What a cute place! Yummy food and drinks, and even on a very warm afternoon(about 90 degrees), it was still very pleasant in the shade near the fountain. Perfect post-matinée dinner.

Fun outdoorsy bar with food. You can hardly notice it from the street. You wouldn’t imagine that the place is so large. The food is fine. This is by no means a gastropub. I haven’t tried the sushi since in my book this is more of a bar. It’s more a place for ambiance and fun. You can definitely feel the aloha here, thus 4 stars cause I think they are a great spot in the neighborhood. With that said, I do hope they get a full liquor license soon. It could use way more drink/cocktail options. They only have a beer/wine license so their cocktails are soju based. I can’t really bring my friends to a tiki bar that doesn’t have vodka or rum based drinks. Sigh.

So good! Everyone who works here is so fun and helpful, the interior is awesome and he food is dope. Our server Adam was really helpful and helped us the menu and gave some great recommendations. The veggie sushi rolls were really tasty and the drink menu is on point — will def come back here!

I went to this place based on a recommendation of my coworker. So happy I did! This place is adorable and the food was so good! We sat outside because of the décor but it got a little chilly so they brought us out a heat lamp so problem! I like that it’s not only sushi but there’s sandwiches and other items to choose from. Who doesn’t love sushi with French fries?! We started off with the lobster Mac which was to die for! My husband wanted another round but I told him to save room. We got 4 rolls and my side of French fries. The entire bill came out to $ 55 which in my book is great! To top it all off we had the best server Emily. She was so nice and attentive to our needs. Definitely will be going back and bringing more peeps.

We went here a few months ago with some friends who came down to visit from out of town. I must say, NoHo is one of my favorite places to go for lowkey but trendy food/drink spots and good vibes. The décor and ambiance at this place is beautiful. It had a nice island feel to it and real good food. Service is great, the servers are welcoming and super friendly. My husband and I returned on another night to celebrate Valentines Day. We reserved the little cave to have a candle-lit dinner in and that was pretty cool. Even the appetizers are delicious.

This place is the newest hot spot in noho. It’s quietly become the place to chill outside in a space where you don’t hear the sounds of the street and instead it’s water and fire. The staff is wonderful and the food is great, we love the taro chips! The sushi is great, I’m simple and love a good avo roll, and my friend loved the calamari. Also, can you beat a good Mai tai? Theirs is wonderful. Thank you for a fun night! We will be back for more taro chips!

We went and ordered the yellowtail and scallion roll, California roll, veggie out roll, avocado roll, the lobster mac and cheese, and the white wine oysters. We went and sat at the sushi bar, which was enjoyable and the sushi chefs were friendly. Not a lot of people but good atmosphere for a date night. Okay let me tell y’all about the food. Now my roll, the yellowtail, was good although some of the rolls were loose and could’ve been wrapped a little tighter so that was kinda disappointing. The lobster mac and cheese was too good although I wanted to smack the chefs for bringing one lobster tail on a big ass bowl mac and cheese like what am I supposed to with one??? The best one was the white wine oysters. It damn near had my eyes rollin to the back of my head like take me lawd! Overall, we had a good time and I would recommend this place. OH one last thing. You guys should work on getting more of a selection online than the one you currently have. I posted a couple pics of the menu but some are dark so my apologies in advance.

Alright, so the boyfriend and I made this the first Tiki bar on our most recent LA trip. It was cool to be honest. I liked the layout of the establishment ’cause it was spacious and nicely decorated. It had an outdoor area for dining(wish the weather was a lot more present), and the indoor area was a sushi bar. This is also the first Tiki bar I’ve been to that serves food. I mostly perused the menu, and it had a good variety of items. I only ordered a Lobster Mac & Cheese, and it was good to start off with, but my stomach ended up reacting later on. Honestly can’t say if it was the food or not ’cause I have a strong stomach, then again I also don’t eat lobster on the regular. Drinks were awesome though. I had the Pina Colada(waitress recommendation for a classic), and the boyfriend had Kahuna Paradise. Mine was definitely stronger than most I’ve had, and his was definitely sweet. Waitress said that they make and use fresh juice every day. As far as service goes, it was good. We were greeted right away by a friendly hostess, and our waitress was also nice. She checked up on us a couple times throughout the night, which I thought was up to par. The boyfriend might say otherwise, but I was cool with them.

