North Highlands Community Health Center & Birth and Beyond

I don’t normally write reviews but I found it necessary to write this one. This is only based off my personal opinion and experience in dental office. This place is absolutely horrible. Front desk staff are very unpleasant and unwelcoming. No greeting as u come in, and you can litterally stand there for about 5 minutes and be ignored. I had my appointment 5 months in advance and still sat in the lobby a good 45 – 50 minutes. While the staff has nothing to do with the patients coming in It was very crowed and never had seating. I hope I can get a different office after this because this experience was not pleasant.

Most of the staff here are reasonably helpful. Most are reasonably friendly. They offer a number of free or low cost classes and services and accept medi cal.
Whatever you do at all costs avoid the middle aged beunette white lady at the front desk. She appears miserable constantly. I have never had a good experience with her. Not even acceptable experience. Even with simple things she seems not just uninterested in helping but even seems to prefer to be unhelpful. Clearly does not like interacting with people and does not like her job. I have no idea why a rude unhappy person would be employed at the front desk.
If anyone else especially the young girl are at front desk ask them avoid this woman she is bad news.

I have never seen a medical practice run like this. I get that this is a community clinic, but it is almost impossible to get a hold of someone. As of right now, I have been waiting 2 days for them to call in and RX and I can’t get a hold of someone at the clinic. I spend 30 minutes on hold and then get told to leave a message. This happens every time I call. If you can avoid them, do. The sad thing is, they are all very nice and every thing moves quickly when you are there. As soon as I get my RX taken care of, I am switching my PCP.

They never answer the phones they never return phone calls there are always long wait times rude receptionist. Avoid this place at all cost.
