Super Heroes Sandwich Shop and Deli

Great local people and fantastic food. The burgers are really as good as advertised and whatever I’ve order there has been fantastic. Super good home-​made fries. Not cheap but great value.

Super Heroes never disappoints, they have a friendly helpful staff and delicious food.

I live in North Plainfield, so the walk is only 5 minutes for me. Everyone is super friendly and breakfast and lunch there is amazing! While I wait, I check out all our NP history! It’s awesome! The subs are pricy, but they’re worth it! 6 bucks for a huge sub with pickles and chips! You can’t get that at Subway!

Having eaten here in the past and enjoyed the service and food, I was surprised by what happened at my last visit. I put in an order for a simple chicken melt sandwich and 25 minutes later when I hadn’t gotten my sandwich (I needed to get to work in 10 minutes) I asked where my sandwich was. I was told 5 more minutes. Five minutes later I asked again where it was and to please make to go. At this point a morbidly obese employee (I assume he was an employee because I doubt an owner would behave in the way I’m about to describe) came out from the back and said that the order was placed only ten minutes earlier – he shows me an order slip to prove his point. At which point I showed him MY credit card receipt which had a time stamp of 35 minutes earlier. I told the employee that I didn’t appreciate having my integrity questioned – especially since he wasn’t present when the order was placed. To which his reply was «give him back his money and get him out of the restaurant.» I gladly took my money since at this point I was already late and frankly didn’t want this guy anywhere near my food. As I mentioned earlier I’ve eaten here before and was satisfied with the service, but, needless to say, I won’t be giving this sandwich shop anymore of my business. I just wanted a sandwich and instead got a serving of «Jersey» attitude. «F uggetabout» this place.

I would have given them zero stars if possible. I ordered a sandwich that had pepperoni on it. When I got home and took a bite something didn’t taste right. When I looked, the pepperoni was green and grey! It was clearly bad but they put it on the sandwich anyway. That’s absolutely disgusting. I would never go back there again. What a waste of my $ 9.

Our team has been ordering lunch in Fridays this year. Super Heroes tops the list so far. I am excited because the area had lacked a quality sub shop since moving here in 2003. Italian options are great… I enjoyed the Al Pacino. The rest of the team were happy too!

I pick up lunch here all the time. We placed a huge order recently, about 17 different salads or sandwiches, and they got the entire order correct! Nothing was missing, all the changes were perfect and the food was DELICIOUS! Great service and great food.

Breakfast choices are excellent for the calorie counters and non-​calorie counters. Lunch specials are always a good mix. Great staff, great food!

Matt at Super Heroes is super friendly, willing to help you out and makes some of the best sandwiches around.
The sandwiches are stacked high with meat and good stuff and they are delicious.
Buffalo chicken, pulled pork, cuban panini, steak sandwich etc are all phenomenal.
It is hard to find in a little strip mall but if you find it, it is superb.
