This place is the hidden gem of deals… especially if you’re a Boston Sports Fan. They have a whole section devoted just to Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins gear. It’s overwhelming! And it’s so cheap! I bought a pair of Patriots sandals for $ 8(granted it is September. but it’s also football season). As far as the rest of the sports apparel it’s all extremely reasonable; shirts $ 5-$ 10, Hoodies for about $ 20, shorts, socks, etc. you really can’t go wrong. They also have a large selection of mens jeans, socks, underwear, and shoes. And the staff is typical clothing store friendly.

I’m one of those guys that’s too big for most the mall men stores, yet too small for a big and tall shop. I would spend hours going from one store to next and still not find what I wanted/needed. Vanity fair is perfect for me. I spent just over an hour there and was able to buy everything I needed for the summer and our upcoming Disney vacation. Plus with our rewards membership I was able to get another 20% off. All in, it cost me $ 137. 4 pairs of shorts, 6 button up shirts, an 6 new undershirts. Great deal and good quality clothes.

I had come in here to purchase a bra on a suggestion from a friend. They do have a good selection in the underwear department, and racks of discounted underwear as well. However, as always, the discounted stuff wasn’t my size or didn’t fit me right. Boo. But still I purchased two Tommy Hilfiger bras at $ 15 a piece. Brand names don’t impress me much, but having said that, I know that’s a good price for them. In fact, I honestly didn’t know they were Tommy until the cashier said something. I took a quick jaunt around the rest of the store, which has Lee jeans(and wrangler if I remember correctly). I was highly unimpressed with the shoe selection, and for some reason I don’t remember looking at the women’s jeans. I think I couldn’t find them, so I really can’t tell you if the prices in the rest of the store were good. All in all, I would definitely come back here underwear shopping.

This is a no-frills shopping experience, but one you shouldn’t pass up. I’ve been losing weight and don’t want to put significant amounts of money into clothes right now as I am still losing. On a recent visit I was able to buy 7 pairs of pants, 2 pairs of shorts and 3 shirts for $ 142. Crazy, no? I’ve bought Lee jeans and pants before and they wear well. You will find other brands here as well — Nautica, Wrangler, Warner, Olga and Vanity Fair. They have a nice selection of activewear and a lot of Team apparel at reasonable prices. There is also an Easy Spirit, Dress Barn and Van Heusen in the same building. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

As a kid, my mom would bring us to all the great shopping outlets, discount and consignment stores that dotted the Southcoast. Most of these fantastic treasure troves of steals and deals have, sadly, closed their doors, one by one: the outlets all fell victim to a stalled economy, tourist buses that stopped coming, and a region whose financial situation has been in steady decline for years. Fortunately, one last, great outlet remains open in the area. The VF Outlet has always ranked high on my short list of places where sartorial splendor and budgetary bliss converge. The outlet’s flagship store is also its namesake, and the ideal place to get started on your journey: Vanity Fair. When most folks hear the Vanity Fair name, they think of a perhaps bygone brand that offers bras, panties, and nightgowns that skew toward the frumpy side. Yes, some of that stuff is sold here. But the majority of this sprawling store features clothing for juniors, misses and plus sizes that are decidedly classic and in the case of the juniors clothing, right on trend. In fact, I’ve even broken my own self-imposed rule from time to time and shopped for my thirty-something self in the VF juniors section. Don’t laugh; one of my most compliment-garnering skirts this season – an adorable black accordion pleated mini – came from the VF juniors department. It was less than $ 20 and is now one of my cutest suit separates.(Who’s laughing now?) The VF store also offers designer shoes, swimwear for all shapes and sizes, of-the-moment accessories, and New England sports team apparel that will set you back just a few dollars. When I went to the Dominican Republic last year, I brought a handful of Red Sox t-shirts from the VF Outlet to give as gifts to the resort workers who I knew we’d befriend. The excitement on the staff’s faces — getting a shirt from the States emblazoned with the logo of Big Papi’s baseball team! — was absolutely priceless. Once you’ve shopped your way through VF, head on to some of the other must-see stores here, including Easy Spirit(again: don’t judge a brand by its name or any misconceived notions of its modern-day relevance, this store is chock full of supremely beautiful and comfortable shoes and boots), Bass and Izod. There’s also a Samsonite store, a bookstore and some other assorted shops that bear a quick peek. I recommend setting aside at least two hours to browse the entire place. Gone is the time when the region was peppered with ephemeral, unmarked bastions of designer amazement, bursting with scores — most missing their original labels — that had«fallen off a truck.»(God how I miss that.) Lacking any more opportunity to commit a total fashion hijacking, head over to the VF Outlet for the closest we can get to re-living those heady glory days.

This outlet is not easy on the eyes but there were lots of bargains IMHO. Found a large selection of jeans priced under $ 7.00 and picked up some Wranglers from my small boys for $ 1.47 each! There were also lots of other odds and ends to sort through — Red Sox shirts for about $ 2.00. You have to come with some time on your hands and not be in a rush because there is so much inventory that you will have to look through it, but I guarantee that if you go with time and an open mind you will leave with at least one stellar priced item.

It was a little odd stepping into the Vf Factory Outlet. I wasn’t quiet sure what to expect from the large building outside, but indoors it had a warehouse-feel to it. As a first time shopper I felt as though I was in a maze. There really isn’t one main corridor when you step into the building, instead you’re already in a store and have to figure out how to navigate to the next. I thought the hallways were a bit spooky, with lots of «employees only» signs along the walls. I felt like I was in the wrong area half the time, but people would wave me along and into a store. Nothing too trendy if you’re under the age of 30, although the Levi outlet is nice for jeans and Vanity Fair has plenty of underwear things. The rest of the stores tend to be for the older crowd… Dress Barn, Van Heusen, Easy Spirit, Samsonite… nothing that really made my eyes sparkle with outlet store delight. If you’re bringing along a guy you can shuffle them off to the Black & Decker Outlet. The whole mall is worth a try if you’re looking for something pretty cheap, but I was unimpressed with some of the clothing prices. One cute shirt I picked up in Vanity Fair was still $ 18.99, I was expecting it to be under $ 10.
