On my way to Walmart I was looking for a place to get a quick bite and I noticed a new American & Colombian restaurant in Fairview Park that was having it’s grand opening. I’m always interested in trying new cuisines so I decided to try it out. When I walked in I was impressed with the décor which is casual but trendy. The only thing I saw that needed to be updated were the seat bottoms which were a little worn. It’s not really a big deal, but it was something I noticed. I ordered the Bandeja Paisa which is Spanish for«Paisa platter.» It consisted of White Rice, Paisa Pinto Beans, fried Plantains, fried Pork Belly, powdered Beef, Colombian Chorizo, Egg Sunny Side Up, avocado slices, and a grilled Cambodian Corn Cake. I tasted and enjoyed everything on the plate except I would have preferred the beans to be a little hotter which is why I gave a 3 star rating. The service was great and at the end of my meal both the cook and the server came to my table to make sure every thing was cooked to my satisfaction. All of the items on the Colombian Menu are under $ 10 except the Bandeja Paisa which is $ 11.99. I didn’t look at the American Menu. I plan to return at some point to check out some of the other Colombian dishes at this family run restaurant. They are very friendly and eager to please their customers.
