La Petite Academy

Hello my name is Shannon and I am SO EXCITED to be the new Lead Two’s Teacher for the La Petite team on Simmons! I have 10 years experience working with children 6 weeks to 6 years having most of my years with Two Year Olds. I believe the growth in a two year old is fascinating to watch and I can’t wait to be a part of helping your child learn and grow! This school is amazing and here is why…
1) The Center Director and Assistant Director have been working together there for 20 YEARS! This is almost unheard of in this field and It truly shows there commitment to the children, staff, and families.
2) This school is small and because of that they are able to maintain a very friendly and family like atmosphere, all of the teachers and staff seem to be very happy and there classrooms are calm and very enriched with materials and learning centers/​activities for the children.
3) They are NECPA accredited… for those of you that don’t know what this is, the easiest way to explain it is… NECPA is one of the nations highest standards of care are education for your young children, upholding higher health and safety standards while enriching your child’s learning experience.

We recommend that you stay far far away from this place. The staff there as far as the manager goes are very unprofessional they charge you unnecessary late fees and they would go ahead and lie about things that are unnecessary or unethical. To think you’re paying for your child to be ahead in life by them supposedly them teaching things when come to find out all they’re doing is playing with toys and doing puzzles.

My son went to private kindergarten here because I needed full day kindergarten and he loved it. Ms. Bonebrake is the perfect amount of loving, caring, and strict. She really cares about the kidsand their education. I got a lot of feedback from her when he needed work. When he had area that needed improvement she sent home extra work like a number ring (he was saying his numbers backwards). She even worked with him when he was acting emotional after his new baby sister was born. I never worried with them. I also liked the summer camp program for school age kids. My kid was coming home everyday with some new adventure they had. My daughter goes there now in the infant room and her teachers are very sweet. Its not the newest looking facility but you can see the caring touch.

This La petite location in my opinion is the best! The staff is caring, the rooms are decorated with the work of each child in the class and the imagination of the teachers shows through. My son had attended from the ages of 2 – 5 and because of what he learned here his transition into 1^st grade was seamless. My daughter has been attending since she was 1 and currently is 4 ½. From daily learnings of colors, ABCs, math, English and writing to potty training they do it all without a worry!
