Northington Financial – Sean Hayman

This company has come up with yet another twist on the many «questionable» timeshare disposal pitches emanating from the seemingly dozens of boiler room operations located in the Palm Beach FL area and the 561 area code. Sean Hayman was the pitchman in this case, and called implying that he was working with the FL state attorneys office to help get settlements from fraudulent timeshare marketing companies. If you were defrauded by one of these companies, then you’ll most likely be on Sean’s list, and he’s coming back with a new angle. This time, after a convoluted and very misleading pitch, you’ll discover that you’re going to be asked to first send in any contracts from the fraudulent timeshare marketing companies for their «paralegals» to review, so they can see if they can retrieve any money for you. Then, after much questioning and some persistent fancy dodging, you’ll finally discover that Sean is going to tell you that you will need to send them an upfront payment of 10−40% of the «estimated» retrieval amount, so that they can attempt — working with the attorney general’s office of course — to retrive some sort of refund. Where this money is going to come from is unclear, as these timeshare marketing companies have long since been shut down and the money long gone, but hey, Northington Financial will make an attempt — AFTER you send them yet another upfront fee. If it sounds like a new twist on the the fraudulent timeshare marketing related scams that come out of Florida like whack a moles, then maybe it just is. I’m not accusing these guys — oh no — but if I were you I’d ask a bunch of hard questions … shout some expletives into the phone, and hang up when they call.
