Tequila and Cafe Restaurant

My friend and I have been upset ever since Tequila River closed on 59^th, however our Mexican food cravings brought us here. The place is pretty nice looking, has a very «homey» feeling since everything seems home made. The guac had a pinch of spice which tasted decent. I always have to start off with tacos when I try a new place, the chicken tacos were amazing! My friend got the tostadas and she loved them!
The place is byob so it’s always good to have a modelo in one hand.
They have a dollar menu which consist of 1 $ tacos and tamales.
Service was decent, only one server so don’t be too complicated .
Will come back with all my Mexican food deprived friends.
(Will give them more stars if I enjoy my second and third time here)

I went today for some lunch and boy was the food delicious! I had the beef enchiladas and it was a generous portion for the price! The beef was beyond flavorful! My boyfriend had the chicken flautas and they were equally delicious! They also have an amazing café con leche! Not only is the food awesome but the staff is very friendly. I love me some authentic Mexican food so I’ll definitely be back for more!

Staff is friendly and that goes a long way, however, the price you pay for the portion you receive is a bit much for the area.

Service was very friendly, welcoming environment, definitely child friendly. Food is excellent and fresh, takes a little time because it’s cooked when you order.
I tried the beef and the beef tongue, really tasty, however I’ll continue to order the tongue it’s very soft and savory.
Chicken nuggets (dinosaur shapes) and fries for the picky little eater.
