Long standing customer who comes from NYC and always makes time to have dinner. Been coming here since it was located on main beach. We had our favorite meal spicy shrimp fra diavolo! It’s classic home made Italian and the team who works here are very nice. The house red wine just hits the spot and we never seem to have room for dessert. Fresh baked bread is a wonderful touch and something they’ve always done. Try the lobster ravioli special as it’s a lovely meal too — we didn’t have it last night but we will on the next trip.

Not sure why the reviews for this spot are so bad– the food is great, huge portions, good atmosphere.

Yuk! We dine out a lot in the Seacoast and tried Ronaldo’s for the first time. I have never written a negative review, but all I can say is a big long hair in our salad. Disgusting.

This was our first trip back to Ronaldo’s in about 1 year. Have generally enjoyed the food and had a good experience but if tonight was any indication, this place will be the next spot up for rent in this strip mall. Were seated immediately and were served water right away. Waited for the waitress to reappear to take drink orders and waited… and waited… and waited… and waited. Finally, when she came back she was all set for drink orders and meal order as well. So much for a relaxing evening meal. The bread was outstanding, dipping oil was plain and uneventful. Waited quite a while for drinks to appear and once they did the Margarita was ok, nothing noteworthy, just ok. Salads consisted of iceberg lettuce, 2 slices cucumber, 2 tough little tomatoes and some onion. Wow, can they make it any more bland than that! Blue Cheese dressing tasted like Hellman’s with a few chunks of BC mixed in so they can call it BC dressing. The meals were ok, but again nothing noteworthy and fairly bland in taste. Interestingly, the Chicken Parm arrived first, plated with a nice generous side of pasta. Then, our waitress with her less than charming personality arrived to plunk down a big ol pan of chicken picatta, only to disappear again. When she did come back I asked for a plate and she tepidly replied«you really don’t want to eat it out of the pan»…H’mmmm, no I just thought tonight I would use a plate instead of a trough! Wow, this dame hasn’t got a clue. Meals finished or as best we could given the gargantuan portions(I would really prefer quality over quantity, but guess that isn’t an option here), our smile deprived waitress arrived to clear the plates. And clear them she did, scraping and stacking them at the end of the table and once again heading off in another direction. Nothing warms me up for a delicious desert better than looking at a stack of dirty plates and silverware stacked at the end of the table. Ok, so we passed on desert, took the check and headed home. Were it not for the good looking hunk in the kitchen, the night would have been a total loss. At least the eye candy was fun to look at, but hey I can get that on the web without suffering thru a bland and tasteless meal.

Excellent seafood fettuccine! The fresh bread was amazing, and the Bridlewood Pinot Noir delicious!

Terrible. When this place had a tiny little spot on route one in Hampton they were absolutely fabulous and I always left happy. However my husband and I just finished a meal there and the best things we can think to say about the dinner was that the bread and water was delicious… so if you are a criminal fresh out of the clink, I highly recommend you go here for some bread and water. The waitresses had the personalities of prison guards so that that too is equally fitting to the cuisine. They seemed like they were being held captive. My husband started with the calamari which was fried to a crisp and unpalatable and I had two little hockey pucks that they called crabcakes drenched in balsamic vinegar. Atrocious. We both had the seafood Alfredo and it would have been half decent if the pasta had been cooked all the way. my last bite included a piece of lobster that I was unable to chew through and had to pull it out of my mouth and put it back on my plate for fear it would choke me to death. For the price we paid, I’d say we got robbed. So do yourself a favor and maybe consider one of the other fine restaurants along route one before stopping in here.

Being local we have been told to stop in here many times… Being very picky about food especially Italian I was hesitant. The food is average well maybe a little below average. Portions were extremely large I wouldn’t say that’s a good thing but that’s just me. There was not much flavor to any of the dishes. Very bland… Not impressed but I didn’t expect to be…

Had a great annual anniversary dinner at Ronaldo’s. It’s our go-to place. The waitress was terrific and the portions were big enough to feed a small town. We started with their homemade huge mozzarella sticks, fresh warm bread and large garden salads. I was full before my entrée even arrived! I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli & chicken. My wife had the North End Chicken. Insane portions. It’s Tuesday and still eating leftovers. There’s nothing left to say other than the fact that this is our favorite Italian restaurant on the seacoast.

