Before I moved from East Providence to North Providence I realized that I’d miss Del’s the most. Especially since it was only a 5 minute drive from my house. So we moved, a was I surprised that I moved right next door to a… Wait for it… DELS! This Dels is a 3 minute walk. Always tasty and refreshing on a warm Summer day… Which will hopefully be sooner than later!

Honestly, what is summer time in Rhode Island without Del’s lemonade? The two just seem to go hand in hand together. On a hot summer day, there is nothing better than grabbing a cold, refreshing cup of Del’s. I’ve been to this particular location a handful of times. Besides the traditional lemon they always seem to have atleast 2 or 3 other flavors available(last time I was there I believe they had grapefruit and blueberry). They also serve ice cream here as well. The prices are very reasonable(I got a half gallon take home container of lemonade for only $ 10!) The service here has always been friendly and they definitely have an ample amount of parking space. I believe it is still cash only here, so keep that in mind. If you are in the area and in need of a lemonade fix, do yourself a favor and grab some Del’s!

This easy-to-miss modest Del’s lemonade stand had been on my radar for quite some time. Partly because I have driven by it so often when I head home. They have the standard flavors of lemonade, watermelon and cherry. Watermelon being my favorite and least conventional. But what makes this place note worthy is their friendly, kind and patient service. Ok, so perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I am a non-threatening, honest, naïve-looking Asian girl that this happened. But I came here parched one random weekday and ordered a medium watermelon lemonade. Only to have realized later it’s cash only. Now, I never carry cash on me for the sole reason that I tend to get impulsive with my spending. I was incredibly embarrassed and said I will drive over to the neighboring Bank of America to come back to pay for the lemonade. Just to hold on to it. He politely smiled. And said to take it, don’t rush, and to simply come back to pay for it. I was astonished. I mean, granted it was ~$ 3 for a cup. But still, I could have ran off with it.

I not writing a review because my niece use to work here but because I buy ice cream and frozen lemonade here all the time. I can walk over from my home and the service is excellent. So go visit and enjoy some because we all need a little ice cream in our life.
