One of our favorite casual«go-to» places when we don’t want to cook but want some decent italian food at good prices. Three of us went for dinner and one in our party had a desire for penne a la vodka(not on menu) but the waitress and cook was very accommodating and made it for him. I requested the broccoli rabe and sausage appetizer be made into an entrée, serving over pasta. No problem. Food is always fresh and prices are always reasonable.

Went here and ordered a chicken parmigiana grinder. Quality of the chicken was your standard low budget pizza restaurant type of chicken/patty. Sauce was good. The grinder was overall decent. However for some reason is smelled like tuna fish. Don’t ask me why. I enjoyed it though. I found it funny that a small Italian deli/pizza restaurant wouldn’t have high quality ingredients though. They don’t even cook their own roast beef. I asked the woman at the counter if she cooked the roast beef there. She looked at me like I was crazy then proceeded to give me an attitude for the rest of the wait. Oh well. This was a one stop for me.

Food was awful. Would not eat there if it was free. Did not eat most of our food and did not take the leftovers.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant since my childhood everyweek and it has always been my absolute favorite Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, I can no longer say that about this establishment. In the past couple months Antonio’s has been spiralling down hill extremely fast and it breaks my heart to say it. The main reason I fell in love with this restaurant was because of their amazing sauce! I could drink it just by itself and could be extremely satisfied. The sauce lately is definitely a different recipe and has no flavor at all. My favorite dish was their eggplant rollitini and the last time I ordered it the center was cold, it was throw sloppily in a take out container and lacked any flavor at all. My boyfriend always orders the chicken francese and has always enjoyed it. But unfortunaley, the last time it was ordered it was just swimming in a pool of melted butter with no other flavors. We went back twice after this experience to give them another chance but its been worse. On a Saturday afternoon they didn’t even have lasagna and meat ravioli, two of there best dishes. Over the past few months I have also noticed the prices increase. If the food was up to par I would not have an issue with paying more, but that is not the case. The only item on the menu that has been consistent is their pasta fagioli. The salad has even become half the size as it used to be and the pasta has been extremely over cooked and mushy. I really do feel awful about writing this review but I have to be honest and I know I am not the only unhappy customer. I hope that Antonio’s can get through this and start producing the food I know and love, I would not want to see them out of business. Please Antonio’s get back on your game! The neighborhood will not be the same without you!

If you are in this area of North Haven, you HAVE to go! This place is amazing, and when I was growing up I lived not even a mile away. Their food is always consistant, their pizza is amazing and their portions are big for the price you pay. The price is very good for the amount of food you recieve, and the best part is going in and sitting down to eat. The waitresses are friendly and service is never ever bad. The owner has been there since I was a kid and could remember, and he always says hello. I reccommend this place to anybody that wants nice, Italian food. Also like Derek S. said their Spinach Bread is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Love this place, it will be a staple of my childhood until I can share it with my children some day.

This is a very good Pizzeria. They have lot more than Pizza. The pizzas are very well made and tasty. Inspite of being in a very remote place, easy to miss, this place always has good business due to it’s quality food. People who visit this place will definitely revisit and spread a word of mouth. I work in the same area and I visit this place many times for lunch. I also visit with my family whenever we feel like eating good pizza. This restaurant used to be in a small place. They have moved to a bigger place since more than 6 months and the new place looks spacious and clean.

My favorite chicken parm in the area! You get two thin cutlets which are fried to perfection topped with sauce and cheese. Sandwiches and pizzas are pretty good too. The food here is a good value.

This place has really great italian food and the BEST spinach bread I have ever eaten. You can order a spinach bread ahead of time to have with dinner(recommended) or simply pick it up to have with at home. Waitstaff is friendly and service is punctual. The location is in the middle of nowhere in North Haven. Honestly, I think most people find it after getting lost, and I hope that it doesn’t lose business because of it. Anyone who finds this gem will not be disappointed.

The other reviewers are on the mark with this being a hidden gem. The food is really good. My sister says they make the best penne ala vodka, it’s not on the menu but if you ask for it they’ll make it. other than that, the other italian dishes, as well as their pizzas, are very good.

Tucked away in a small strip plaza at the corner of upper State St. and Hartford Turnpike this place is a true hidden gem! Offering much more than pizza(it’s good) the menu offers a full range of pastas, chicken. meats, seafood and nightly specials. Freshly prepared by the chef owner, the portions are ample, moderately priced and served by a friendly competent waitress. I had clams with red sauce, with a full dozen fresh clams over lingunini in a just right seasoned sauce. It came with a wonderfully simple garden salad with a home made vinaigrette. My wife had chicken with spinach, two big cutlets over spinach sauteed in olive oil and garlic that was expertly prepared. I can’t wait to go again! It’s off the beaten track but worth the trip.
