I’m not an avid sushi consumer by any means, but I would definitely recommend this place. I’m vegetarian, and a picky eater, so I can be quite difficult when it comes to food. But the tempura roll here is BOMB. So yummy. Who doesn’t love deep fried veggies? The spot is also cool, I like the bar set-up.

I realized the only times I log on to Unilocal is when I need to give terrible reviews to places that try to screw me over; so for balance, I’ve decided to give a great review to one of my favorite businesses. This was the first one to pop into my head, because I like it just that much! The AYCE selection is unreal. The fish is all fresh and the rice is perfect. The mussels and gyoza are our favorite appetizers, but we always try to save room for the rolls, because there are so many to choose from and they’re all great. The chefs are all super polite, and very attentive, even when it’s busy. My girlfriend and I each had a couple rolls still left to eat but the chef asked if we wanted to order anything else before the dinner rush showed up. Usually AYCE sushi places make you clean the plate before getting more food, but he wanted to make sure we never had to wait for more sushi. AYCE for two of us plus a couple of beers and tip usually comes out to around $ 90, so we treat ourselves to this every couple months or so, whenever we have the money. The fact that it’s walking distance from our apartment is what got us to check it out in the first place, but I feel like we’d keep coming back even if we moved across town. I can’t wait to go back again!

It is hard to find the restaurant signage outside the restaurant. The restaurant is at the corner unit. When you see«Dragon Street»(Chinese restaurant), that is it! These two restaurants are sharing the space. They have a big sushi bar and about 7 small tables. The Service: The sushi chef is very nice and attentive. Only one server during lunch hour. Service is really so-so, not that attentive, have to keep asking for service. And take a while for her to clean out the empty dishes on the table or refill tea/water. The Food: I tried the happy hour/lunch hour(Monday to Friday) AYCE… $ 22.90(after tax $ 25). Instead of ordering rolls, I prefer ordering sushi so I can really taste the fish. A few of my favorites — Albacore, Yellowtail, Salmon, Escolar and Fresh Water Eel. Fresh ingredient, the meat is super tender. Even though it is AYCE, the sushi chef doesn’t put loads of rice to fill me up. Love it~ The Parking: Small parking lot behind the restaurant(about 4 spaces). Street front, metered parking(2 hours). Side street residential area(2 hours free)

My friend said it was a really good place… He’s not my friend anymore. We came here at 6:40 and its 8:53 and I’m writing this in the bathroom. For 6 plates it took them 2 hours… That’s a plate every 20 min… Midori is just down the road, better food and better service…

Honestly, one of the best places I’ve ate sushi at. When the world rejects fast food, for it’s deterioration of the soul, it’s always spiritual and magical to intake in such special sea fish, like women. Anyways, this was pretty amazing, yet everyone I know has tried it. Finally, I try(cue in pianos) Wow, just WOW. there basic sushi is amazing, and their special Dragon dishes and sauces are superb. will come again and again, maybe next time I’ll upload a video to youtube of me coming here to eat. Yet I already have them uploaded everywhere, just need to do one of this resturant ;) can’t wait. I def recommend this to anyone looking for good sushi, it is «DAMN» good ;))))))))) duescesssssssssssssss *_*

This place is attached to a Chinese Resturant, so I was a little confused the first time I went there, but I guess its just the same owners. I love the AYCE here. I used to go to Midori, but they are just so strict about finishing every grain of rice on your plate, and I feel like they watch you like a hawk, it’s a little weird. This place is way more chill. I usually sit at the sushi bar and do the AYCE. For lunch its $ 23.90pp and dinner is $ 27.90pp. The chefs are soo nice and if I want to watch hockey TV, they’ll change whatever they are watching to what I want.(Go Kings Go!) They are really fast with making everything, and they don’t limit what you can order to 2 orders at a time or anything. I usually just order everything upfront. They have signs saying they will charget .25 or .50 cents for any pieces you don’t eat, but they don’t really care, which is super cool. I don’t abuse it, but I don’t overstuff myself with 2 pieces of sushi just because I HAVE to finish my plate. I also feel like some AYCE places put sooo much rice with the fish(attempting to make you full off rice) but this place doesn’t. It’s really small inside, and you have to go through the chinese resturant to use the bathroom, but I’ve grown to love it. :) The quality of the fish I would say is 4/5, it’s not Sugarfish, but it’s still really good and fresh. The chefs have given me a piece or two of random fish with a sauce on top just for me to try. I don’t even consider going anywhere else for AYCE anymore, this place rules.

