Possibly the worst sonic around. No cars and yet still somehow took over 30 minutes to receive our order. The workers apparently hate life because their attitudes are appalling. Have been here twice and no improvement. Definitely would not recommend. Go to the one on university instead.

I really like Sonic, I do. I don’t like incorrect orders and burnt pretzel dogs COVERED in mustard. I like mustard, but there should not be more mustard than dog and bun combined, and if there is, it should at least be on the dog, not all over the side of the cardboard hotdog holder. I feel like an Ocean Water is one of their«specialties», and if they are going to brag about all of their drink combinations, they should train their staff on how to make them correctly. I won’t be back. My carhop was super friendly, so she gets 2 stars.

On 4 July, 2014, I received horrible service at this Sonic Drive-In, around 10:30pm. We arrived to see maybe 5 other cars in the drive-thru or the stalls. Pull into a stall, decide our order, and then press the call button. Then we sit. And sit. And sit some more. 5 minutes pass before I give up and decide to try the drive-thru. There’s one car at the window of the drive-thru, so we figure it’s still open. We sit in front of the menu, where you would normally order, for at least two minutes. No acknowledgement at all that they even know we’re there. My fiancé really wants Sonic(for some reason) so we go back around to another stall. When we pull it, the girls in the stall next to us are leaving. They have their windows down so we can hear how loudly they’re vocalizing that they’ve been sitting for close to ten minutes with no acknowledgement. This isn’t looking good. Suddenly, I hear a voice. Distant, but I figure the speaker is broken. I lean out the window and start ordering. «We can’t hear you,» someone says. No polite comment, just something so blunt. I speak louder. «We still can’t hear you. I’m coming out.» Then a man comes skating out and actually does a twirl before stopping by… the stall next to us, where the girls had been. Apparently it had been THEIR speaker that was finally answered. I start talking to the carhop about our issues, and then OUR speaker finally answers. «We’re really busy» is all the cashier says. 5 other cars in your parking lot at 10:30pm on a Friday night doesn’t smack of busy, but okay. We finally get our order taken, with a pause of about 30 seconds halfway through for the cashier to restart our order after he got the simple 4 item request wrong. At least the order(when we finally got it all correct) came out relatively quickly. Now, I know it was a holiday and no one wanted to be there(I’d worked myself, and understand wanting to be home), but sometimes you just have to grin and bear it. They did none of that. $ 10 spent for totally subpar food an a horrible experience.

I hardly ever go to Sonics, but heard something about a pretzel dog for 1.99 and I was going down Rivers Ave to the Batteries and Bulb place next to it. I decided to scrap Batteries and Bulb and just get lunch. I went through the drive thru and thought someone would be handing me the food through a window like at the other fast food places. Instead there’s a sign that saids to stop and someone will bring it out. I didn’t have to wait long. I wasn’t prepared to have to tip anyone at a fast food drive-thru is why I chose not to pull up to their other curbside spots and eat there. Fortunately, I was able to scrounge up one last dollar out of my purse… anybody making an effort to be friendly and smile at their customers deserves something these days! The hot dog in a pretzel bun with mustard was delicious, much better than a regular bun. The fries weren’t as good as other fast food joints, but I still devoured them all. You can get the pretzel dog with cheese as the other choice. I’ll probably be back to get another one. Think I like the pretzel dog better than a regular hot dog now. Only downside is I prefer Nathan hotdogs, but for 1.99 you can’t be too picky?

Of all the many Sonics in the area this one has always been the best. I have never had to wait 10 minutes for my order to be taken at the drive thru(University) or been asked to repeat my order 10 times only to have it still made incorrect(St. James — and it was only a cherry limeade). My orders are always taken quickly and then provided to me accurately and efficiently. The staff at this location also seem to enjoy their job and are more courteous for that reason.

So I am a fan of Sonic but AVOID this Sonic at all costs. I stopped here on the way to a friends house because I figured they would be quick since it is on a major road so I went through the drive thru. Well I had to wait to order so the employees could finish their conversation(they had the speaker on) and I should have left at that point. After I ordered I waited 15 minutes for my order in the DRIVETHRU(no I am not exaggerating I timed it). Then they messed up my order but I didn’t even go back because I didn’t want to wait 15 more minutes for them to fix it. AVOIDTHISLOCATION!
