Flip Salon & Spa

Flip salon is a great little gem in north liberty. The stylists are extremely friendly and skilled. The prices are great and appointments are easily obtainable via their website. The staff is also very accommodating, staying late or coming in early to meet their client’s needs. The color products are top notch. Hours and services offered are fabulous. Awesome local salon with amazing ladies!

Bought a living social deal for my girlfriend for her birthday (mani/​pedi w/​paraffin). When we arrived they were running at least 20 minutes late – which was not that big of a deal since the customer preceding us was one of those old coots with no regard to other appointments.
The first problem came with the paraffin dip after the manicure. The heater was not on so my gf didn’t get that (gave a coupon for another time plus free gifts=great, not that big a deal) .
The main complaint is disturbing – my girlfriend developed a severe plantar wart on her heel a few days after her visit – obviously they do not properly disinfect their equipment. Needless to say she’s not going back for the free dip.
If you want to limp around with severe pain for months then feel free to go here – if you don’t wanna risk it – beware!

As the owner of Flip Salon I can guarantee that your gf did not get a planters wart because of unsanitary reasons! I know how well my stylists clean their tools. As for the paraffin not being warm, unfortunately they were extremely busy with living social and sometimes things get unplugged. In the future instead of bashing a business that you know nothing about on the Internet, you should call and talk to the owner directly. I welcome those calls!

Well I’m happy to see business owners are actively monitoring feedback of their business – that’s step 1. However, unless you are a trained podiatrist and an expert of plantar warts, you would not understand the likelihood of that happening – in addition, if you did not personally clean the tools, you really don’t know for sure. As for the paraffin dip – you were too busy defending your business to apologize – very professional. And yes, after receiving your «compliment» through Unilocal,I think I do know the business.
