I am very big on customer service. I am pregnant and was craving a good burrito. I went through the drive thru– the drive thru mic was cutting in and out so the lady taking my order couldn’t even understand what we wanted and aside from that she just kept asking«is that all? Is that all?» Before I could even finish my order! I had to pull up the window to complete my order and she kept rushing me still, cutting me off while I was trying to speak and trying to finish my sentences. Very annoying. Aside from the rushed and impersonal service the food was good but it was my first time there and because of the service it’ll be my last– there are plenty of places I can go and get a great burrito and exceptional customer service.

Good service, good prices, great food. After a soccer session, Taqueria Jalisco gives everything and anything a hungry customer would want. For $ 6, one can be stuffed by a carne asada burrito and fresh chips. The only thing that could be improved would to add a spicier option to the salsa bar. Thanks for the amazing meal!

Very clean, pleasant furnishings, friendly staff, nice salsa bar. The super burrito with carne asada was a bit dry, but that’s what salsa is for, right?

The«McDonalds» of mexican food. The refried beans tasted canned, rice was weird, chicken was old and dry. When I asked about a sauce the cashier asked the lady in the back, and she didn’t know if it was made from tomatoes or chiles; so the cashier asked her if it was the rosarita sauce. Would not pay to eat there again.

Amazing place, tried it out with a friend about a year ago and have been a regular here since. Its the same nice lady there all the time that is very sweet. Food is amazing, yes it is a little fat and spicy but thats what Mexican food is about when you order some tacos or a wet burrito. The fact that the cook in the kitchen is a mid aged woman who has been cooking all her life and takes pride in every dish is very obvious. Walked into their mens restroom and even though it is a bit outdated it is very clean and always has a slight smell of chlorine, which tells me that they clean those bathrooms regularly. Fresh salsa and chips are unlimited with a meal. Prices are very fair. If you like Mexican food and want the real deal instead of all the fake meats at Taco Bell then this place is for you.

I have been going here for the past year and love this spot. I am a huge Mexican food fan and this place is great. There marinated chicken is amazing. I have never had a bad meal here. Best Mexican food in the area for the price hands down.

Pastor burrito and tacos is so flavorful! Reminds me of the Bay Area tacos! Real authentic Mexican food! Glad I found this delicious spot! Must try!

I’m a very picky eater and barely ever like anything. I rarely venture out of burgers, chicken strips/nuggets, or salad but my grandma brought me home a wet burrito from this place and to everybody’s surprise I actually liked it. Those things are huge stuffed with meat, cheese, rice, beans, sour cream. Just a couple days ago I decided to try something new so I decided to try the Asada fries. I got Shredded chicken, Sour crème, and cheese(pico de gallo and guacamole come on it as well). It was so good. Once again big portions and taste delicious. This is the only authentic mexican food I have ever had so idk how it tastes compared to other places but I love it. Price is about $ 7 but to me it’s worth it if you get it every once in a while.

The food here is great! I love the carnitas super burrito. The chili verde is also delicious. Very good shrimp tostadas. Very pleasant customer service the owner is an extremely nice woman. New to the area and by far the best taqueria we’ve found which is why we visit at least once a week.

A good solid option for street tacos. Ordered Pollo Asado and they come on a two-ply corn tortilla. Lots of meat and a nice spicy salsa. $ 1.69 per taco was a fair price. The salsa on the chips was very hot.

2.5 stars. Just don’t get the other rave reviews. Decided to try this place while taking a class close by. Upon approaching the menu you find many taco truck items(street tacos, super burritos, etc.). There are accompanying photos; not necessarily too flattering of the food. I ordered two street tacos, one asada, one pastor. They were $ 1.94 each with cheese. I also ordered a «large»(24 oz) soda for $ 2.00. So just shy of $ 7 for two tacos with a soda. Neither taco was very impressive. A pretty standard(smallish) amount of meat, onions, cilantro, cheese(taco bell amounts… literally a few shreds each taco). The pastor was overly salty. Flavor was ok, but nothing to rave about. The asada was somehow both overly salty(not as bad as the pastor) and bland. There is a free salsa bar, which is one of my favorite aspects of a Taqueria. The minimum charge is $ 3.50 for chips with salsa; reasonable and quite easy mark to hit with the prices above. There was pico, a spicy thin red sauce, a more traditional salsa, salsa verde, picked jalepenos(looked like right out of a jar, not fresh Mexican style), and some pickled onions that were a weird purple and gross looking. I had the first three listed and they were pretty good — exactly what you would expect in flavor and consistency, and were fresh. The chips were overly salted(rub with fingers first to remove some of the salt). I should also mention they had combination plates, and seafood dishes… both were running $ 10+, with pictures showing runny guac, amongst other«features» that make me question their value. I just couldn’t see going to this quality of a place and dropping $ 13 on seafood. Kinda like ordering«fish» at long john silvers, sure it’s fish but… So, guess it’s what you’re used to. If you’re used to taco bell, then this is a definite step in the right direction. If you haven’t live in cali long, then maybe you think this is it when it comes to Mexican. Personally, at $ 7 I expect better. For the prices I could have real Mexican food. For less, I could have way better taco-truck type food.

This place is the best place to come for tacos. The best al pastor tacos ever! The meat is very well seasoned and very flavorful! I havent really tried anything else on the menu, the tacos are my favorite so thats all I order everytime I come here. They have the dollar tacos monday thru friday from 2pm til close. I recommend this place to everyone who wants cheap and delishious tacos!

I must say, this is one of the better taquerias in the North Highlands area. Their rice is always fluffy and their beans have chorizo in them!!! Score! I always love that little something extra that sets them apart from other places. Taqueria mi Jalisco holds daily specials for a fair price. Typically, the special consists of a taco plate, enchilada plate, pozole or another one item combo. Their tortilla chips are always fresh and crunchy. Unfortunately, there is a minimum purchase required in order to get your chips for free. But it’s something minimal, like $ 4. Their salsa bar is also very fresh, consisting of Pico de Gallo, two red salsas, Salsa Verde, Pickled onion, jalapeño and lime. Lastly, service is very nice. The staff are always friendly and easy to talk with. The tables and chairs are aesthetically appealing, culturally appropriate, and a sweet little addition to enjoying some good old Mexican cuisine!