BEAWARE: Booked a reservation for a party of 6 people and when we got there the service was absolutely terrible!!! The worse I’ve ever experienced. Unknown to me at the time of booking the reservation they have a policy of charging an automatic 18% gratuity for parties over 4 people. Won’t be going back any time soon.

After 2 years I’d give it another shot, Bad idea, I have no idea who’s cooking or learned how to cook ‘authentic’ Italian food but 1) Chicken Piccata should NOT be deep fried! it should be pan fried with LEMON! 2) Chicken Marsala should not have any red sauce in it. and for $ 25.00 per plate, never again(and I wont even comment about the suck service)

The one star is most generous. We waited an inordinate amount of time after being seated to finally see the waitress. I now wish she never showed at all. We looked at the menu and thought, with these high prices, it must be good. Wrong. My wife ordered the Chicken Parm and I ordered the lasagna. Each of us got through one bite of the parm. It was deep fried, almost burnt brown and still the chicken was raw and gray on the inside. It was honestly the worst. We sent it back. Never going back

I have enjoyed Ronaldo’s since they started out in Hampton. Always felt it was the place to get a great and bountiful Italian meal. As it happened I unexpectedly wound up there tonight and was excited as it had been years since I visited and I had been having a hankering. All I want to ask know now is What the Hell Happened? New ownership? New chefs? What? HORRIBLE food, slow service and more. The bread was the best part of the meal… isn’t that sad? Ordered the Italian chicken cordon bleu… chix breast stuffed with proscuitto and cheese, sliced and served over pasta with a tomato, basil cream sauce. Sounded yummy. Presentation was fine although the chicken was breaded and fried which I had not expected. My first bite was offensive… chicken was grizzly and tough… but thought I had perhaps just got a bad piece… three more trys found no relief. Chicken breast, which had been split to be stuffed, was NOT cooked and grizzly. I sent it back and the waitress gave an apology and asked what else I wanted. I ordered the calamari fra diavolo which I had previously been considering… which while not offensive, was equally disappointing. My dining partner who LOVES fettucine alfredo ordered what they touted as their famous three cheese alfredo. My taste of it revealed a very bland, almost tasteless sauce which surely did not contain three different cheeses. So disappointed… doubt I will ever return. Although I was pleasant but obviously disappointed with both my dishes, other than a few weak apologies from the waitress, who took her time waiting on us despite the restaurant not being full, I was not offered any remedy to make me feel different about the dining experience. I would have settled for a free glass of wine! Sorry to say I will NOT be returning which truly saddens me. A Seacoast mainstay has sunk into a whole different realm.

Rubber chicken! If you like rubber, then order the chicken marsala($ 24) or the chicken parm. Rubber with a little grizzel is not my idea of a good meal. Ate there Saturday night Aug. 8th and will not go back.

The food is fantastic. Portions are enormous on certain orders like the Fettucinne Alfredo. Which is a personal favorite of mine. The staff is wonderful and the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the location. A small«shoebox» like feel with no windows. Only negative thing I can say.

Came here last night for dinner, a little expensive but delicious, the food also really took awhile for us to get, but overall it’s a pretty good restaurant

Have not been in a long time because the weekend service is awful, they cater to the take out not the customer in the restaurant. Decided to stop in mid week and give it a try, NOTGOOD. The eggplant parm was over cooked like from a microwave the edges were dried out and tough and drowned in sauce to cover up the poor quality. Served over the penne very unappetizing. Also very expensive for pasta. The restaurant also needs a makeover the ugly, dirty, dusty red drapes and dirty carpet need to be replaced. With all the Italian restaurants out there We will not be back!

