Came here for dinner after looking for local places nearby our Airbnb. Love that it was within a short walking distance! As we arrived(we were a group of 4) a nice lady on her way out kindly held open the door for us– a good start to a great night! The restaurant had a nice local, friendly, and accommodating atmosphere as we were immediately seated by a very kind waitress. The place was pretty small and had an impressive bar that only had a couple friendly looking locals(one of kindly them pulled out a chair for my mother). I had a cheeseburger with fries, and the rest of my party had the sirloin steak with green beans and salad, chicken tenders(from the kids menu) and the duck wings with a baked potato. We all had club sodas and our waitress was constantly refilling them, as well as giving us a basket of bread while we waited for our food, which was also offered to be refilled. ALLOFTHEFOODWASAMAZING, with the best chicken tenders and most amazing, tender duck we’ve ever had. The fries were very good, and all of the servings were very large and fair priced. We were amazed at both the high quality food and service from this local bar, and have no complaints whatsoever. Another impressive aspect of the place was their menu, which was extremely diverse and seemed to cater to a wide variety of customers, from kids to foreigners. Our experience was incredible on all fronts and we are pretty sure we want to come back again tomorrow! GOHOOLIGANS!!!

After a long hike, we stopped here for lunch, and it hit the spot. Not the best food but we left happy and full. The staff was very nice and accommodating, which was a plus.

I have never left a review online before in any negative fashion… However this place is my exception. I should state that I will take blame for not asking every question known to man about my order but if you have eaten out you have an idea on how things work… Or so I thought! Our waitress was fine. The food was not. I like my burger medium and I got what j asked for. My wife likes hers well done and the middle was not even medium! Good tasting burger but badly undercooked. STILLNOTTHEREASONFORMYNEGATIVEREVIEW! We ordered kids pizzas for the kids and this is where things went wrong. I asked my waitress who confirmed this, but they serve those horrendous personal size Totino’s pizzas like you get at the grocery store except instead of paying $.99 full retail you get to pay almost $ 6.00 for that delicacy! Adding to my annoyance is the fact that a drink is not included at that price. I have 5 kids, one of which was little and doesn’t eat her own meal, so that added up quickly. I was embarrassed about the whole experience which was not helped by the management/owner arguing whether or not to «help me out with the bill» less than 5 feet from me. I felt bad for the waitress… It wasn’t her fault. All in all, $ 71 for 2 burgers, 3 kids Totino’s pizzas, a kids quesadilla(which was less than Totino’s pizza actually… And good), 2 iced teas, 5 kids drinks and a chips and salsa appetizer… I should have walked around the corner to Horsefeathers and apologized for not eating at their place. Lesson learned!

We had the most tummy pleasing meal after a long day of hiking. Stopped in here for the first time because we were staying at the Cranmore Inn which is a short walk away. The waitress was incredibly friendly and went above beyond by taking the time to write down some great hiking spots. We had the Fettuccini Alfredo and chicken pot pie both of which were terrific. But the French onion soup was what really blew is away.

We made 2 more trips to Hooligans this past week, and we’re definitely devotees! I was lucky enough to be there for the beef stew special — amazing! It was the perfect lunch for a cold day. They were extremely generous with the beef, and it was absolutely delicious. On our next trip I tried the onion soup and loved that too! Nice, thick toasted bread(croûton) and perfect amount of melted cheese. And the soup was full of onions. Our servers were so friendly and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. We’ll be back on our next trip in February!

I’ve been visiting North Conway off and on for 30 years, and yet somehow, I missed this little gem of a restaurant until this year. From the outside, it’s quite unassuming, so much so that it might be mistaken for a residence; perhaps that is why I’ve been missing it. I understand that it is a favorite of the locals and tourists alike. The meals are perfectly prepared and delicious, in particular, the surf and turf was a hit with us. The staff is friendly and helpful and seem to really enjoy their work. The number of tables in the dining room was limited enough so that we could easily move around, but the acoustics allow a rather noisy dining experience. That didn’t bother us, as we were on a family vacation; it might not be the first choice for a couple looking for a romantic night out. I may have missed dining here for almost three decades, but I’m sure I’ll make that up in the next one.

We stopped here for lunch during a short vacation in the Conway area. Pretty disappointing. We ordered drinks and nachos to start and were surprised to be told the drinks came with one free refill. Considering it’s usually standard at pub like restaurants to get free refills on soda that seemed odd. We were very surprised when the nachos arrived and were literally just tortilla chips and cheese with salsa and jalapeños on the side. For almost $ 10 we assumed it would come with the standard nacho ingredients, not to mention I’ve never been served just chips and cheese as an appetizer at a restaurant. I ordered the special sweet sausage sub and my husband got the pulled pork, both with fries. Neither meal was anything special and mine especially was pricey for a single sausage and some peppers. The fries were very dry and tasteless. The best part of the experience was the friendly waitress but given the poor food we won’t be back.

Hooligans has excellent food, the waitress was extremely friendly and made good suggestions, the prices were very reasonable– overall, a great find. The baby back rib appetizer was hearty enough for lunch, as was the scallop roll– super delicious! The only thing preventing 5 stars is that the ambience is nothing special, and the piped in music is pop and not a great fit with a good meal.

We did take out at Hooligans while staying in North Conway for a week. The chili cheeseburger was pretty good, but the fries were just OK. The crab cake appetizer was OK. The chipotle mayonnaise for the crab cakes was good. The person who took my take out was very nice, and the food was done quickly. Everything we ordered was in the bag and as expected. I would do take out at Hooligans again.

What a great choice off the beaten path(by about a half a block) in North Conway! The drinks are great, and it looks like more of a drinking establishment, but the food! Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Baked halibut with Dijon and panko crumbs on top. So good. Stop by, you won’t regret it.

Downtown No Conway is a fest of tourist traps and marginal food — in general, eat at your own risk! Fortunately, we were steered towards Hooligans by a friend and despite the out-of-date appearance of the out and insides, the food is very good and the wait staff were friendly and helpful. Prices are also reasonable for a tourist area.

Food is great. Service is great. Get there early — it’s tiny. Love that it’s walking distance to town. Great take out too. Local favorite.

Consistently great food and service. We come back here every time we come to North Conway and are never disappointed. The specials are always interesting and you cannot go wrong with the regular menu. The bartender Joann is extremely attentive and friendly! Would highly recommend.

Had a decent little lunch here today. He got the mixed grill, I got the wedge salad. We started with the chicken Alfredo flatbread pizza app and that was the star of the meal although everything else was decent. Service was friendly and I’d say this is a decent choice for some casual comfort food.

I wanted to give Hooligans a try after seeing all the yummy pictures on Unilocal.I’ve driven by many times but somehow seemed to overlook the restaurant. The location is great, just off the main road in North Conway so its very easy access. The inside was cute with the dinging room to the right and a bar to the left. It was very cozy feeling without seeming too cramped. I ordered take out and the lady working was very lively and friendly. The order didn’t take long and it was nice and hot. The fish and chips were great, very good quality fish it tasted fresh for sure. The fries were hand cut and tasted like something your mom would make(not like the frozen stuff some places put out). Overall the food was great, the prices could have been a littleeeee cheaper but other then that I really enjoyed the food.

Decent but nothing special American style food in North Conway. A plus for having Blue Moon on tap but the food itself was average at best. We couldn’t identify the steak tip marinade but agreed it wasn’t good. The Cubano was oversized but was really a pulled pork BBQ sandwich with pickles. Check this place out if you’re looking for beer and pub food, but don’t expect much.
