Can I give a minus 40 stars? Most disgusting pizza I have ever tasted. Sauce was awfully weird, worse than Domino’s. I had high expectations for this place, but I was only able to force myself to eat a few slices, pack the rest and throw it in the garbage on my way out. I regret I did not leave right away after the first bite. Thanks God I only wasted 15 dollars(including the tip for the slow-moving, 300-year-old cranky waitress). Pizza in Miami is: Giotto, Lucali, Pappa e Ciccia, Primo, La Locanda, Fratelli La Bufala… This pizza joint should not even exist. From someone born and raised in Italy.

use to love this place, no more. the food is gross, you can get a better slice of pizza at the airport. we ordered salads which were just as bad, not sure how arugula can have no taste but it did, eggplant looked as if it was sitting for days, again no taste. the caprese salad, also horrible. even their famous garlic rolls have lost their taste. I think they lost their appeal when they began franchising their stores out

There was a time when you had to wait for an hour just to get a table. Those times are gone at Mario The Baker. The neiborhood has changed and now they are in strip mall in North Miami on Biscayne Blvd. No more North Miami Cops sitting out side to make sure the customers don’t get jacked or cars getting broken into like the old West Dixie location. There new spot misses the charm the old place had. There is a carry out and dining. I was here for the first time just picking up a pizza and some rolls. Pizza was just the same it’s always crispy bottom, good sauce. The garlic rolls to me are the best thing going here. Nice and hot with plenty of garlic as big as your fist. They are like crack. Best in Miami to some people I know. If you want pizza, Mario The Baker is a good 3 star restaurant for pizza. Don’t miss the garlic rolls if you eat here. And it’s in a better location so you won’t be profiled on «The First 48».

My friend and I wanted to order Italian to cure an evil hangover. She tried to warn me not to order from here… she warned me that it blows! But I insisted it can’t be that bad… I was wrong. Chicken Alfredo, Cheese Raviolis, Mozzarella Sticks… all bland all garbage. I mean thank goodness we ordered a small pizza but it came with pepperoni which we didn’t order…

It pains me to write bad reviews, but I can’t lie either. First the good. Very clean place — nice and spacious inside. Nice location on Biscayne. EXCELLENT service! Yummy garlic rolls(they’re not traditional garlic«knots» — they are big, soft, hot rolls in garlic oil — very tasty). The prices are very reasonable. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of free parking in this nice strip-type mall area — next to a Publix.(There are many other locations, but this is the location I ate at.) Now the food. It was not good. I had baked fettuccine. It was tasteless, and the sauce was almost watery. It was like they just dumped fettuccini in a can of crushed tomatos, put on a lot of cheese, then baked it. I took about 2 bites and then pushed it away. My friend had gnocchi in pesto. My friend will eat ANYTHING. She, too, took a bite and pushed it away. I have never seen her not eat something. I tasted one and it was gross — but, I don’t like gnocchi OR pesto, so I wasn’t a good judge of it. When we were ready to leave, the server(again, VERY nice and attentive) asked why we didn’t eat it. We told her. She offered my friend another dish — to go, which my friend took. She offered me a $ 5 refund, which I didn’t accept. If I don’t like something, I don’t ever ask that it be comped, even though I hated to pay for this meal. This place gets good reviews, so I don’t know what went wrong. We are not really picky people, but I really couldn’t have eaten this stuff. It was that bad. We MAY go back and try a pizza, but the jury’s still out on that!

Mario the Baker has really great food. Their pizzas are good, their garlic rolls are to die for. They’re the best thing there. Great for pick up but not too sure about dining in anymore. My last experience here was not too good. The service was awful. I was with my bf, and my sister and we ordered a pizza and garlic rolls and we were celebrating my sister doing well in school Our server was this older lady with white hair(I do not know her name) and during the middle of all of us eating she tells us «I leave at 4 and I’m really tired, can you please finish eating?» Let me tell you something, I’m a server, and never have I ever seen someone pull what she did. We told her we would try finishing up fast and since it was pretty rude of what she did we just took everything to go. It was awful. Hopefully their service is better now but I don’t think I will be dining in this place for a long time.

The spaghetti marinara, which was served with two garlic rolls, was very good. It was perfectly cooked. My husband said the baked ziti was delicious. My mom likes their shrimp fra diavolo which comes with a side of pasta. They also have really good pizza. The service was very friendly and attentive.

This the original. Great pizza I love the thin crust! Service is always great. They seem to keep the same waiters for years.

You can get a slice of pizza and a soda for $ 5 here. I haven’t ordered anything but this, and I eat it outside where they have a few tables. Every time I’ve come to order a slice at the counter, the owner is always around making sure that everyone is being taken care of. He seems friendly. If you’re ordering to go, the service is quick. Haven’t tried anything else but the pizza, and it’s alright.

If you come here for authentic New York style pizza or garlic rolls, you can’t go wrong. It’s as close to New York as any pizza in Miami. The décor is a bit cold and plain but who cares, the pizza is great. If in Broward, though, I prefer John the Baker because the pizza is just as good and it’s less expensive.

This a «new location» for the original store. By that I mean, the store that was on west dixie highway &135th(not the best of neighborhoods) actually glad not to risk safety for a great meal. The garlic rolls are the absolute best you’ve ever had, if you like lots of garlic and olive oil. Best NY style pizza outside of NY, so great! The dough is chewy and crispy crust. Toppings are plentiful! The service is fast and a friendly
