El Pollo Loco

I eat at a different El Pollo several times a week but this was by far the dirtiest and most unorganized one I have ever been. There were 7 employees working yet every table was dirty, the floors were disgusting, the salsa bar was filthy, nothing was stocked, the tea containers were empty, the Coke machine was broken (understandable), and the manager was on break eating and talking loudly on her cell phone on speaker. I will never be back!

Only go to this particular El Pollo Loco location if you want more tortilla than burrito.

I’m so sorry to have to give this place at 2 because I come here all the time. My family loves a tostada bowl and the BRC and the pollo bowl and of course the churros :-). The staff was very polite and professional .my complaint is because of the food. I decided to try something new so I ordered the Fiesta Bowl. I shared it with my 4 year old. I was pretty irritated to find a bone in our food! I almost cracked my crown.

DON’T GO HERE. EVER!
Unless:
You want burnt, dried chicken
You want 3 spoons and no forks (if a knife were included, you’d have a full house)
You like returning to the counter 4 times (!) to get the food you ordered and didn’t get
You ask to substitute some pieces of chicken and they tell you to stick it where the sun don’t shine (OK, they didn’t say that but it was implied, OK?)
You enjoy watching an employee on her dinner break eating the crap you are attempting to eat and she is laughing hysterically hearing you complain about your meal

Absolutely the worst Pollo Loco I’ve ever been to… The food and the service is gross, dirty, unorganized. My family and I were all hanging out this weekend, my dad decided to get Pollo Loco for everyone. Unfortunately, we forgot to warn him not to go to this location. I’ve had a few bad experiences with this place and several people I know have had various complaints as well. When my dad brought the food home from this place (just this last Saturday) the issues were similar to prior gross experiences we’ve had: some of the salsas tasted and smelled rotten (and some of them were ok), but how to tell which one was rotten? Most of the tortillas both flour and corn (that were suppose to be soft and warm) were cold, stale, and crunchy at the ends, the rice had several beans mixed in (we asked for rice and not beans. what if someone has an allergy to beans? Not that any of us do, but what about other people who may?), and we had ordered an 18 piece meal though when the food was brought home we noticed there were only 8 pieces and had to go back for the rest. This place really really sucks… the food and service is horrible.

This has got to be the worst pollo loco I have ever been to. It took me like 10 minutes to place my order on the drive-​thru. There were no cars ahead of me, the girl was laughing so much she couldn’t take my order… ridiculous. I asked for a family meal with cole slaw and mashed potatos and she kept stopping to laugh and ask if i said cole slaw and corn? She literally asked me like 5 times. I kept saying no… mashed potatoes. she finally got it and apologized and said the girls were making her laugh. So i pull up to the window and they were still laughing… I got my food and they immediately closed the window and dissappeared. I did see a name tag (Lupe). I wanted to get additional salsa… but I wasn’t able to. When i got home… i was missing the gravy for my mashed potatoes and there was corn in the mashed potatoes!!!
I should’ve gone to my regular pollo loco!

So I had rated this specific location 2stars about a month ago and now its a 5. Reason being I saw such awesome progress within the staff. Also the menu keeps growing. The food is delicious and the staff are attentive to customers and positive attitude.

Waited 25 minutes for my food. Wasn’t ready. Went to check to see what happened they said they had 3 orders with the same number 10. Manager offered to give me back my money. I said I came here to eat. Need my food not my money. I am not going to eat my money. Get my food ready. Needless to say this is horrible service, ran by poor management and incompetent works. Managers Didn’t even offer an apology. Worst pollo loco experience ever.

This is probably by far one of the worst El Pollo Loco’s in existence! I would say 30% of our trips are neutral, (as in not good and not bad) but their service is pretty terrible. They frequently do not have the specialty items that you see in the commercials or even advertised on their own window or on a banner hanging from the building! Although our orders are typically correct, and I really wanted to give them three stars– The false advertising thing is just not cool and the franchise owner really needs to kick it up a notch, unless his/​her «ho hum» ratings are good enough.

