Terrible staff especially YENNIFER. The store was not busy, as a matter of fact I was the only one in there trying to get my fried chicken fix. Of course YENNIFER had to give me a handful of her attitude. Best believe I’m going to let corporate know.

Meh, The chicken tasted«ok». But I felt this was a poor knock-off of KFC and other Chicken places. When I got my two piece Peruvian grilled chicken I thought it was a joke. Came along with a stale piece of bread, some sad instant tasting mashed potatoes. There was more packaging than anything. My wife had the same, but with coleslaw that I wouldn’t bother giving to my dog. ½ star only for the marinade on the burnt Peruvian grill chicken that tasted«ok» and ½ for the cashier that was smiley friendly. I don’t think I’ll be going back! Sorry!

Good place to grab some fast fried chicken. Been here a few times when I’m in town and the ladies working are always super nice, and my food is done fast. Only thing that bothers me is when they have pay per use restrooms. Other than that, everything is what you expect from a fast food place.

Too all the people who believe this is Mexican style chicken you dumb ass hell its central american style fried chicken so stop with the pollo loco is a better Mexican style chicken because pollo compero is not even close to Mexican style chicken pollo compero is central America/Latin american style so get your shit straight and stop thinking that when a restaurant is Latin America or Hispanic that it is a Mexican style food restaurant.

This spot is the worst spot I been to in the valley. The food is very greasy the customer service was the worst. Not sure if I caught them on a bad day, but never ever will be showing up at this spot ever again.

Horrible service, the workers there are literally uneducated. Made my order at the drive thru, kept forgetting & had us repeat the order twice. Got to the window to pay, and still, asked us what our order was. It was our first time there & definitely not a place to come back to. It was salty & greasy. Good luck getting your order right!

Very disappointed. Im 2nd generation born here in the states. My family is full Salvadorian & have been to El Salvador. So that in being said… the chicken sold here sucks. The flavor just isn’t right. As i write this, I’m trying they’re citrus grilled chicken. And its bland, no flavor, the rice is dull, the only thing that is great are the french fries. Oh and did i mention the little pieces of chicken i received, so small that it was a snack! Not a meal! -.- for 9.04 no worth my money. It should be worth 5 to be honest. Just sad.

At best, the food is mediocre. The reason for the rating is the price and the quality of food. I ordered a full meal for my family to change things up a bit and would have rather gone to my local food for less to buy a whole chicken for five bucks. At pollo campero, I paid 15 $ for 5 – 6 pieces of grilled chicken. I also ordered dessert, $ 2.99 for one flan, that looked delicious on the sign, but also ended up being the same kind of flan from food for less that is sold for. 88 cents. Talk about a rip-off. I’d avoid this place if I I were you.

The food was really good. I got the citrus grilled chicken and black beans and rice. The chicken was well done and delicious. No complaints here. Staff friendly and great environment too.

Chicken salad was pathetic. Simply lettuce and a meager amount of shredded chicken. Definitely not the place to eat for the health conscience unless you want to spend your money on fasting. As for the fried chicken, so what? Nothing exceptional according to mom.

Went through the Pollo Campero drive through on a whim the other night looking for something different that I’ve never tried before. Got some chicken and empenadas with my buddy. We were kinda dissapointed with how greesy the food was. The flavor was there, and it was unique, but the amount of greese left on the chicken in pariduclar was quite discusting. We had to pat them off with napkins before we ate them just to make them okay.

There is really not much to like about this place. Overpriced, rude service, mediocre food at best, small portions. Had to try it because I live close, regret it. Seriously, go across the street and get better food from Vallarta.

This was a great location, but last night was horrible. Service was terrible my order was wrong, the food was salty and cold. I called the next day & was told that I would be taken care of with a replacement meal when I bring the reciept. I came in later this afternoon and was treated like a criminal, the manager was dry & condescending he did not apologise and did not replace my meal. He gave me some sides and a couple peices of chicken not my original order. Im upset how I was treated, I use to go there at least x2 a month I told my family & friends how great there chicken was, but now I will find somthing else. I am a L.A. city worker & it hurt to see a plaque on the wall with a city seal on it. We often use resturants for catering, they will never have my vote. Good luck here, spotty service and cold salty sides.

