MY first time here, we were on the way home from Boston and going back to NJ, we needed fresh live lobsters and this place was recommended by a hotel guest, I’m glad we went in! The place is awesome! They sell food that are fresh and perfectly seasoned! Great staff and willing to help guys like me that doesn’t really know much about lobsters lol! They packed the lobster with Ice as well and gave me tips how to properly cook it

I like their seafood selection. Always helpful and usually has what I’m looking for. Was looking for crawfish one day and they were the only place I could find that had it. Live crabs and stuffed shrimp. I’m satisfied.

The quality of Captain’s Catch is extremely consistent. We go in there regularly and have never been disappointed. The swordfish is exceptional. We have also had the tilapia, haddock, stuffed mushrooms, and stuffies – all good. Prices are reasonable and the staff is always very helpful. The store is always very clean and well-marked.

This is the first seafood market that I tried from our new Elmhurst neighborhood. Everything is clean, well marked and reasonably priced. People were helpful and friendly, offering free parsley to go with. I got schrod, salmon and stuffies to bake at home. So far, so good. I think we have a new seafood market. [We had previously lived on the east side and frequented Digger’s Catch in East Providence — nice people and good prices their too].

Bought half dozen stuffed shrimp, and a stuffed scrod fillet. The shrimp was great, the scrod smelled and was obviously spoiled. A taste of the dish confirmed it. 17 bucks flushed. Be careful with the perishables and dates in there.

I can’t buy fresh seafood any where else in this state. The prices are great, staff is very knowledgable and friendly. The shrimp cocktail is soooo good. I can go on and on. Everything here is worth trying atleast once.

It all began when I went to my local Stop and Shop to buy some shrimp. They had removed their fish counter and replaced it with an assortment of slimy looking things under plastic and frozen bags of shrimp and clams. I live in the ocean state for Pete’s sake. My grocery store should not be selling frozen shrimp from Guatemala. I made it my mission to find a place that sold fresh, local fish and came upon Captain’s Catch. Not only has the seafood not been sitting in a freezer or on a plane or truck for days, it’s very reasonably priced. Cheaper than Whole Foods. They make their own stuffies that are incredible. Just heat them up in the oven at 325 for 20 minutes, and on Fridays, they do fish n’ chips. They also have fresh lobster AND once I was running late on a Sunday so I called and told them, and they said they would stick around to wait for me. You can’t beat service like that.

Love this place! Freshest seafood around! We get fish from here at least once a week. I get salmon, housemade stuffies(YUM), and they have the best shrimp coctail around! They make their own coctail sauce, you can get regular or spicy, spicy is my favorite. They have fish and chips on Fridays and it is cod and french fries and is delicious. Basically I can’t say enough great stuff about this place!

Where I get all of my seafood. Great store with everything you would expect and then some. All locally caught by the owner and other fisherman, so I have read. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Great place for everyday cooking as well as those important holiday and summer events where you need the best catch. Only complaint is that their parking lot is very small and hard to park when they are busy, which is quite often.

My husband and I were looking to order seafood take-out on New Years Eve we called several of our«regular» places only to be told they offered a limited menu and no take out. On a whim we called«Captains Catch» not only were they still open(we had about 40 minutes) but they offered a great menu with everything available for take out. Fresh delicious food… we will definately be going back. ‘Happy New Year!”

I bought a piece of salmon that smelled like it was caught 20 years ago. The stench was outrageous. And the price? Holy smokes. $ 14.99 pound. Whole Paycheck is cheaper! Given the smelly fish, Captain Snatch would be a more apt name for this hellhole.

We stopped in here to take a look after finding the Turkish market next door closed for the day, and were suitably impressed by the large selection of fish and seafood. Equally impressive, however, were the prices. $ 47.99 for a pound of lobster meat seems abusively high to me, but I’ll gladly listen to any refutation of that. The merchandise looks incredibly fresh, and the staff is very friendly. That said, my heart and dollars go to Mekong Market down on Broad Street.

Captain’s Catch is more than just a seafood market(and a good one at that!). On Fridays, they also sell prepared food, which as far as I can tell whenever I stop in, is wildly popular. The clam chowder is flavorful and fresh-tasting, but even better, they have some of the best fish and chips around. It isn’t overly breaded or too greasy, but just perfect. So many places sell greasy fish and chips that aren’t worth eating, but Captain’s Catch has found the perfect recipe & pricepoint.

While the 2 dozen little necks that I got were really good, soft sweet, delicious, I almost had a heart attack at the price of them! Captain’s Catch is actually more expensive than Whole Foods, which I thought would be impossible. Granted, those clams were the best I’ve had in a very long time…
