Drinks are WEAK and watered down. I’ve complained to bartenders and management but then they charge me for an extra shot instead of making a real drink! Pool is way too expensive. Music sucks most of the time. Bartenders on The weekends(The 2 girls) are snotty and rude. The only good thing i can say is it’s a great location. Way better place before the new management.

A standard bar with pool tables and dart boards. The first thing you’ll notice about this place is that it’s in an oddball location. It’s on a side road in an industrial zone. It’s small and easy to miss, unless you’re paying close attention. I came here with a friend to shoot some pool and grab a few drinks. The bartenders were friendly and several people at the bar were watching some football games. Even though it wasn’t very busy, it got a bit rowdy at the bar. Not obtrusive, but certainly on the lively side. They kept playing Who Let the Dogs Out after good plays and touchdowns. That got a little old after a while. The pool tables and cue sticks were in good condition. The only thing that I have to say is that the prices for pool and drinks were moderate. I was expecting it to be a bit cheaper based on the reviews. Pool(for two) and three standard drinks came to 50 bucks. I’ve certainly paid less for the same at many other places. I wouldn’t mind meeting someone here to go out, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of you way to come here. Especially given how many other bars there are in the area.

The location of this place is bizarre and definitely deters any out of town-ers from coming in. I don’t mean tourists, I literally mean anyone from outside of the North Haven area. If you don’t know about this place, you’d never know it existed and you’d never stumble upon it. I’ve lived in New Haven County for 26 years and didn’t know it existed until last year. Now that being said, I wasn’t missing out on anything, so I don’t particularly care, it’s just worth noting. It serves it’s purpose. As the name insinuates, it’s a bar & billiards, and it does a good job meeting that expectation. Their drinks are good as long as you’re not coming here expecting a fruity cocktail. order a beer or a vodka soda, shoot some pool, and call it a night. I wouldn’t come here by choice, but if you have cabin fever in the dead of winter and want to socialize without actually being seen by the general public, this is a good option. A great spot to show up in a hoodie, leggings, boots(we’re all guilty, ladies) and have some super cheap drinks with friends. Basically what I’m saying is I’ve been here twice and have no plans on coming back, but if someone wanted to meet here for drinks I wouldn’t have an issue with it.

It’s a bar and billiards that doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is. They have solid drinks at standard prices, they have themed nights(karaōke etc,). I’ve been here a handful of times, meeting up with friends that live in the area to catch up and I’ve had a decent time. You can tell this place is full of locals & regulars but they weren’t unwelcoming by any means. Go drink a pitcher of beer, shoot some pool and catch up with an old friend. If I visit once a year that’s frequent. Location is random, it’s literally the cross road of the North Haven shopping plazas and the industrial zone — but relatively convenient to get too.

Very nice spot to play pool and have a drink. Didn’t try any of the food this trip, but will definitely return for day drinking and fun. Nice little spot!

TCB is undergoing a little bit of transformation. As always, it’s a great place for a couple of beers and a rack or two of pool. In addition to that though it’s also a great place for a couple of games of darts. The Beer selection is pretty much standard for a dart/pool bar: Bud, Bud Lite, Sam, Sam Seasonal. In addition to that TCB also carried Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA in bottles or cans. Jay and Shannon are pretty knowledgeable about beer too.

Great place to hang out, shoot some pool, play darts… Beers and drinks are cheap and the have nightly drink and shot specials.(Usually dollar SoCo shots or something of the sort) They have good happy hours and fun karaōke nights that draw in big crowds. All in all a really great place to escape the typical bar scene.

I am privileged to be the first to add this establishment to Unilocal.I can think of bars that are cooler, bars that have a better beer selection, bars that are more charming, bars that have better food… But as far as a good place where you can hang out with your friends, knock back a few beers and play some pool, and not get ripped off in the process… this place is perfect for me. It’s like that comfortable pair of sweats that you want to wear when you’re relaxing at home. They have six beers on tap. Two of them are the often obligatory Bud & Miller Lite, but on this occasion, they also had Guinness, Blue Moon, Sam Oktoberfest and a delicious Red Hook Late Harvest on tap. They also have a variety of other bottled beers. The bartender was a nice guy, and took good care of us. We went on a Sunday, and what a deal you get on Sunday, folks. You can get Bud or Miller Lite on tap for just $ 2 a glass(I think the Late Harvest might have been $ 4 a glass, but still not a bad deal and well worth it). The pool is half price, and if memory serves, I think they have ten tables. And, umm… oh yeah, free food. Lots of it. On this occasion, they had a crapload of delicious Buffalo Wings, Ziti and some delicious stromboli style roll-ups. My wife and I definitely got our fill. I believe my wife and I polished off around 7 or 8 beers, played 2 hours of pool with our friends, watched the Jets game and polished off a few plates of grub, all for around 30 bucks(before the tip). You can’t beat that with a stick. So Sunday is a great day to go… but they also have other happy hour deals. One more nice little touch I have to mention… they have one of those traditional popcorn makers where you are welcome to serve yourself a nice basket of fresh popcorn, and you can top it off with Lowry’s Season Salt. That stuff is addicting, and goes very well with the beer. And you’ll particularly dig this place if you’re a fan of the King. TCB standing for, of course, Taking Care of Business, the name Elvis bestowed upon his band. The place is festooned with Elvis memorabilia on the walls. And if I can say so myself, I think this is a place Elvis himself would have enjoyed. It’s a place I thoroughly enjoy, although unlike the Big E, I don’t plan on dying on the crapper… at least not here, anyway. Any negatives? Well, the only negative I can come up with was I saw a family bring their young daughter in(now THAT’s classy). But you can hardly hold that against the establishment. The fact is I really enjoyed my game day over there, and I plan on going there on many more Sundays in the future.