Now this is waaaaaaaaaaay better than KFC! The chicken is always cooked perfectly, and each bite is packed with flavor. Ask for a side of gravy and dip your chicken in it. I’ve only dined inside once, and it was fairly clean. Customer service was polite. I always go through the drive-thru. The service is always on point. Usually when I go through a drive-thru, I’m concerned that my order is wrong, or one chicken piece is missing, but nope. Not here. A lot of Unilocalers seem to be complaining about the price. Well, if the price of minimum wage goes up, so must the prices of minimum wage retailers. They have to make up that money some how. I’m not knocking the salary increase. These workers do a gray job, and I feel they deserve more pay.

I finally found a Pollo Campero after seeing all of their billboards everywhere. I figured that if they are spending that much money on advertising, then they should have a product to brag about. I went to this location in the Valley and was amazed that there was only one way in but there was an emergency exit on the opposite side of the building. This place was easy to order 1 of everything on the menu and for less than $ 50 bucks. lol Here is the lowdown on what I found and how I found it. The Chicken be ordered fried or grilled. The grilled chicken is more than twice the price of the fried. Fried Chicken: Somebody needs to learn how to cut the pieces. It is poorly cut and loaded with bone fragments. The batter is salty and lacking of any other flavor. It was cooked all the way through and the texture was juicy. Grilled Chicken: Cooked well but seriously lacked flavor. Empanadas: Undercooked and made with unrested puff pastry. The filling was almost like a Swansons Chicken Pie but had hardly any flavor. A touch of cilantro took it out of it’s element and had no resemblance of Central and South American cooking. House Rice: Had a rich red color but no flavor. This rice tasted like it was previously frozen. House Beans: This one did shine just a bit. It had slightly raw Pinto beans, bits of onion, cilantro, jalapeño and just a hint of bacon. similar to «Frijoles a la Charra.» There was a bit too much salt and too much liquid served with them. I was more like a bean soup. Tortilla Soup: lacking in flavors other than salt. blehhhhh. I can’t figure how a place can use so much salt in their food. Salsa:(Med) Roasted and made in a mortar and pestal(mocajete). This one had more heat than the hot salsa. Salsa(Hot): Seriously lacking in flavor and heat. The cumin is a nice touch. Slice Jalapenos” Canned? OMG. get real. Ketchup: Also canned. My overall first impression was not very good. It wasn’t even as good as Popeyes or Churches(which is pretty bad) but barely beat out Jollibees.(Bottom of the line) lol I may try one more location and see if there is any consistancy.

This place was ok. The chicken itself was very juicy which was nice and the side of beans was generous. The only thing I didn’t like is that the menu is kinda confusing and I had to repeat myself constantly to the cashier. In too of that it took about 10 min just to order 2 legs and a side if black beans cuz she was not paying attention and she was so slow at giving me my change. I’ll come back but just if in really craving this chicken.

I’ve been wanting to try this place because I love Pollo Loco. I was in the area after my Dr. appt so I went to the drive-thru. The staff was very friendly and fast. The chicken was oddly greasy and I ordered grilled, so go figure?. The skin wasn’t as crisp as I like it and it was marinated with too much lime. It was more like lime grilled chicken(thats what they should call it) In my opinion, Pollo Loco is waaaaaay better. If you like the taste of lime on your chicken then you might like it. The chicken itself was very juicy. The sides were very ordinary, and they only had a half chicken meal. I would have preferred a breast & wing only. So for 8 bucks and some change, lets just say I satisfied my curiosity and will stick to El Pollo Loco.

No complaints here! This is WAY better than kfc. $ 2.99 for a two piece, fries and a small drink. Straight grub. The restrooms are clean and the service is A+
