Kovens Conference Center

We had gone to a wine and food event here. After many friends told me how beautiful this space is I was looking forward to it. Plentiy parking but it is a bit of a walk especially when us ladies are rocking the heels. The entrance is pretty and very clean. Restrooms are easy to find and clean.
We went upstairs to the Conference Center and the outside area is lovely. It overlooks the bay which is always pretty. Be prepared it is an open space outside so you get the constant breeze. Your hair will go everywhere. On a super hot summer day I am sure it feels great but for ladies it can just be hard.
The conference center building is very large. The space we were taken to was very small. It had tables set up, a small dance area, and a stage. I will say I had a very hard time staying for several hours for the event. They have carpet and the smell was making me sick due to the moldy smell. I am very sensitive to mold so it hit me hard. I had to go outside often just to breathe.
It is very pretty but it needs remodeling. For small events it is a nice space but unless they have another room or area that I did not see I can;t imagine having a large event here. Well no more than say 75 people or so. I did like how it is far off the main road, tucked peacefully in between buildings.

If you’re looking for a real solid conference center, this is it. The Kovens Center has 2 floors, one set of bathrooms on each floor. The doors and entrance are handicap accessible which is great and they have disabled parked in the very front of the entrance. The main hallway is very wide and spacious. When you walk in towards your left there are a few vending machines and they all accept credit card so that’s very convenient. The main hallway is wide and spacious and the actual conference rooms are pretty big too. It could easily fit about 100 people. The rooms also come with a really wide screen projector for displaying presentations and videos. Overall, it’s a great location. The only cons would probably be the wild life (small critters) sometimes comes out onto the road but I only saw it happen once during my 3 visits here. Also, the location can be kind of hard to get to because it’s sort of hidden and far from south Miami. If you’re looking for a great place to hold a meeting the look no further!

Amazing event space!

I chaperoned a eight grade prom here. The location is beautiful and spacious with a wonderful patio… Great for a wedding. The only thing i didn’t like were the wildlife, I’m not a fan raccoons running by or out of control frogs. But other than that it’s a beautiful place with good food!
