Massage Envy – North Aurora

Had a great massage from Laura. She has an amazing touch. She found the knot in my shoulder within 30 seconds without me telling her about it. I LOVE it when a masseuse can do that!
I’ve been a massage envy member off and on for the past few years, I try and get a massage every month but inevitably I fall behind and i get a ton of massages on my account and then I quit… and then I sign up again cuz it is a good deal and I really want to get a massage at least once a month. This time will be different!!!
My only knock s they should let you give away unused massage credits.

Terrible business with which to work! Massages are great IF you can get in… IF the therapist stays for longer than 2 weeks, IF you don’t mind showing up to find out that the therapist called in sick and can’t take you today… and there’s nobody else that can! I managed to get 2 decent massages here. Then could never figure out how to actually get another one booked!
So I’ve paid my contracted fee for 12 months. Every once in a while I get a call from them with some odd, «We’d like to book a service for you today.» NEVER got a call asking why I hadn’t used a service in 12 months! Until yesterday, when they called because my payment didn’t go through last month. Still no mention of the fact that I hadn’t used a service this whole year. And when I called back to say I wanted to cancel, the manager was mysteriously not available (nobody you need to talk to ever is!) I asked to have her call me back the next day.
So, today, I waited until 2:00 pm and finally called them AGAIN. Surprise, surprise, the manager had walked away from her desk. When she finally did get on the phone, she has decided that the contract goes for ANOTHER month. She openly admits that I have had 2 services (the second of which they insisted I had to pay separately for) and that I have 11 credits left. BUT, somehow, I still owe again. My 1 year isn’t up. And she is big on quoting «THE CONTRACT». In fact, she came loaded with information about ’”the contract”. A topic she seems to know all too well. Which can only mean to me that she is strongly versed in the verbiage of the contract because of plenty of people like me!
I know better than to join these types of «clubs». I’ve paid $ 660 to improve my health and all I’ve gotten is higher blood pressure. They aren’t interested in my health or in customer service, just in collecting their monthly fee.
Take my advice, STAY AWAY! A business that is worth its weight can provide a service without needing you to «join». They get return business because their service is good, NOT because of «THE CONTRACT».

Excellent staff and gorgeous facility! If you are in the area there is no better place to get a massage or facial. You won’t regret giving this Massage Envy a try!

Just finished with my 1^st massage here. It was great. Carrie got my knots out and had lots of great info to help with trouble areas. I will be back!
