I like to shop the independent stores. I was a little disappointed with the service. I went in to buy six wood dowels and needed them a specific length. The employee wasn’t sure he could do this. He had to check with his manager. I totally understood. He came back and said he could do it, but if another customer needed help, he would have to stop and go help them. The manager also came over and said the same thing to me. What? I thought I was a customer. ??? It took him less than five minutes to cut the wood. I was very happy with the end results, but not the journey.

Lowest price for fertilizer and sidewalk salt in Davis Co. I have also picked up a few tools there and they always know what their products are used for and how to use them. It reminds me of a general store I used to visit when I was young and lived in a small town in North Florida, where everyone knew your name and who your daddy was. Support local. Buy from these guys and keep them around for generations. Big blue and big orange will get along fine without our two cents. These guys need our support.

Support the little guys! Owner/​manager os super helpful and I seem to find everything I ever need. Walk in and out before you can park and reach the door at Lowes. Stop next door and get a cookie at Kneaders after. Its a great ACE hardware.
