I have bought all of my outdoor equipment from J&J for the last 20 years(chainsaws, blowers, weed whackers, pole saws). They are honest, fair, and knowledgeable. Jason has replaced the motor in my Steiner Tractor and I’ve never had a problem. Recently had a wiring issue with my snowblower and everything was done professionally and at a fair price.

I dropped off my snow blower to change my belts and repair the gas line leak in October. They took $ 50 prepay fee to apply against the repairs. They held on to my snowblower for 3 months and still did not repair it. I ended up picking it up in January. They still had not worked on it and would not even refund me my $ 50. Terrible, terrible. I would not give 1 star. Just 3 zeros if I could. Try it yourself. Hope you have better luck and get your money’s worth.

I own a small landscape company and J&J takes care of all maintenance needed on my equipment. They do a great job and get the work done in a timely fashion. If your a homeowner or run a business j&j is the place to go for buying or repair work. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. Would recommend these guys to anyone.

Went in to buy a briggs and stratton fresh start fuel cap. Sales guy had no idea what I was talking about? Really? And he had a bad attitude to boot. Your a small engine clinic? My suggestion: Go back to small engine school. Lowe’s had them in stock, and their sales person knew what I was looking for.

Bought my mower there. so of course, brought it back for repair. Took a week longer than told to get it back, the firm quote(after they took it apart) was wrong vs. what they charged when I picked it up, and it stopped working again two weeks later with the same clogged carburetor issue. So I cranked up YouTube and cleaned it out myself in under 30 minutes including the time I spent rewinding and rewatching. It was a mess in there. Did they really clean it, or just stick a pin in the holes to clear them? Hmmm… I’ll never know for sure, but I suspect not. Anyway, saved myself 120+ bucks. And I’m an idiot. It should have taken a pro 5 minutes and cost me a much smaller amount for my continued patronage. I wanted to support small business in my small town, but it’s just not worth it.

Dropped my rider mower off for a «tune up» and was told they need $ 100 deposit and it would be 5 – 7 days. It took 2.5 weeks and cost me an additional $ 328. PLUS it needed a part that they ordered but didn’t install. I was told the part would be in in 2days. It’s been over a week and they haven’t called yet. I will NEVER bring anything there again and I suggest you don’t either unless you like to be taken.

Stay Away! We brought our lawn mower in to be repaired. It was 20 minutes before they were closing and we were rushed out the door. We were told it would be about $ 75 but they’d call us and let know. On Monday they called and said it was going to cost about $ 250 — $ 275. Since that far more than the initial estimate and almost the cost of a new mower we decided to pass on the repair. When I told them we were not going to move forward they charged a $ 50 fee to evaluate it. When I informed the manager that I wasn’t told of the fee he said that«they’re busy and can’t tell everyone all of the pricing details. It would take all day». Well… how about the fees that apply to the situation??? When I went to pick up the mower(and pay my fee) I asked if we could split it since I wasn’t told. They said no and that it’s my obligation to ask about fees and everything is listed in their brochure that’s available. I looked around the counter and didn’t see anything. When I asked him where that would be he said«Oh, we must have run out». I don’t know anything about their technical skills but I can say that they have a less than professional attitude towards their clients.

I had to get my Murray 8HP/24″ snow blower repaired. I pulled the rip cord starter too hard and it snapped. Then there’s the wheel not moving. So I dropped off the snow blower on Wednesday. Of course I had to wait last minute as Friday was the 1st bad snow storm of 2008. They had told me it wouldn’t be ready until Monday or Tuesday; however, they had it for me on Friday AM! Great service, great guys and Jason is all around down to earth guy! If you need any maintenance or repairs for any home garden supply i.e. snow blower, lawn mower, etc. bring it to J&J!
