Cheap street tacos $ 1.75, free salsa bar and chips, aguas frescas and open 24 hours. What else need I say? It’s amazing! Love the new location.

Just visited the new building, its amazing. I hope that those that haven’t tried this place yet come see them one day. They are the best in the area when it comes to authenticity!

Great food at a fair price. They’re moving further North on Davis and will have to check them out once they’re open there. Then, they’ll probably be great for groups and have a bigger following since it’s a much larger restaurant.

Great burritos. It’s the kind of hole in the wall that you WANT to know about. And it’s the 24⁄7 hangover you need at 3am on a Tuesday: P

Carnitas burrito was killer-good! Yum yum yum. Salsa not spicy, but they had habanero sauce in the self-serve cold salsa bar. I also had a chicken taco and it was heavenly. Inexpensive and great! Not fancy, just great!

Great place, their breakfast burritos… Oh my! Chorizo and egg ones are awesome. All their food is delicious, you can’t go wrong. You can call ahead for large orders and they are still done within a timely manner. Another plus is the staff here is always so friendly! Space is limited though, that my only negative. During lunchtime I suggest you get your food to go.

Pretty tasty meal especially for the price! I’m glad to know they are open 24 hours since this easily beats the other 24 hour food options in the area. I tried the #6 burrito and cheese enchilada for $ 6.40. With the free chips, rice and beans it was a ton of food for the price — I ended up having leftovers. The enchilada was pretty good but it was the burrito with the grilled veggies that won me over. I’ll visit again especially if I’m out looking for a late night snack.

I love alvarados! We come here almost twice a week and they never fail me. The menudo, tacos, adobada, and breakfast burritos are the best in the mid cities area. Everything is made fresh and the flavor is authentic and oh so good. I wish there were 10 stars for this place.

Chips and salsa are amazing. Food was fast and large. Enchilada sauce is weird, carne asada in burrito and on nachos was greasy. Decent for the price.

Just another typical street taco place, the beef burrito had no flavor, the chicken taco was greasy just like my taco. No big deal. I’m not coming back.

This place was amazing! I had the carne asada super fries and I was hooked from the first bite!

This place was just plain bad. I had a taco salad with chicken and it wasn’t much of a salad. They threw a bunch of greasy chicken on top of some lettuce. I don’t think there was even any cheese with it. The bottom of the taco shell bowl was full of grease. The place was dirty and kids were running around putting their hands in the side condiment bar. I won’t be back.

My hubby picked up some carne asada tacos for us from here and the meat had no flavor what so ever. If you are looking for good street tacos go to North side they know how to marinate their meat.

The self serve salsas are good and spicy. The crunchy beef tacos are the bomb. The super fries are worth the price. I ordered the fries in a to go box because it’s enough for 4 people. Keep in mind this place is NOT a date night kind of joint. It’s not for the squeamish haute couture type. It’s a taco shack. Pre or post hangover cures, kind of food. Most late night Über drivers know the place by name.

Food is pretty good, but it’s kind of expensive — and the tables floor and tables are always dirty with flies. Not appealing at all– cleanliness is very important no matter if it’s a whole in the wall restaurant

I went through the drive-through for a breakfast taco… They only serve there breakfast tacos with potatoes and on flour tortillas… Unfortunately I don’t like potatoes or flour tortillas… So I won’t be dining here again.

We were in the drive thru behind one other person for over ten minutes. Unacceptable. When we got our food, it was screaming hot(unable to eat) and swimming in grease. The carnitas burrito was super dry, making it barely edible. The carne asada burrito was much better. The cheese quesadilla was huge, but it was covered in grease and not all of the tortilla even had cheese in it. We ordered a side of rice, but were given fries instead. We had been there so long we figured it wasn’t worth the hassle to exchange it. The fries were soggy and undercooked. Not a fan. Won’t be back.
