I recently changed to this salon. I love it. Amanda does an amazing job. She listened to my concerns and requests, talked me through everything, and made me feel comfortable. The salon is very clean and well kept. The chairs you sit in while they do your hair are very nice and comfortable, unlike any other I’ve seen. They work around your schedule and the employees have a wonderful relationship with one another. I highly recommend this salon.

Neil is amazing! I used to bounce around from place to place but I’ve been his client for over two years now. I trust him with my hair completely. He’s always ready for my next idea and has taken me from brown to purple to red to blonde. I’m never disappointed and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else! The Standard has a great atmosphere and all of the stylists are very friendly and talented. Highly recommended!

The best mens haircut in the best environment for the most reasonable price! I moved to LR six months ago and went through several professional stylists who did not meet my standard. Neil won my confidence and my business the first time he cut my hair. The Standard is just that.
The environment and all the stylists there are above reproach. I’ll be a loyal customer until I leave LR.

I found the Standard Salon on Unilocal,and all the wonderful things everyone said are true! Kayleigh listened carefully to my wishes, asked for my hair history, my likes and dislikes, etc. I ended up with the best haircut I’ve had in years, possibly ever! I’m very, very happy with it and I’ll definitely be going back!

I recently moved from Dallas, Tx & needed someone who could cut my hair. It’s normally pretty difficult to cut considering my ethnicity, but Neil gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had in a shorter amount of time than it usually takes everyone else. I was very pleased. The atmosphere of the salon is great as well as the staff. Everyone was friendly & entertaining. & for the record, Neil’s clippers are as smooth as Rod Stewart in the 80’s. As soon as I left the salon, women started flocking towards me as if I was a pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks. I highly recommend this salon & I def will be visiting again!

Just like «Bill Nye The Science Guy» — «Neil Hays the Haircut Guy» — I have been getting my haircut by Neil for over two years now. The Standard Salon has the best atmosphere which truly makes you feel as if you have never left your house, retro-​modern-​contemporary. It’s very relaxing and peaceful. Best part of the whole experience, I walk-​in, sit on the chair while Neil pours a glass of wine or if I’m the mood for a beer and in a blink of an eye, the haircut is over. I don’t have to repeat myself, Neil knows what I like and does an awesome job of communicating a perfect haircut! — $$

The Standard is by far the hippest salon I’ve been to in North Little Rock! However, the fun vibe, cool décor, and good music pale in comparison to the talent of stylist Neil Hays. Not only does Neil hit the mark with my cut and color every time I see him, he’s always ahead of the curve in suggesting new styles that seem to fit my own personality and style perfectly! I’d absolutely recommend The Standard to any central Arkansan who cares about their hair!
