Checkers

This place is an absolute shithole. I pulled up to have my order taken where the girl was obnoxiously laughing and yelling at the other workers, extremely rude. She could have atleast turned the microphone off. Afterwards she said «fuck the customer» And continued her conversation. After 5 minutes of listening to them babble, she asked to take my order. I asked to speak to the manager who got on the microphone with a terrible attitude, and told me to «have a nice night» and turned the mic off. My order was never taken. This place is clearly run by a bunch of animals. Whats the hiring process? Do they even interview or scan these people? HORRIBLE experience and i will never return to this establishment, nor any other checkers for the fact of the disrespect i feel.

It was a tough time in my life when I first had Checkers. My wife had just left me, the house was in foreclosure, and daylight savings had me ALL discombobulated. I didn’t know what I needed, but I needed something. Thank GOD for Checkers. For two goddamn dollars I ate better than most African villages: two steak burgers and fries. All I’m gunna say is, if you’re as close to suicide as I was, do yourself a favor. You’ll probably still be suicidal when it’s over, but you’ll be covered in grease and ready to conquer the world. Also diabetes is a myth!

How people gave this below 5 stars is BEYOND me… first off if you have more than $ 3 to your name you can eat like a damn king here. I mean it, seriously… the food is fantastic. Now I try not to eat here often because I get it’s not healthy but damn does it taste amazing. The staff are always very friendly and they hook it up with fries as well. Checkers fries are the best. I recently tried the Montréal Steak Burger and woo woo wooo that is delicious. If you haven’t given this place a try yet definitely go as soon as possible. YOU RULE CHECKERS!

I don’t care what anyone says. Checkers will always be the best for super late night fast food eats! The fries alone are what got me hooked a decade ago. The drive thru goes fast and service is quick and friendly. When the fair isn’t in town I know I can come and get my funnel cake fix!

First off I’m usually not about «fast foods» because it’s just not good for you but my son wanted it so we came here. First off this location is just dirty looking, my son ordered the 2 for $ 5 american something burger and I got a fish sandwich and we shared a fries. The food to me just was not good. The fries were hot but to me not fully cooked but heavy with a oil taste and the fish looked like it died. The young lady who took our order though was very nice and sweet but the young lady who gave us our order had just a little too much attitude for my taste. Overall it’s a fast food chain, you get what you pay for. It was cheap and filled a quick hunger. If I did ever go to Checkers again though, I would NOT go to this location, I’ll stick to the one in Amityville if my son wants it again.

Checkers is a great place. The food is great. Everyone in my family loves it. Great deserts .overall checkers is a exlent place to go. If you have the time to go you should go you will not be disappointed.

Checkers is always a wait.
They say it’s cause they make fresh food. yet I’ve received no fresh food ever.

I have no idea what happened to this place. The last three times ive been here I dealt with ghetto and nasty females who would get my order wrong 2x. This place used to be amazing back in 2010, now it sucks.

Is there any restaurant worse than this? I bet none. i could not give a worse star than this. Ride rude. ride.

I don’t eat checkers often but when I do my order is ALWAYS WRONG! I mean seriously what’s so hard about a double cheeseburger with ketchup and lettuce only and a double bacon cheeseburger. We ended up getting the double cheeseburger and 2 bacon cheeseburgers. Last time I don’t even remember what the gave us but everything was wrong and we had to go back up to the Window and explain 3 times we only wanted cheese lettuce and ketchup. So annoying. Like I mean a monkey could of gotten that order right. Probably why I don’t come often.

Its Checkers, it tastes great and its bad for you and usually open til 1 or 2 am daily. If they have to make your order fresh and bring it to your car in the parking lot, pray to God no one else is in the parking lot cause this place can bring some shady folks real fast!
Tip: They usually give you a coupon page whether in the drive thru or in the store. So go in for a small order, get the coupons and then go through the drive thru like a bossssss!

This is one of the guilty pleasures that i indulge in when i’m in North Babylon visiting my in-​laws. seriously the food here is so greasy and salty it’s like a heart attack waiting to happen, but i think that’s why i like it so much. To be completely honest, most of their burgers taste pretty much the same to me, they just put the same things in different order and call it a different name. Their fries are seasoned and generally nice and crispy. My wife usually demonstrates some restraint and gets a snack size banana milk shake, mean while i’m asking them to XL our fries. a meal at checkers is not complete until you get the apple pie which also is deep-​fried and coated with cinnamon and sugar. like i said… heart attack waiting to happen…

Their french fries are to DIE for! Seriously, it looks like the seasoning is maybe just seasoned salt and pepper but they snap, crackle and pop in your mouth. They have this coating of crunchies on each french fry that makes you digging for more! Add chili on top of them and there you go, you’re in heaven!
I usually just get a single burger. America has gone crazy with the double, triple and quad burgers. That’s just gross. But even though Burger King is still my number one fast food burger place, this comes very close to them.
I’m giving this place only 3 stars because of the service. People! this is a fast food joint… not wait in your car 20 minutes for your burgers and fries!

Let’s be honest… is there 1 bad item on their menu? Its outrageous. How can fries taste so good? How can burgers be so juicy and vanilla shakes so thick and frosty??? Don’t even get me started on the chicken strips combos. I could live off only the champ burger combo meal with a vanilla frosty.