I could go on about how terrible this place is but I’m going to keep it short for my own sanity: Service: Horrific. Sushi: Worst I’ve ever had. Atmosphere: The only thing that was good. The server had five tables, and was completely incompetent/inattentive. The bartender was a complete d****bag. He came up to our table while we were ordering to talk to our server. The hostess was sweet. I’m pretty sure my boyfriend and I got food poisoning from this place. It seems crazy that it has 4stars on here. We will never go back.

This place has a really cool vibe, I sat outside which was the main attraction. It was a bit dark, but lit by fire pits which kept me warm. The décor was beautiful the workers were all a 10plus. I enjoyed being there I rate my whole experience a 5, but i was not impressed with the drinks. They were very strong with cheap liqour. I could’nt drink it. Im sure I couldve returned it but aint nobody got time fo dat. The food overall gets a 3 I ordered the scrimp po boy, and I’ve had it before at other places and it seemed more like a po boy Full of lettuce and a few pieces of shrimp. It tasted more like batter. Not impressed. I suggest raising drink prices, and making better drinks. As for the food, idk dont be stingy with the shrimp. riendly, attentive and helpful. The reason I rate it 3

Very cute/romantic place, beautiful Hawaiian themed, GREAT/friendly staff, and overall best experience! Allan was our chef and he did a great job! He took time and effort to create an amazing plate. There was another gentlemen who was our primary server, although I unfortunately forgot to ask for his name but he was tall, blond, and white(sorry for getting racial). He was funny and made us enjoy our dinner even more by being friendly, joking around with us, and making us feel comfortable. Not to mention the strawberry guava and orange passion drinks were to die for!!! Definitely coming back.

Very different atmosphere, feels like your on a tropical vacation. The food is pretty good too, the garlic edamame is delicious & the rolls were good. We only tried 2 but next time we’ll try something else. Recommended you try.

Came here for dinner with Dana K with Gary G crashing the party. We sat next to one of the fire pits as we await our orders to arrive. Of course, Dana orders that chicken anything on the menu. Rather, it’s off the menu but that’s always the given. Looking over the menu, I was afraid that all I would find are sushi rolls. There is a sushi bar inside the building as for our seating which is at a larger patio. They close at 10pm due to the noise ordinance in this city. The surrounding neighbors have made complaints about the late night. Do you really think this is louder than the bar a few doors down? Once the orders have arrived, I had hoped this Hawaiian roll would be something to write home about. The chicken sandwich doesn’t look as appetizing to me but I’m sure it gives Dana that same euphoric gaze I have for any juicy rare rib-eye. A few drinks to go along with this dinner is definitely required. There are these taro chips we crunched on instead of fries. Would that be the healthier choice? I would come back for a night of drinking and a few small bites. I think it’s a great concept for this Hawaiian Luau theme. More exposure and advertisement for this restaurant would be helpful to fill this place every weekend.

After a year of stopping buy this wonderful looking Tiki Garden Restaurant to see if they had their liquor license yet — they finally did — and so I got a table. My first meal here was on Christmas Eve. There were only a few tables filled so we got our choice. We chose one next to the fire pit and proceeded to order lots and lots of good eats and drinks. The staff was super friendly. This evening’s sushi chef was not the owner(on regular days he is behind the sushi bar) — but the Xmas Eve S-Chef was a fellow from Indonesia — and he constructed some masterful sushi. The rolls were tight and the fish was abundant. We had the signature mac and cheese — but it was the least impressive dish. Everything else was great — and many things were recommended or not recommended by the chef and the co-owner who both let us know what was the freshest and best that evening — a nice touch. Our waiter was also wonderful. I should have tipped him much more — but I was 3 sakes down the well by tip time so I gave him a clean 20% rather than the proper Christmas Eve 35. But I may see him again soon. My daughter and I plan to go there for Happy Hour — which starts at 3PM — and has $ 4 rolls including a salmon roll and a California roll(both my daughter’s favorites). I trust they are having Happy Hour today because it is Martin Luther King Day. Funny how I keep coming here on Holidays. Well — I guess I know my Valentines Day pick.

