I needed to replace external door lock because a part broke and it stopped opening. I got their name from my neighbors. The technician came exactly when promised, and in 30 min replaced the lock and cut extra keys in the truck. Courteous, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. The cost was very reasonable. They process credit card payment on the spot and send receipt via email.

We had just bought a new house and wanted to get everything re-keyed. About 3 deadbolts and 4 door-knobs. I brought them the required items and they were done quickly. I would come back again. Friendly and they charged less than other businesses I had checked out. Thanks guys!

This guy is not competent. I was referred there by Flood Mazda to cut a duplicate key for my car. He said he would not guarantee the key because it was not his, but that he made Mazda keys all the time. Unfortunately, i had snapped the new key onto the remote before I brought it in. He put it in the machine, and looked puzzled. It looked like he was forcing the key in there. I told him I could take the key off of the fob, and did that for him. He said«that’s much better», and proceeded to put the key back in the machine and continue. Of course the key did not work in the car. He told me that this was a bad key, and to get another one. I had bought the key on-line, but it was an OEM Mazda key. I came back from Mazda with another key(that cost me $ 60). He put it in the machine(this time minus the remote), and it worked fine. He had told me that when he put the first key in the machine that there was a «gap»… probably because he had not pushed the key all the way in(maybe the fob got in the way). He insisted that the key I had brought in was defective, but I examined it carefully afterwards, and it is completely identical to the other key, except that the toogh at the end was a bit farther down the key, because he had not put it in the machine correctly. Do not use this guy unless he will guarantee his work. In the end, he did not charge me the $ 3 for making the key, but he cost me $ 60 by destroying my perfectly good key. I should have gone to Home Depot.

We looked around for a good locksmith and based on Daniel’s review we called The Lock Shop. These guys are awesome. The person that came out today was great. He was very knowledgable, and very accomodating, and was able to do everything we needed quickly. The rates were reasonable, the advice was on point, and the quality of work was great. I would hire these guys again in a minute.

Yep, we’re idiots and locked ourselves out of our house. A quick Unilocal search on the iPhone and we found The Lock Shop nearby. I checked out their website and found an interesting video on what could happen when you call for emergency locksmith services. You’ve got to think that if I business puts a video on what to avoid, then they wouldn’t do the same things. Anyway, I called the number for emergency service and spoke to a pleasant fellow, Andrew, who gave me the rundown — quoted me a price, which was about what I expected since it was a holiday/weekend, and told me that because of other service calls going on, he could get down to us between 5 — 8 pm, which was a couple of hours away. He said he would call us when he was on the way, so we wouldn’t have to be hanging out outside the house waiting for him. He also said we would need to show him something with our name on it that had the address of the house and a photo ID. Glad that they are security conscious. Also,. since it was the weekend, he would accept cash or credit card only, which was fine with us. He called us a little before 6 pm, met us at the house, and within a few minutes had the door open. He was polite, pleasant, and professional throughout the whole experience. Needless to say, I hope we don’t have to use their emergency services again in the future, but wouldn’t hesitate to call them if we did. Also, I am seriously considering using them for other lock and key work in the future, as their storefront is right around the corner from the house. Thanks again, Andrew!
