One of my biggest pet peeves is when a business quotes me one price on the phone and when I get there in person, it suddenly balloons to another level. That’s the modus operandi of this chain storage establishment where the manager on duty (and I use that term loosely, folks), forced me to buy renter’s insurance before I could rent a unit. I called bogus on the ploy and she played dumb, citing their company policy. Could I talk to anyone with a functioning brain? No, there was no one else available. Next time I’ll store my stuff in the street and take my chances.