Awesome chef!!! Friendly staff and delicious sushi what else can a person ask for. The rice was just the right temp, and the fish has the right mouth feel. I love it here!

Tonight was my last time going to Miyako after 3 years of patronage. They’ve undergone some changes and have taken on training a new sushi chef, who just isn’t very good at all. I ordered tuna and mackerel nigiri to start. There was too much rice, and the cuts on the fish were jagged, one of my mackerel nigiri was two separate cuts of fish. I was really disappointed they sent this out to me and call it sushi when it was obviously someone untrained just chopping up fish and slapping it on a big ball of rice. It just looked so unappetizing and quite frankly I was upset as a customer because this was not good quality sushi I was being served and the whole staff knew it. Thankfully they did not make me pay for my food and allowed me to walk out. It’s been a good 3 years but I think I’m off to better sushi places that don’t hire completely unskilled sushi chefs.

I don’t give many reviews but I feel compelled to do so on this place. I ordered last night, a roll of sushi, the dumplings and miso soup. I ate 2 pieces of the sushi(it had salmon and avocado on top) and immediately knew it wasn’t right. I put it aside and ate he dumplings instead. They weren’t bad but as soon as I stopped eating, I had the urge to throw up. Everything I just ate, exited my body immediately … It was disguising. The salmon tasted weird and was cut very thick, and the tuna in the roll was also not good. $ 20 wasted.

Considered this place for some time, and they finally dropped off a menu on my door step so I saw it as a sign. Delivery was fast, but we received the wrong appetizer, the sweet and sour chicken was bland, and worst of all the sushi had 2 bones in it. Needless to say I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I came here starving, huge mistake. The fish was cold almost frozen!!! I ordered the a roll described with avocado on top that came out without it and the«chef» argued with me rather than admit his mistake. We did the all you can eat which almost 30 $, so not worth the price ATALL! The muscles were half way done and the rest were still raw. I ordered the seaweed salad and I received a like a tablespoon! They only had one waiter for the whole place, and the chef kept forgetting our order so we had to wait her remind him or wait and wait and wait. This was a big fail and I will not be coming back.

So I finally checked this place out! It was delicious, I’ve been craving sushi in like for ever specially the crunchy tempura roll and it was delicious, the price for two people was $ 60.00 but my boyfriend and I ate so much so bring an big appetite to enjoy a lot of sushi, oh and also they will mess up on ur order so don’t be surprise if they bring you a different order it it was delicious anyways. So far a good experience.

it’s our favorite hang out spot in north hollywood. 4 of my buddies & i hang out twice a week. server Pook has been so awesome to us. Chef Jay also treated us like VIPs… He doesn“t waste any of his breath, but once you get to know him, he has a lot of sence of humor. We just regret we haven“t found this place sooner… Two thumbs up POOK!!! JAY!!!

Came to grab a quick lunch service was adequate for being 12:15 Friday afternoon very desolate place once again. I will confirm and state that Sushi is an art and not for everyone how can so many chefs work in one place the same place and make every roll completely different than the next at times it can be a very pleasant experience, other times be disastrous of my very own favorite rolls which becomes very disappointing as for the staff there great and very friendly but message to the owner ALLOW your rookie chefs and anyone else to personalize improve and create a palatable meal that’s for enjoyment for everyone. A true artistic chef can create a fabulous meal without all the fabulous ingredients so far I have tried all your chefs sushi rolls and to mention the simplest dish a crispy spicy tuna roll from anyone other than JAYSON is and has been subpar to the point I will not stay to eat if Jaysons not on on duty. How do you screw up a simple roll and it wouldn’t hurt for your staff to smile and greet guests my personal opinion is if you love sushi eat while JAYSONS there you will never disappointed. My order was wrong how do you confuse hand vs cut rolls not even in the same family. I left from AYCE with a bad taste in my mouth, my mussel order was delayed and incorrect I ordered 16 and got 6 the chef was upset when he messed up the order and wanted me to eat his fuck up overall unpleasant experience I will not be dining here on the days Jayson is not there ever again… even if it was free sushi I would not attend either … Dining without a Jason is like playing Russian roulette FYI customers patrons clients who ever you wish to call them return for 3 things in this order 1) quality of food 2) service atmosphere 3) location price convenience

