Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

First of all– I love barbecue! I have never had barbecue as dry as this — it’s was very odd to me-​I couldn’t add enough sauce…
My sister and i called the order in and the man on the phone was very rude and every time she would speak he would say loudly and abruptly, «I beg your pardon?» Like we said something offensive, not In the way that he couldn’t beat her, also when she asked when can I pick it up? He said «well that’s up to you ma’am?» He seemed very condescending/​then we get there in person, and he was the one at the register, said «I beg your pardon about 4 more times, I’m sorry if he can’t hear, maybe he should wear a sign that says «I’m hearing impaired bc that got very frustrating…
When we went to leave with our to go order hadn’t even packed up pickles, onions, and jalapeños, he said we have to do it ourself, then why did we do a call in order ??
We got our side/​condiments together and realized the bag had a hole in it. This just dragged out– and me and my sister laughed at the situation bc we were like wow this was crazy.
After we sat down the food was decent — the okra was amazing– the chopped bbq was dry as hell, and I will never forgot the man who said «I beg your pardon» at least 8 times in a 45 min span!
Eat here only if ur in the mood for helping yourself and eat there– do not get it to go– takes forever!

My new neighbor!
I’ve been to another Dickey’s location long time ago. Today I ordered two meats plate with ribs, turkey breast, green beans and fried okra. Ribs was great, fall out the bone and tasty. Turkey breast was slightly overcooked, just a tad bit. Green beans was horrible… Surprising! Tasted like straight out of can. I couldn’t detect any bacon flavor, as they named it. Fried okra was pretty good. Lost some points on crispiness but it seasoned very well. My bf ordered ribs, brisket, green beans and mac n cheese. He hated the green beans, barely ate it. Mac n cheese was delish. So cheesy and perfect consistency. Rolls and iced tea were great.
Since they are connected to sports bar next door, restroom was horrible!!! As soon as I entered the connecting halls, between dickey’s and bar, cigarettes odor screaming very strong. A big big big turn down specially for family friendly restaurant. I was hoping they didn’t connect. Another turned down was THERE WAS BARF ON LADIES RESTROOM SINK!!! Gross!!! Even worst to saw it after finished my dinner.
The only reason I’ll come back just because we’re neighbors.
