This is a specialty clinic. Easier to get to than Wilshire. Very friendly staff and clerks.

I always hear «horror» stories from others and it makes me feel guilty because this is the VA I go to and I absolutely love my Doctor (Mrs. Bean). The facility is clean, there’s plenty of parking and the staff here has always been so polite! I guess I’ve just truly gotten lucky! I can say the only downside is the wait time but it’s honestly expected, they try their best not to go over the scheduled appointment by much but it happens. I’m over 50% disabled, so this is my primary healthcare, so I’m thankful and blessed for such a great facility.

As a veteran, I am happy I don’t have to go to the West LA VA facility all of the time. A majority of the VA employees are awesome, but there are a few, mostly nurses, that feel we’re getting a free medical ride. They haven’t fought for their country, just for a paycheck. For those that appreciate what they do for Veterans, Thank you

Came to facility from Holly Cross as a walk-​in, all I wanted was to get meds as prescribed by Holly Cross. If you come in as a walk-​in be prepare to wait 4 to 5 hours before a doctor can/​might see you.
Clerks behind desk area are always gone or doing something in the back area.
All I needed was my prescription to be enter in the system. The personnel kept on saying that «the doctor is working on it.»
Nurses? What nurses?
Per there vision: «To be the preferred healthcare for veterans by exceeding their expectations and being recognized for quality care, innovation and value».
Yeah, a lot of words but nothing to back it up.
There mission and values, are a joke, again came in as a walk in for prescription. So, just be ready to hear all kinds of excuses.
No customer service.

I Cannot stress how much this facility needs to be followed by the other VAs I’ve been to. My review is for the specific clinic the mysterious dbq clinic. The way this clinic works is I’d you are already service connected for something and want to file for an increase then this clinic is perfect. Once you have decided what to file for schedule and appointment to get examined. This is a faster way then to have the VA schedule you for an increase exam. Go to the dbq clinic first. Then go on ebenefits and submit your claim for increase and it’s much faster

I want to like this place but every unfortunate time I’ve had to come here: A) staff couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge me or my check in, B) incompetency, C) waste, fraud and abuse come to mind, D) if you have issues please don’t project them onto me bc you can’t deal with people, E) you only have a job where you sit on your a$$ bc of Veterans, you should probably remember that key piece before you lose your temper with Veterans

Good service, nice place. I thought it was going to be crowded and feel like the county clinics, but I was wrong. Also, you can chat with anybody while you’re waiting. It’s not like LA where nobody talks to anybody.

I was really surprised when I started going here. I expected it to be overcrowded and understaffed with really long wait times, but I was way off. I haven’t met anybody here who was rude or unwilling to help me.
From my few visits here, I must say that the facility is beautiful and very modern. The OBGYN I saw was amazing, and she was beyond knowledgeable and helpful. The x-​ray and MRI techs have all been so friendly and professional. Lab work, x-​rays, and the pharmacy go much faster than I would have expected based on my experience at MTFs. They also offer free classes just for women to ensure the best care and comfort for their patients. I LOVE this place. I don’t think I’ve been to a medical center nicer than this one.

They hook it up, for some reason when I go there, I don’t have to pay for anything, weird…

One of the best VA facilities. I used to go to West LA, but when I had a clerk fall asleep on me as I was being checked in for my Gold team appointment, I looked for a new place.
While they do not have Emergency Services (boo!), they have a newish building that is used for many different TV medical dramas. Admin staff, nurses, doctors and residents seem good and they tend to listen. I only had to change once from a Nurse Practitioner that I didn’t like. Also, the dermatologist needs to be replaced. She obviously has decided long ago to figure out ways to get out of doing some basic minor services.
The food at building 20 is the only thing that is bad. They have a little canteen store that sells Afees basics for low prices (without sales tax since this is a federal institution).

This place takes good care of you! I spent 5 ½ years on active duty and 4 ½ in the reserves and still don’t feel like I deserve the awesome treatment I get at this place! The doctors and staff are always so caring, patient and caring. Thank you for all your hard work!

For giving me free medical care, this place is great. Some employees (like the telephone people) are not the best, but the people that actually treat you are trying to do the best they can.
It’s a very busy place so make sure you make your appointments and not miss a single one or else you’ll be back in the line for a whole month.

This place saved my life. That’s the truth. The staff at the C.D.T.U. Are nothing short of saints. The countless vets I have met there are among the greatest people I know.