Honestly, I have been avoiding writing a review because I don’t want this amazing Oasis to become an overcrowded trendy hot spot full of … Okay I will stop right there. The guilt of not sharing the love is getting to me. So, here it goes… 5 flipping gold stars! First, the sushi chef Felix is a boss(see posted photos). Second, there is a cave, yes a cave, that you can eat in and fits about 6 – 8 people! Amazing! The staff is killin it on all cylinders, especially Felix, Danni and Colby. Please come in and experience the place for yourself, but please don’t bring the douches. That would break my heart. Haha. Seriously though, is a bucket list check for sure.

Fun. Flawless service. GREATHAPPYHOUR. $ 3 Sake carafe. $ 4 rolls and chicken gyoza app. Had the Po Boy for $ 11 with french fries. Huge dish. Very filling. The décor is funky, but the vibes are excellent. P. S. they have an X Box that you can just play. :) 4.5 stars. –½ star for the bathroom tile floor. They need to change it.

I’ve been here twice, once when it first opened and another time very recently. The outside environment is really nice, especially with the weather and it was relatively nice. The seating host seated us quickly and the waitress was prompt in getting our drink order. I had the big wave, which was really good. We had the spicy edamame. It normally has garlic but we had them hold the garlic. The spicy sriacha sauce had a nice kick! They gave us a order of the house chips with mango salsa which was pretty good. We order the philly roll and the shrimp tempura. It was good, but there was nothing special about the sushi. Considering the fast service(compared to the first time I was there), I would definitely come back.

Looking for ambiance, romance, and originality, then look no further. I got your one-way ticket to paradise for the night. They have a table reserved just for you. Walking down the streets in Soho, my buddy Tim C. and I were looking for a place to eat. I wanted to find somewhere cool to eat when we happen to stumble by this mysterious place that was completely hidden from the streets. It was like a little piece of paradise was hidden beyond those restaurant doors. When you first enter Kahuna Tiki, you are overwhelmed with the unique ambience and surreal feel of relaxation that comes over you. You hear Hawaiian music lightly playing in the background, laced with the sound of a crashing waterfall that lines the back of the restaurant wall. The lighting is set perfectly, at each table you can dine by candle light and a fire pit that lights up the room. One of the coolest things is the big cave that you can be seated in. Every where you look there are big trees, Tiki’s, surfboards, even the bathrooms are part of the theme! When we first entered there was a nice lady at the door who greeted us, and let us know if we dined there she would get us a place right by the fire pit. She kept her promise, seating us in the best seats in the restaurant, right by the fire pit and near the waterfall. I think this restaurant is very romantic and a perfect place to take a date. It seems private and secluded away from the busy streets of North Hollywood. All I was missing was my Hawaiian boy! For the food, I really like complementary Taro and sweet potato chips. For dinner, I ordered a teriyaki chicken sandwich with pineapple, which came on a Hawaiian bun which I requested on the side. I was on carb punishment or I would have love to eat that bun. However, I believe the chicken sandwich would’ve tasted way better with it. We ordered garlic edamame which was absolutely delicious. Probably one of the best I’ve had. In case this wasn’t clear, this is a sushi restaurant and I don’t eat fish. I’m glad they offered other options besides seafood. However, my buddy Tim enjoyed the sushi rolls he ordered. Gary G. ended up joined us for dinner just in time for dessert. I forced the boys to share dessert with me. I don’t even want to think about how many calories are in deep fried Twinkies, but sometimes ignorance is bliss. I released myself out of carb punishment just in time to eat dessert! Our dessert included deep-fried ice cream, deep-fried strawberries and bananas, and a deep-fried Twinkies. Technically you could order all these different items separately on the menu but our waitress took three desserts and put all them all together! How awesome is she?! Customer service was excellent, prices were decent, ambience was top-notch! I most definitely recommend you drop in for a visit.
