine. Hi Alaine :) * Note. In this parody, one of the three statements is true.

I went to Olympia the other day for the first time since I’ve lived in the area(over fifteen years) and I’m mad at myself for having missed out for so long! My dad and I went for an early morning breakfast and there were only a few people seated so we ordered right away and our food was delivered in a timely manner. I got the traditional Olympic breakfast, with eggs, pancakes, and a breakfast sausage while my dad got an omelette. Both meals were very delicious and they gave us so much food that I was able to eat half of it for leftovers! I will definitely be going back here to check out other items on the menu. Well done, Olympia.
