Christ Chapel of the Valley

This church has completely changed my life. The minute you walk in the doors you feel the warmth and love of Christ. Everyone who attends this church is open, friendly, and loving of all people. Pastor Jerrell is an inspiration and a man who truly walks a Christ-​like path and who lightens the way for others to do the same. I have honestly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit at this church. All are welcome at Christ Chapel and no matter who you are, you will be welcomed and not judged. I am a straight gal who believes that everyone should be welcomed into the house of the Lord. And that’s just how Christ Chapel makes you feel. Service is at 10:00 am on Sundays. Stay for coffee and fellowship after… I hope to see you on Sunday!

Pastor Jerrell is down to earth, strong, compassionate and has understanding of the bible. He leads by giving people power. A pastor with class without engaging in drama that sometimes can simmer in a church. Truly grateful for him and this place considering how out of control non denominational churches can get.
A great pastor whose objective is helping people to a peaceful life with Jesus.
Check out this place and my hope is more people will come listen to him teach the bible. And the food is great after too!

I have attend CCOV for 4yrs now I can truly say I’m at home. I attended the church when my marriage was at it’s lowest, thanks to my family at church I’m glad to say my marriage was saved. Everyone at ccov are so laid back and chill we don’t only see each other on Sundays. We can call each other and hang out. I’m blessed to have found ccov. I hope that when you visit us you feel that way as well.

Ok. So I’ve noticed here in LA, when a church welcomes «everyone», its going to have a strong mix of LGBT parishioners. And that’s ok but if you’re straight, you are most certainly going to be out numbered at CCV… And that’s ok too, but you can feel slightly out of place, like you’re the only one… that can render you
shouldn’t but I felt that way. The pastor is a sweetie, humble, unpretentious, and sincere. He’s a good messenger. I liked him. .i will say the biggest drawback for me at CC of the V, was the long winded musical selections. The service opens asking the parishioners to stand and sing mostly original contemporary Christian,…nice…but each song selection (up to 4!), are about 10 min each! And so you are asked to stand up to sing for about 20 – 30 minutes. So eat your Wheaties before you arrive. Maybe it’s a filler, but it was a turn off for me. I would go back again, but making sure I arrive late

What a great find! I can’t even remember how I found about CCOV, but so glad I did. The people there are so welcoming and friendly. Pastor Jerrell is passionate about God and leading this church, and the worship is truly inspiring. The best thing about CCOV is that you see with regularity, people who realize that we all have faults and we strive to be the people God created us to be. Moreover, they demonstrate God’s love freely and openly to everyone.

I’ve been a part of the church since 2003 and now serve on the board and Ministry Leader team, and I can say CCOV is the reason I came back with a desire to follow Christ after some years of confusion. Come and see. There is a real family here and you will experience God’s Word and Spirit in an awesome way.

This is the church family I never dreamed I’d find… but I have! I’ve attended here for at least 5 years & became a member a few years back. Experience God’s love with a spirit of acceptance that reflects the way Jesus showed us, come visit!

I’ve been going to this Los Angeles church for over 11 years. It is awesome to see a church that truly shows what Christianity is – love God, love others. It accepts people who want to seek Christ: young and old, gay and straight. It teaches that God will meet you right where you are. No hidden agendas, just an outpouring of love, caring, friendliness, and all the things that Jesus would provide.
The congregation has families with kids, young and mature singles, and married couples and committed partners. We have every ethnicity under the sun.
The music is awesome and led by the spirit. It rocks, and sometimes it sways and bends! Pastor Jerrell’s sermons tend to hit you right between the eyes – about as relevant to your life as a sermon can ever get. People are down to earth and very friendly. And even the food that is served after the service beats even the big mega-​churches.
This is a church where every time you attend you will feel uplifted and blessed. The message is not watered down, but it IS brought up to today and made relevant for our current culture and context.
Services on Sundays are typically about an hour, maybe sometimes a little more. But people stay and talk for sometimes up to an hour. There are cool home groups too that meet all over the LA area. And out of these groups come some very strong friendships.
If you have EVER been rejected by a church that calls itself Christian but acts like a velvet rope nightclub, then come on over to Christ Chapel of the Valley. Gay Christians are welcome, Straight Christians are welcome, and Families of all types are welcome.

I’ve attended Christ Chapel of the Valley for many years, and I am really grateful for this church and its ministry. If you’re looking for a place to grow in your relationship with Christ and be part of a welcoming family, look no further. Pastor Jerrell’s sermons are thought-​provoking and inspiring, and the worship music is great. Doesn’t matter your race, background or sexual orientation, Christ Chapel is a place of encouragement and spiritual healing for those who want to reconnect with God but don’t feel accepted anywhere else.
