I don’t know what has happened to this place in the past year, but do not get delivery. The wait time is always significantly longer than promised and there is always an issue. Today we received a phone call 45 minutes after our order was places saying that the driver went to our house and we weren’t home. We were. I told them they went to the wrong house. The person on the phone said they would send the driver right back. 10 minutes later, still no food. I called and said please make new sandwiches and we’ll pick them up. The person who answered the phone said our sandwiches were there in a warming drawer and the driver had taken the wrong food. What? Why were our sandwiches still there and not on their way to our house, now an hour after the order was placed? No explanation. So my husband went to pick up the sandwiches. You’d think they least they could do is say«no charge» but no. Not only that but he had to wait while they made the sandwiches and allegedly the driver was still trying to find our house… where we receive deliveries all the time with no issues.

If I could give this no stars I would. Every time I have ordered for delivery there has been an issue. Delivery times always exceed an hour. Sometimes more! When I call to find out what is taking so long, there is never a good answer. Last time I had placed an order and it was over an hour and still no food. I called and the guy said they were JUST putting the pizza in then. When it finally arrived, the pizza was way over cooked and burnt. The crust was hard as a rock. This will be the final time I order delivery from this Papa Gino’s location. It gets worse and worse each time. Takes longer and longer. It’s absurd that it takes this long for pizza! We couldn’t even the pizza this last time it was so over cooked and hard!

Terrible management, guy is beyond miserable. Sloppy thrown together food, dirty dining area and restrooms. Just a bad experience all around.

Is zero stars an option? This has got to be the worst location I have ever been to. Each time I say it’s my last. Walked in tonight and ordered a large cheese. Expecting a 10 – 15 minute wait based on hundreds of other pizzas I have ordered from papa Gino’s. After 25 minutes they are now looking for my order. No one seems to k is what happened. No apology just«secret talk» behind the counter. Only person working is the kid on the grill everyone else just standing around shooting the *hit

Do not order delivery from this restaurant. Or anything as a matter of fact. The lack of care and effort into preparing meals is clearly apparent. The only thing that makes their meals taste even somewhat good is the ample amount of grease present on everything they serve– so unhealthy, and the endless deals corporate is constantly pushing out to sell their sub-par product. On one occasion I ordered a small buffalo chicken pizza for delivery(Today, I don’t really know what I was thinking). Anyway, I was relieved to have FINALLY gotten my pizza after a hour of waiting, but when I opened the box I found a «pizza soup». Completely inconsistent pizza shell(thin in the middle, super think around the perimeter), doused in buffalo sauce– it was inedible, it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. This pizza was one of the worst I have gotten from them and the last because I will never buy their sad excuse for Italian thin crust style pizza ever again.

Manager was RUDE. Teenager employee smoking at front door when we arrived. Pizza is garbage.

I have LOVED Papa Gino’s since I was 3 years old(That’s 43 years!). I love the consistancy of the sauce and the tang of the cheese. It’s not sickly sweet like some; not greasy with a deep fried like crust; it’s tangy, cheesy, and bready. Where I live there is only a Domino’s and a greek pizza place. Where I work there’s a Papa Gino’s about 15 minutes away — that takes up a chunk of my lunch hour — but like I said I LOVE Papa’s. I was very disappointed today. The service was terrible. 3 teenagers in the back and 265+ guys running the front. One register was open at 12:15 on a Tuesday. The lady 2 people ahead of me order the wrong thing on the phone and they went through what she wanted, made a refund, reheated her other orders, and WAITED until it was ready before they went to the next person in line. Well he was pissed since he only had 30 min for lunch — ANDHEHADCALLEDITIN — it was sitting RIGHTTHERE on the back counter. When I finally ordered, the whole transaction took about 5 minutes from placing the order to getting my slices of cheese to go. HOWEVER — there was just about NOSAUCE on the slices. What I had was a slightly off-tasting cheesy bread. Not happy in the slightest.

Good food, fast service, perfect for days when I’m renovating my home and when I’m hosting large parties. Look for coupons in mail!

Called at 6:00 for delivery, called again at 7:00 and was told be there in 15 minutes. 7:45 still not here. Don’t order delivery from them. Update, they lost the order. Now heating up frozen diner to eat instead. Great customer service.

The quality of the food is average, exactly what you would expect from a fast food, mass produced, pizza chain. This location has enough seating space and is not over crowded. A practical option to stop by if you are bringing a bunch of hungry kids after soccer practice. However, the delivery service is pretty bad when you consider that they always take longer than the provided estimate. If you read the other reviews you will notice a trend about complaints about their delivery service. Hals the reason anyone orders pizza from a fast food place such as Papa Gino’s is because they expect a fast and accurate delivery service. This time I had an even worse experience. When the pizza did not arrive after 40 minutes(estimate was for 35 minutes or less) I called them and I was told that should wait another 10 minutes before calling back. I did. This time I was automatically transferred to the manager. He said the driver returned after knocking and calling me(my phone was on silent). I asked him why he did not ring the door bell and was told that the drive contacts the customer by phone(that seems illogical to me that the drive would arrive at the house and not ring the door bell that is bright and visible). He made it sound like it was my fault for keeping the phone on silent, did not care to make any efforts to make amends by offering a discount or a deal but only offered to either send the same 50 minute old pizza back or to cancel the order. Papa Gino’s needs to provide basic civil training to the drivers(ring the door bell when you arrive at someone’s house, not call them on their cell phone) and basic customer management classes to the managers.

Pizza is average and they even destroyed one of mine during delivery. It does not keep well in the fridge.

I have to say a big THANKYOU to Don Miller and Bob from the Papa Gino’s in North Reading! They were SO pleasant and helpful with my corporate lunch event today and cooked all of our pizzas to PERFECTION! Bob even helped carry them out to my car for me! Everything was delicious and I(as well as about 100 of my coworkers) have just become a customer for life! Thank you, again!

It’s a Papa Gino’s. Cheap, mass produced, franchise food. It’s a fast food pizza place, can’t really give it any better than a 3-stars because when you head into a place like this, that’s the best you can possibly achieve. Teen’s running the counter and kitchen in typical adolescent fashion and attitude, it’s a quick shove-food-in-the-gullet-from-a-tray place we all hate to admit we frequent from time to time. Cest la Vie.
