Nice little commercial airport with two airlines(United and Sea Port) and two car rental facilities(Hertz and Enterprise). Everything is clean and easy to find. Nicely built with lots of glass, nice views across the tarmac, and friendly workers. What more is there to say! Good job, North Bend!

Tiny airport. Relatively new and clean. Only 2 car rental companies, Hertz and Enterprise. Only 2 airlines here. United express and Seaport. 1 baggage carousel right next to the 2 check-in counters. Free wifi. Great signal and speed upstairs, very poor downstairs in boarding area. No food options. I’ve heard flights can get delayed easily during the winter when the fog rolls in. We shall see…

If it wasn’t for having my bud having his own plane I would be priced out of the picture. This is for those who have a large budget or for those who need to get a quick flight out instead of driving to Eugene or Portland…

This is a pretty tiny regional airport that mostly caters to the corporate sales types flying in for world class golf getaways and other golf enthusiasts. Call well ahead for a cab.

United Express is adding an additional Portland route, so hopefully there isn’t the problem with missing a connecting flight on to Seattle. They have also added another San Francisco route. Previous review: This is a very small airport with limited service. There is only one major airline(United Express/Skywest) and some charter flights. Expect to pay up the nose for any flight in and out of this airport. But, mostly businesspersons and rich golfers use this airport. So, unfortunately that leaves us regular people driving to Eugene or Portland to get a decent deal. The United/Skywest staff here are very friendly and helpful. I haven’t had experience with the car rental places though. The Hangar Café, which has its own listing on Unilocal is a decent place to get a quick snack before you head out on your flight. Parking is free for 2 hours, after that it’s $ 6 per day. Keep in mind the flights in and out of this airport get delayed and cancelled OFTEN(especially the San Francisco flight.) Fog in San Francisco has a major impact on this airport because the incoming San Francisco flight in the evening continues on to Portland. If you’re heading to Seattle via Portland, be warned that even though it’s the same flight number, it’s usually not the same plane that continues to Seattle. In other words, if the plane is delayed out of North Bend, you will probably NOT make your Seattle connection in Portland.

One of, if not the, smallest airport I’ve ever traveled through. It’s composed of a single relatively new and very very clean building. There are only two«gates», which aren’t even numbered, two rental car companies and one baggage claim. Unfortunately, they’re served by only one airline, and this fact is reflected in the prices.($ 800 round trip from SFO… ouch!) Three TSA agents run the entire security operation, opening up the screening area just prior to actual boarding and making for the most stress free security screening I’ve ever experienced. I highly recommend flying through North Bend if you’re planning a trip to southern Oregon and can afford to support United’s Monopoly — or someone else is funding the trip. Oh yeah, and free Wi-Fi. Who doesn’t like free Wi-Fi?
