We live in Treasure Island and felt it would b nice to try a restaurant in the neighborhood !!! Huge mistake !! There was not a soul in the rest we were with 7 people. The food started out good as the night progressed so did the chefs drinking habits. He started playing sad love songs, which got louder and louder, the food got saltier and creamier, u could not say a word, we found out he was also the owner. He was miserable, rude, and very dirty looking. The check was wrong and he was to drunk to discuss it !! Pathetic !! The only nice thing was the poor waiter who we did tip nicely and if the owner was removed the atmosphere was nice !!!

First let me start off by saying The chef is a drunk disaster!!! My experience started off by a very mediocre appetizer served along with a ego driven chef! The atmosphere looks like it’s all the leftover furnishings from the Middle eastern restaurant that was once their prior! After having a horrible dining experience along came the bill!!! the bill did not line up with what the prices that were on the actual menu when we tried to discuss the bill with the owner he then forced to tell us a bunch of love stories saying when you are in the company of good people why talk about the price of the food! Which I have to say if the food wasn’t atrocious he may be right but $ 400 for one step above Pizza Hut is not on my agenda… The bottom line is I would never go back and I would never recommend anybody to go back I’m sure it is only a matter of time before the plug is pulled on this neighborhood spot the only upside is they have the amazing talent of the piano players that were once at Magnum other than that this place does not stand a chance in this competitive market… I think the owner/chef needs to go back to wherever he came from!!! PS for whatever reason if you enjoy microwave type dinners for very expensive prices this might be a place you want to check out lol!!!

As I’m writing this review I noticed the restaurant is closed today. Hopefully that’s for good. From the outside the place leaves little to be desired. The inside isn’t much better. After you eat the food there’s not much good my friends and I could say. After reading the other bad reviews we decided to come anyway. Huge mistake. With so many good restaurants in Miami this has to be among the worst. I kept expecting to see Gordon Ramsey and the Kitchen Nightmare crew rush out of the kitchen. Even Gordon couldn’t help them. Be warned. Eat at your own risk

The recent, untimely demise of Magnum has left a giant hole in both our neighborhood and our social life. That said, I was left wondering, «Now what?» That question appears to have been answered in the form of Pasta Vino. I say«appears» because I’ve yet to eat here(not that I often did at Magnum) and the happy hour cocktails are significantly more expensive than Magnum’s ridiculous ½ price bird baths in which we so often bathed.(Two Magnum $ 4 martinis made the perfect weeknight dinner.) Putting that aside, the fact that Pasta Vino is taking the charge, bringing back the piano and giving a voice to the much beloved Magnum entertainers leaves me hopeful for a wonderful new(and highly familiar) addition to North Bay Village. We need the life in our sleepy little village, and 79th Street has its own haunts. Now…about those $ 4 martinis?

5 stars for the magnum singers at the piano bar. Love them and love the piano bar. One measly star for the abysmal customer service. We had been in before when it was empty and they first opened. We’ve been for drinks and the piano bar many times. When we ordered take out on a Friday they called and cancelled out order and yelled at me on the phone because we asked for spicy bolognese sauce instead of regular. They were too busy and they’d rather not have our business I was informed. If you decide to eat in good luck reading the menu, the ambient lighting is basically no lights. Pasta fagioli is like salt water. Everything is is ok but blander and more boring each time we go. I feel bad, I live in the area and was really excited to have a local place to hang out. I was encouraged by their hospitable hostess/manger. But I’ve had it with their lazy attempts to make Italian food and their rude behavior. Hey if you don’t need or want customers, I’m happy for you because right now the piano bar is the only reason to go. And again, let me repeat, the piano bar and singers are top notch and will be the only reason I go back, if I ever do.

excellent service from our server. Funny piano player. The only thing, he could turn the volume a little lower. It was hard to have a conversation let alone hear our server. Other than that it was a great experience and i will definitely go back again

The One Star Above Belongs –Not To This Place– But To The Über Pleasant Female Bartender –Formerly From Magnum– that went Bed, Bath & Beyond to accommodate me. The Most UNPROFESSIONAL, HOPELESS and SUICIDAL cook to date for refusing to remake a pasta that he wrongly executed by mistake. The nerves –this mediocre cook has gotten– as if he can afford to have anyone walk out of his empty restaurant. Since I did not eat, I will refrain from rating the food; However, «OUTDATED» in regards to the Menu, Food Photographs And Décor… Tic-toc-tic-toc, I Predict, for the plug to be pulled out, as a result from the lack of customer service and the cook’s relentless modus operandi. He dicho, Caso Cerrado!

My sister had a late lunch there and we loved it. The food was delicious and the service was great. I recommended my daughter to go with her date and she completely agreed with me.

A strange jewel of a restaurant in the strange jewel of an island that is North Bay Village. This strip mall restaurant has been home to a variety of cuisines in the past several years — Peruvian Chicken, Middle Eastern kebabs, and even Indian for a while, if memory serves. But Pasta Vino is my favorite incarnation yet. The food is finely done Italian classics — not the Americanized over-greased, over-cheesed versions that you may find yourself getting at a certain Italian joint a few steps east(ahem…Oggi…ahem). The pizza is thin-crusted with high quality mozzarella and sauce. The beef carpaccio and tuna tartar are excellent options during hotter times. The fritti app is lightly fried and well seasoned, and the gnocchi melt in your mouth. Prices are fair and the service is friendly. I hear they also deliver, but have never tried that.

Food was good. Décor was cute. Clean bathrooms. I think it would be more successful if it wasn’t next to the Presidente Supermarket in a stripmall on 79th street. Literally the only people there for awhile. The waiter was okay. Not very fast with getting the check and came to check on the table and didn’t notice my water glass was empty. I would recommend chicken parmigiana or pasta with mushrooms.

Placed an order for 2 Pizza’s, took 2 hours to be delivered. I tried calling to cancel my order as they had already charged my card, they would not refund me. Absolute disgusting service. Highly disappointed.

Called this place prior to arriving, the one who answered said the place was new but assured food was good. Once we got there there we had to wait since the hostess was also the bartender. After a few minutes she proceeded to seat us. After another 10 minutes of sitting there we finally got our drinks. There was only one waiter in the entire place serving the tables, we wanted to order appetizers ahead but he said it was better to order with the food so everything was put together. Never heard of this before. After deciding what we wanted to order the waiter said it was better to order from the special menu they had because if not it was going to be an extra 30 to 35 minutes. We waited for almost an hour for our food to get there. I have to say that if I wait that long for a plate of food it must be amazing… all I can say is I was not impressed. Food was a bit cold and lacking flavor. More than anything the service was terrible…

Not sure why the bad reviews but this place was good, clean. The server seemed to try to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Much better than Oggi

Went for dinner and it was ok nothing that I would return for as the waiter was not to experienced and the couple of workers not really friendly or eager to please. I was hoping it would be a very good place but from the condiment table shakers that u would see in a pizza shop not in a middle priced italian place along with no amenities what so ever it is not worth spending 40+ per person for dinner hope they improve

I can’t stay away! Every time I come down from North Florida to visit I make sure not to leave without stopping at Pasta Vino. Quality supersedes all at this restaurant from impeccable service, a warm atmosphere, to only the finest ingredients and traditional Italian culinary methods used. You can taste it in the meal! I tip my hat to the chef as well as the staff for always making every dinner had at the restaurant more than enjoyable.