One of the best sushi places in North Hollywood and did I mention it’s an ALLYOUCANEAT sushi restaurant? Yes, you can eat as much sushi as you want for $ 27.90(only $ 22.90 during lunch hours). Make sure you come in with a hungry stomach because there’s over 30 different style sushi to choose from, along with various side dishes. The reason why I like this place is because this place doesn’t pick quantity over quality. The quality of sushi they serve is superb. All the times I’ve been here, the sushi is always fresh and I like how all the sushi chefs take their time to craft each sushi piece before serving it. One down side about this place is that it can get pretty PACKED and wait can be pretty long, but it’s definitely worth the wait. The servers are pretty quick and you won’t be ignored like how service is in a lot of other asian all you can eat restaurants. Parking: There’s plenty of street parking right next to the restaurant and they also have a private lot behind the restaurant.

Just went there tonight for the first time, i got the all you can eat sushi. Service was great, and the chef was very attentive. I was really happy to see that they didn’t use lower tier ingredients or limit you on the menu for all you can eat. Everything i had was excellent, i think i tried 1 of each type of sashimi and had 3 rolls. The chef will give you a piece of a roll you haven’t had yet that somebody else had ordered, so you get to try something that you may have not ordered otherwise. The sushi chef serving me was very friendly and was more than happy to have a conversation with you.

Very great service! We sat at the bar and got all-you-can-eat sushi. When we got there, a couple was complaining because happy hour does not apply on holidays. The staff was very professional and the customers left without paying. Our chef was very personable and made light of the situation although the it was very uncomfortable with the disgruntled customers(they were only upset because they did not read the menu correctly). I would highly recommend getting the banana tempura ice green. The banana was perfectly cooked in very clean oil and the green tea ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal. :)) I would recommend getting the dragon roll and the sunkissed roll. :))) I really enjoyed the ambiance and I had a fun time there with my roomies.

Shout out to chef jay! He was wonderful host today at lunch. He was the only chef today but managed to make our all you can eat orders in a timely manner, whilst also making sushi for the people who weren’t at the bar. I enjoyed his subtle ways of humor at the beginning of our meal and by the end, he was making us flat out laugh. Definitely made our dining experience better. Sushi was good. I normally don’t order specialty rolls and instead just do nigiri, so I appreciated the freshness of the fish. Octopus was a bit on the chewy side but all others were good. There was a one order limit on the uni but chef jay stuffed so much uni in there that one order sufficed. Got baked mussels and shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizers which hit the spot as well. Finished off with a silly orange man, and lunch was complete. Side notes: Street parking only. Random bathroom that looks like it’s in a complete different restaurant(why? I really don’t know.)

I love sushi! And they have AYCE sushi! Woohoo! Yay! Now when I arrived at the location I was a little confused because half the place is a Chinese/Japanese restaurant and the other side(a walkway separates them) is a sushi bar. If you enter at the corner you get the restaurant. We sat at the sushi bar for our AYCE feast. Dinner price is $ 27.90 per person. Almost the same price as Midori but with less choices. The only good thing here is that they don’t use a lot of rice to pack their rolls. The choices are not as much as Midori but the appetizers, sushi, and special rolls served my needs. I was very satisfied and full. :) The sushi chef that served us was nice and we got our sushi pretty quick. Give me choices on sauce and then I want it all. LOL Yah, I thought that was cool. Parking is on the street but luckily it wasn’t too bad. It’s in the NoHo Arts District(well, really close to it.) so your car is safe. LOL So, who’s driving? I’ll go with you. :)
