Bertucci’s

First time here, ordered the garlic knots/​bites to go and they were burned. If you can’t cook something this simple correctly, I have my doubts on everything else! Not a good first impression!

Kids loved this place, loved the dough they got to play with and food was great .and Especially loved the older gentleman «john» he sat with them and they learned from him. Iso impressed with him.

This place is bad getting worse. We come in on occasion and every time we come in, they have tweaked their menu (bad sign). This time, they are offering a three course meal. Choice of salad or soup, an entrée and a dessert. First on the food. I got the grilled chicken Marsala and it was AWFUL! I have made this dish before myself and know how it should be. The offering here was very thick and salty. Side of string beans and potatoes. Should be served with pasta, just saying… This place is good for pizza and Stromboli’s. Only problem is, we are in New Jersey and you can get good pizza or Stromboli’s on every street corner in every neighborhood in every town in New Jersey. On to the service, which is also horrible here. I don’t think they train their staff. I had to go to the host and ask if we had a server because we waited 15 minutes before anybody asked us for drinks. Back to the three-​course meal, I never received my first course [salad]. When I received my entrée I made mention of it and was asked if I wanted it with my meal. I opted to get it to go. When I got home, I found out it was just lettuce and cheese no dressing. We are officially done with This place. When you have an Italian chain restaurant in New Jersey, you have to bring your A game. Because there are so many great local pizza places that give a way better meal. This place is not worth it.

Pizza is always good. I really am rating this on the service though. Always very friendly and attentive.

I like to have dinner here prior to the movies in the next-​door Regal Cinema. The food is good as well as the service and the prices are reasonable. They also have a liquor license

Like it. Food is fresh and flavorfull. Ordered chicken wings, picata chicken, pizza, chicken scampi. Fully satisfied. Pizza portion is good. Unlike olive garden, you do not get unlimited sides. Wings quantity is less and felt expensive. But entrees quality and quantity I’d appropriate.

Everything was fine until We got our entrees. My gf looks up while eating and says «something is weird about this food.» Everything was downhill from here. It wasn’t even one particular dish. Nothing was fresh. Waitress was very nice though. Don’t even try their pizza or fettuccine alfredo.

I love this Bertucci’s location. I’ve been here a few times and there was even one time where I was here on a Friday night and then again the following night! I love the bread and olive oil they give first — so flavorful and the perfect thing to munch on while waiting. The food here is great — I always get the mozzarella fritters and the eggplant parm or pizza and they always taste amazing. The drinks here are good as well, but what I love the most (besides the food of course) is that the atmosphere feels perfectly cozy. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Service was great, and bread was good, but overall quality of pizza and appetizers were pretty sub-​par. Selection of craft beers was pretty poor too. Nothing I would particularly recommend here.

We sat down and first thing a plate of oil and some seasoning was put down, waited another ten minutes for bread. The bread did come out warm and fresh. Ordered the verde pizza, burnt piece of cardboard with some arugula on top. Tiny thin slices of mozzarella few and far in between. The spaghetti was extremely overcooked and the taste was ok. The wings, both buffalo and bbq had soggy skin with tons of sauce. The shirmp and lobster risotto was also very over cooked. The waitress was nice but training another waitress therefore making mistakes, not setting a good example for the trainee nor providing good service. Overall very poor experience comming someone who has worked in the service and restaurant industry for 7yrs

Was here yesterday ordered a large sausage pizza came out great, good spot to bring the kids after the movies

The food here is nothing to drive out of your way for but can hit the spot if looking for a chain Italian experience. I do feel like the food was better here years ago compared to now. The service was pleasant and the establishment was clean.

Alyssa was amazing ad was the food can’t wait to come back. The ultimate bertuccis was great hot and crisp the roasted veggies and bruschetta amazing the 0 I cat a fantastico.

a bit expensive but taste is good .once i ask for well done pizza but they overcooked. Margarita Pizza was just ok. spinach pizza was ok too. compare to price.

The bartender was very knowledgeable about the choice of wine we should have with our meal. I had the lasagna and it was awesome! !

We went for dinner here one night. We had the mussels in tomato sauce appetizer and it was great! The waitress came over right away and asked us what we wanted to drink and brought them out, even though my party was all coming in ones and twos at a time. My daughter had the crispy chicken with pasta and she loved it. The rest of us shared a couple of pizzas and they were pretty good. My kids also enjoyed the dessert. I have to take a star away for the manager, even though he stopped by to ask us how the food was, and he was giving almost every other table a free appetizer or dessert for the next time. We were not offered anything like that. Not sure what is the rationale behind that — either be discreet about offering free appetizers to other tables or offer it to everybody. Other than that, had a good experience.

I went apartment hunting today in North Jersey. As we were driving, we passed by this restaurant. I’ve eaten here before (3 or 4 times), and said to myself «I need their pizza dough rolls… stat.» I hadn’t been back in a while. I think the food is great and the waitstaff are always nice. But what stood out were the rolls they serve before the meal. They are crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and served warm with olive oil. I could just eat that and call it a day. It was so great that the rolls came out the way I remembered them to be — absolutely awesome.
I agree with other reviewers in that the place is a bit pricey (maybe that is why I don’t come too often — I had forgotten how much things were). But, I’d still come back… at least to pick up some rolls.

What an awful experience! I don’t usually rate chain restaurants, but because the other Bertuccis’ are not this awful, I should share my review for this particular location. The pizza came out cold… And tasted like cardboard– the «chefs» in the back were verrrrrry stingy with toppings (i.e. the green peppers on the artichoke pizza came out with a Small one or two inch green pepper piece on each slice.
The artichoke dip was heavvvvvvy on the cheese, minimal artichoke. And the eggplant, mushroom and red Pepper pizza came with no red peppers and maybe a few pieces of eggplant.
Honestly had such a horrible dinner and will not be back. I don’t remember it being so terrible six months ago but maybe kitchen staff or management has changed.
Finally, we must have seen our waitress a total of three times the whole night. While she was VERY nice, she was extremely slow and inattentive.

II have been here many times. Best deal and best food is around lunch time. You get salad! I recommend the maragarita pizza and a pitcher of red sangria. :-) ohh and don’t forget the rolls and oil.
