Saldoni’s came to my home and put on a lobster clambake and a barbeque dinner for about 20 on August 11, 2013. The lobster and clambake was cooked right on the spot and was fabulous! The barbeque was brought in and was cooked perfectly. The rubs and marinades they used were fantastic.
Chris Saldoni, brother of the owner, was the cook, server and cleaner. He was a perfect host.
I can’t say enough about this experience. My guests were very very happy and so were my husband and I! We will be booking again for next year!

Wow! I am so glad I didn’t read the reviews for Saldoni’s before I contacted them because I would have missed out on a wonderful experience.
My experience with Saldoni’s was exemplary. I ordered a New England Lobster Bake for 20 people in honor of my father’s 90^th birthday. Saldoni’s was open to customizing the menu to meet my father’s somewhat finicky food preferences. Also, when my guest list got a little smaller, we were able to add a few things to the menu in lieu of the full dinners we did not need. I highly recommend the chicken skewers and roasted vegetables which we added to the menu. The crew cooked both on our grill so they were fresh and hot. The marinades were awesome. Lobsters and steamers were excellent but not quite as easy to hand-​crack as they were made out to be (we could have used some lobster crackers after all). Fruit salad was sweet and fresh and rolls were also fresh. I also ordered a green salad which was very crisp and there were two dressings available as promised. They brought little butter warmers for my tables and cute pots for the shells. I now see that we were supposed to get iced tea and we didn’t. I guess if I did not miss it, we did not need it. There was plenty of food. We bagged the leftovers which, of course, I will continue to enjoy. (The left-​over potatoes will make great homefries!)
Our crew, Chris (co-​owner) and Max were extremely pleasant, concerned and eager to please. They called to let me know that they were on the way and called again when they were 5 minutes away so that I would not worry. They were prompt, confident and efficient and put out a nice buffet. They even brought my father the «double lobster special» in honor of his birthday. They made clean-​up a breeze – in fact they kept chasing me away and telling me to just sit and enjoy!
I paid for the dinner by credit card and I was told upfront that I would be expected to pay the gratuity on the original amount for the dinners, not the discounted amount (Living Social) that I actually paid. When we finalized plans, I was told the exact amount I would be expected to pay (18% plus tax) in cash at the dinner. I was so pleased that I made sure we added extra.
I think that Saldani’s is a work in progress at this time. They could do a little better on their serving skills (I am not sure that all of my guests got everything – I know that I never got any clams but I didn’t ask for or miss them.) I had to ask several times for a contract and what I finally got was a little rough. But these are small matters. All in all, we had an excellent experience and I would use them again as would some of my guests. They are trying hard to make some changes to their business. I say – give them a try. I think you will be pleased.