This is place is my last resort when I so hungry I can’t decide what to eat.
The staff is friend but the store is super small. There is about 6 small tables in there. The salsa bar is not kept clean and the sauces are sometimes mixed with others. They need to sweep their floors. There is no outdoor seating or a TV.
The chicken is sometimes dry which is a mystery to me because when I look at the grill there are tons of juicy chicken.
I love their cilantro dressing, you have to ask for it over the counter.
Don’t order the churros, they sometimes come out stale.

The food was right but the place is dirty and the ice machine doesn’t work every single table in this pollo loco location is dirty the floor is dirty I believe they don’t have enough employees to keep the place clean and give you a better service

Go to any other El Pollo loco possible. Food prep takes forever, the employees working there simply don’t seem to care, check your food before you leave as the burrito I order was not the one I received.

Food is good and theSalsa bar is addicting. I Love pollo loco. This one place however is dirty and disgusting. No effort is made to clean the salsa bar or tables. We had to clean our own table. This place also gets packed and not enough registers or employees working. Such a shame, this is a bad place with very good tasting food. I need to find another close pollo loco.

Ok, where do I start. I know! I placed my order for a tostada, chicken mac and cheese and potato witbout gravy. I drive around to the window and there is smoke coming from the drive through window. I look in and it looks like the lafd should be there. I get home and open the box. What do you think I found? Burnt up remnants of chicken and rice. I call and ask for a manager. They hang up on me 3 times. I finally get the manager. She tells me in broken english «bring it back, I change». What does she think? Everyone that goes in there lives in parking lot? Let me get this right? I’m supposed to drive all the way, use my gas and waste my time when all you had to do was read the ticket and bag the order? I told her all I wanted was the number to corporate. She told me 1 – 800 and hung up. If anyone wants the number to corporate it’s 877−375−4968.

Customer service is great. I would deff give them a 5 on that but the place is so dirty :/​makes you almost not wanna eat there. I mean wiping off the condiment counter shouldn’t be such a hard task, I did it myself when I was grabbing the sauces. You got pico De gallo sacuse all over on the floor the counter tops and flies bzzzzing around it. I had to air slap a couple of them waiting for my order to be called. Né way, the food is whatever. Chicken smells funny to me therefor I always get everything without chicken here.

This place is really close by my house so i go every now And then when im looking to eat remotely healthy. They’ve started putting cabbage in the food instead of lettuce. Whats that about!!! And EVERY SINGLE TIME I ask them to replace the cabbage with lettuce they NEVER GET IT RIGHT!
Im constantly complaining that they get my order wrong but they dont seem to care much. Eww who wants cabbage in their burrito or salad?!

El Pollo Loco you have failed me once again you motherfucker.
After a long day at work and my dumbass forgetting to pack a lunch I was tired and starving. I rolled through the drive thru and ordered a chicken salad, I asked for an extra thing of cilantro dressing. Sure, that’ll be an extra .75 cents, ok whatever.
Rolled up grabbed my shit and headed home. Got home washed my hands and prepared to grub. What a disappointment. The lettuce was wilted as fuck and brown as shit, the chicken was super dry like it had been set out in the sun for 2 days, if I wanted jerky I would’ve scooped some up from 7 – 11 man. The worst part of the whole thing was the fact that they failed to give me any dressing at all. Not only did they charge me .75 cents for the «extra» one, but they didn’t even give me the shit that comes standard with it.
El Pollo Loco you fucking sucko!

There is a bus stop right in front of them so it’s always kind of busy but I think this is the reason why the chicken is always so fresh and juicy never dry. they’re constantly making chicken and never holding it. and they’re really friendly. They’ve got my business!

One of the worst Pollo Bowls I’ve ever had.
Just to repeat some of the other comments here, the chicken was way over cooked, dry, and barely edible. There was so much bean broth that my chicken bowl tasted more like a soap. Absolutely horrible.
Avoid this location at all costs.

Its more of a 3.5…
I do enjoy this location as the food is always good and flavorful. The salsa area is usually clean and stocked and the place is usually clean.
Only thing about this place is that the portion sizes can be a little inconsistent with meat. Some bowls have more chicken than others, same for the salads…
Either way… ill be back… its still an El Pollo Loco… and its still good and there when you need it at least.
