Horrible food and service at the McCain location in North Little Rock. It’s no wonder they barely had patrons on a Saturday night. That should have been our clue to turn around and leave. The chicken parm slider had no flavor and was greasy. The fries and water were the best thing about my order. During one of the few times we saw our waitress, she did offer to bring something else. I declined. If the person preparing the food couldn’t manage to season the chicken, then why would I want something else. There was also a small child there(around 2 or 3) that obviously belonged to one of the staff. Maybe the manager since he’s the only one I saw toting him around. We definitely won’t be back.

Holy mother of everything sacred. The sesame tuna entrée/sandwich is the absolute best! My guy, Grimpo, suggested it and I owe him my first born. We accidentally got the entrée instead of the sandwich and our bartender, Stephanie, was so kind and brought us the buns and ginger mayo. I am in love. They have a brunch as well. Stephanie, you rock. Sesame Tuna, marry me.

First — no entrance from inside the mall — so you have to go outside to find the entrance. Not a big deal unless the weather is bad. The food was good but way overpriced. My friend had Mac n Cheese with shrimp added and water to drink. Her tab was $ 20.00 before tip. I agree with other reviewers about the service — not great. Sorry, Bar Louie. Too many other great places to eat. I won’t be back.

Stopping by for lunch around 2:30 I tought I’d give this place a try. Let me say after living in Waikiki for a year I’ve become accustomed to paying $ 11.45 @ gal for milk, $ 5.99 a dozen of eggs. I never mind paying for good food or drink. We sat at an empty bar were greeted quickly and given two drinks. One soda one alcohol. The hot toddie was over $ 8 bucks. The apps were all about $ 9-$ 12+ the entrees are about the same. This is the first time I’ve ever refrained from ordering because of price points. The food that passed by to one of the tables was small in portion size and just was not very appealing to the eye. I have paid $ 13 for tacos but on the beach made with fresh fish and large portions of both fish and sides. I don’t think I’ll pay that for tacos in a mall located in North Little Rock. And the drink wasn’t very good.

Service is horrible at best. Order entrée and glass of wine. Got my food before wine. Walk to the bar and there sets my wine. Waiter came by says oh see you have your wine. Said yea I went and got it myself. A manager came by asking how meal and service had gone. We were honest in how we felt it had gone. Meal finished and we waited and we waited on our check. Waiter comes over says sorry about the service. Evidently everyone has complained about my service. I am going to quit and get a day job. Informed manager of his behavior as we left. Food actually okay. but will not go back due to the service

Great food and service was awesome by Sean. The Voodoo Chicken is fabulous and the beer is super cold! I also suggest the Tickled Pink Martinis they serve by the pitcher.

Little on the expensive side but the burger was amazing. The loaded fries are way too rich. They were sitting in a pile of oil. The relish on top of the fries was spicy and different. Not a favorite for me or my boyfriend. The service was great. She was very plesant.

Honestly — poor service and good food Music — WTF — need to turn that down. Manager — stupid loud — you are not going to get the money in here that other bar Louie’s get in with this stupidness Been to four bar Louie’s in different areas of the country — don’t expect what you get out of other ones here. Took 10 minutes to get wait staff to our table at 10pm. Finally bar tender got us Seriously

The food was decent, but it took way to long to be seated and way to long to get drinks and place an order. And a second round of drinks? Forget about it. The place wasn’t even busy for 7pm on a Saturday. Lots of empty tables so the slow service was surprising.

Tucked away behind Sears in McCain mall, although there is no entrance from inside the mall. Love this bar. I don’t know about the negative reviews but the 3 times we visited the service was great and super quick. We go during the week for happy hour and we always sit at the bar so maybe that is the reason for the quick service. This place is really big and always seems to have more than enough wait staff. Central rectangular bar(think Cheers) with multi flat screen TV’s for watching sports. Very modern and shiny. Happy hour is Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm and they have $ 3.25 drafts; $ 4.25 wine & $ 5.25 martinis. There is also half price on select appetisers and flatbreads(which are very large and super tasty. Nice little covered patio area outside although your view is of the parking lot. Because it’s still fairly new the restrooms are super clean. Try for yourself I think you will like it.

Waited over 30 minutes on two appetizers. The nachos had no cheese on them, they were cold, and it looked liked they used the crumbs at the bottom of the bags for chips. We sent them back. The other appetizer, lettuce wraps tasted like something they put together in the microwave and served with brown lettuce. We left and went to Chili’s

I think this place is just new, and has a few kinks to work out. My wife and I came to Bar Louie once while waiting on a movie. We had a couple martinis, which are the house specialty, and they were good. They have a dirty martini with bleu cheese olives, which is perfect for me. The second time we came, we tried some food. Having moved to Arkansas from Los Angeles, I’m used to paying too much for restaurant food, but I still think Bar Louie’s menu is overpriced. I had pulled pork sliders, which were… meh. Not enough filling in the sandwiches, pork was dry, and the fries were nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, I don’t recall what my wife had. The service was lackluster and slow, which was odd because the place was EMPTY when we came. It was in that afternoon lull reataurants experience between the lunch and dinner rushes. There were only a handful of people on staff, but I still feel like our server was phoning it in. Who knows, maybe she was swamped with sidework in the back, but we were one of only 2 tables in the restaurant at the time, so it’s hard to excuse little things like empty water glasses and dirty plates on the table after we were done. 99% of the time I overlook that stuff, but this time I really just felt like the staff wasn’t trying. This kind of thing is common at new restaurants. The management needs to do a better job of training and motivating the frontline employees, or Bar Louie’s overpriced and underwhelming menu is going to shut them down quick. They are in a hard to find location in an area SWAMPED with great restaurants, all of which run like well-oiled machines. So Bar Louie needs to seriously step its game up. It wasn’t bad, but I still doubt we’ll be back. There just isn’t a compelling reason to choose Bar Louie over the dozens of other great places in this neighborhood.

If you’re looking for awesome food, look no further. The burgers are some of the best I have found in this area. If I were just rating the food, 5 stars all the way. However, bad service can ruin even the best of food. The service is extremely spotty. Out of the five times I have chosen to eat here, I have had two awesome servers and three repulsively bad ones. If the possibility of bad service offends you, go eat somewhere else.

We checked out the menu ahead of time and were super happy. The server was very nice and prompt. They have local beers on tap from a few different places, which we really like. The food was great. I had fish tacos and my wife had chicken tacos. Both we super. We will go back. Definitely give it a try.

I walked in to get a seat and the hostess walked off, it appeared to take a phone call.(Not a personal one.). There was another employee just standing there leaning on the hostess stand. I timed it and I stood there for five minutes staring at him. He finally said«there are menus over there.» He never pointed or motioned as to where. I told him I just wanted to be seated outside and get a beer. He told me I could just seat myself. I’m fine with that but why have a hostess stand? Took a bit for a waitress to come around. I asked what beer they have on tap. She showed me the menu. They only list breweries and not the beer. She didn’t know what most of the beers were. She had to go in ask and still didn’t know what all they had. I just ordered and IPA. I also ordered a dip trio. Most of the chips were stale. The dips were tasty though. The waitress did ask me if all was fine and I didn’t tell her otherwise. It wasn’t worth it to me. I didn’t want to seem like a problem customer. I do want to say the waitress was super friendly and apologized. She made a list for me. I told her that was really helpful. My food also came out really fast which is a plus. All in all it was still pleasant. I sat under a covered patio and watched a big storm roll in. The beer was cold and the food was decent. I’ll chalk it up to it being a new place and a holiday day. I’ll give it another try and check back in.
