Conveniently located between Putnam Pike and Smith St, Sak’s is THE place to stock your bar. Their deceptively tiny storefront houses an impressive selection of wines, spirits, and, as others have noted, lots and lots of beer! Their pricing is decent, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This is my go-to place when I’m grabbing something for a party or wine for guests!

Quality Liquor Store This store has done some remodeling and has a great quality liquor area, especially the scotch and bourbon choices. The prices are decent and they usually have anything your looking for. Tip: Near the register are end of stock deals on bottles of liquor and craft beers. Sak’s does a very nice job keeping up with new brands of booze. Thanks

Sak’s is my favorite liquor store no questions asked. Take what is good and great of the others in the area and meld them together to get Saks. Housed in an unassuming building attached to a honeydew donuts is a place with a phenomenal craft beer room, wine selection, and walls of fridge cases with beers ice cold and ready to crack open. They also have your hard alcohols and mixers, but I come here for the beer. The craft beer room is a raised portion on the left hand of the store which has cubbies displaying one or two different brews per cubbie. Each cubbie then has several singles of the beer for mix a six purposes and full six packs to buy if that’s you thing. Many places don’t have both the singles and the sixers. Saks also narrows their selection down by offering mostly seasonals and new locals as their mix a six varietals. The staff here is so so pleasant, and if they see you with items in your hand and still browsing they will bring them to the counter so your hands are free while you continue to shop. Most recently I made a mix a six and they offered to get me chilled bottles from the fridge cases of some of the ones I was purchasing.