Tried to be open to changes. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and my husband had the Trio Parmesan. Not sure what has happened to the sauce but it was plain and acidic. No flavor and the pasta was under cooked. The serving size was fine –had a lot leftover and we didn’t want to take it home. :(No plans to go back.

Had dinner at Ronaldos a few nights ago with a friend. Ordered the special which was suppose to be canneloni with vodka basil cream sauce and lobster. Instead it was ravioli with lobster on top that was still frozen! First time in my life I have not touched my lobster! Caesar salad was a 7.99 upcharge and the wedding soup was horribly bland. We did not pay for the entrée but it still cost us 30. a piece because they charged us for the soup and salad and 2 drinks each. Left there starving!

Literally the worst Italian restaurant I’ve ever been too — I really wanted to like it, it’s cute, cozy, not a chain… but they just kept screwing up! Two pluses: good wine pour & good bread. My husband’s tortellini was swimming in oil, I asked for meatless sauce and I got meat in it, I asked for ziti & I got linguini, I asked for pinot grigio & I got Moscato, my husband’s salad never came(and they charged him for it anyways). I only ate about ¼ of my meal, asked to have the rest bagged up and the waitress told me she accidentally threw it away. She did have the cook make another one, but when I went to have it the next day there was no chicken in the Chicken Cacciatore! We were also given the completely wrong bill — it was endless what this waitress did wrong — but the worst was when she was looking over our bill and a big line of snot fell out of her nose… So maybe she was sick and that’s why she couldn’t seem to make it work… ummmmm no, just don’t come to work if you’re sick and are serving people food!

I had dinner at Ronaldo’s on an early Saturday evening. Situated in a strip plaza(Philbrick’s Fresh Market), this local Italian restaurant has been on my list to try for quite a while. I got here just after the 4PM opening time and I was seated at a small table next to a big curtained window. The place was already quite busy when I arrived here. The dimly lit dining room is cozy and clean, which has booths and tables and a bar in the back section. There are lighted candle holders at each table, as was the wine list. Onto the food! The waitress recited the specials as I was deciding on what to order. I quickly ordered the special appetizer, Spinach & Artichoke Dip($ 8.95) — a creamy spinach & artichoke dip served in a round casserole dish topped with seasoned Ritz cracker crumbs. and lots of warm crisp house chips. The dip was not too rich in flavor, similar to a thick alfredo sauce, but some of the artichokes were not heated through and cold. After I placed my dinner order, I was given a fresh baked loaf of bread with a bowl for olive oil & parmesan cheese(already at table) for dipping. The hot crusty soft bread loaf was very good. I also chose the Minestrone Soup with Cheese Tortelloni(included with my entrée), served in a glass bowl which had a mix of vegetables and soft tortelloni in a semi spicy tomato broth, though not piping hot. For dinner, the Fettuccini With Meat Sauce($ 9.95) was a generous portion of soft thin flat noodles, topped with a thick tomato meat sauce(bits of fine ground beef) & parsley sprinkles, which was very filling to eat and the flavor was good, though not piping hot. I had much of this entrée boxed to go so I could order dessert. For dessert, the Tiramisu($ 6.95) was good and very sweet, which had layers of lady fingers, light cream, and powdered cocoa, topped with chocolate drizzle & whipped cream & cherry and additional dabs of whipped cream and powdered cocoa on the plate. The lady fingers inside this dessert were plain and not soaked in espresso, as I have enjoyed in other tiramisu desserts(ie Villaggio in Manchester makes the best tiramisu in NH). Overall, I had a good Italian dinner solo at Ronaldo’s with the dinner check total of $ 27.69 with tax & before tip. Some of the food such as the dip appetizer, soup, and pasta dish tasted just fine, but could’ve been served hotter instead of between warm and hot, though not lukewarm. The service here was attentive with frequent refills on the house ice water and the food was served in timely order in the busy dining room. As I was leaving, there was a short wait at the door for a table. Got here in time!
