This place is pretty cool. The food is awesome. I wished they had those cuban yuca potatoe balls. Yum, had those on my drive up from Key West to Miami, they were great! I recommend getting the shredded steak with rice and black beans. So hearty and delish. I have to try the cuban sandwich, that will be my next trip.

Food was delicious, and I love the small homey feeling you get when you are here! We had beans and rice, cubano sandwich, and empanadas, and all were so good. It is probably one of the best cubano sandwiches I’ve ever had. A wonderfully unique place for lunch or dinner!

This place is so good. Best Cuban I’ve had in a long time. It’s a small place and the staff is extremely friendly. Everything tastes delicious, fresh, and like your eating at someone’s home.

This is a very small place with a LOT of flair. Pleasant hostess, lovely people. The food is so good. The Cuban sandwich was perfection. I have never had better rice and black beans… the rice is just white rice but add the soupy so-good beans and I have no idea how to describe it. That alone would be a fine meal with sweet plantains for dessert. The tamale… I can’t even describe how tasty it was… the texture, the sweet flavor. So good. Can’t wait to return on a friday or saturday to hear the young lady singer and try the flan. Please eat here!

I had the pork chops with rice and beans with a side of yuca. Such a big plate of food. Everything was good and tasty. Never a bad meal.

I went here a while ago. Service was pretty slow, but the food was delicious. I got the ropa vieja with yucca and rice. Definitely a hidden gem in the area!

Drove up from Providence for Dinner. The food was mediocre. The service was horrible. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes from the time I sat down to have my plate of food served. And there are only 6 tables. I think there were only two servers, although one individual keep going into the kitchen and then coming back and sitting with friends at a table. The lady singing behind the did not appear to be serving drinks since the drinks ordered came from the kitchen. I will not be going back.

This was a great find. After some good reviews, we(4 of us) met for a really great Saturday for dinner and drinks. Walking in, the ambiance was fantastic. The family that runs it are really nice and friendly. Then there was the amazing food. I had the breaded Steak, salty plantains, with black beans and rice. Fantastic! Can’t wait to get back. This place is a gem.

This is an odd little place, kind of «Cuban eccentric». The service was friendly and the food was solid. No draft beer, but some bottled varieties that I hadn’t had before.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Very small, intimate establishment. We were a party of four and were the first through the door on a recent Saturday. Our experience was enhanced a great deal by the fact that my son and daughter-in-law joined us. She’s Cuban and was able to help us navigate the menu and make delicious choices. But, to the food. My husband played it safe with a Cuban sandwich. I ordered the ropa vieja. Literal translation; «old clothes». Culinary translation: out-of-this-world-delicious! My son ordered Bistec de Pollo and my daughter-in-law the Breaded Steak. The joy for all of us was sharing each of our choices with each other. Everything was simply delicious and filled with flavor. We ended with a shared order of churros… perfect ending to a fabulous meal. We’d do this one again!

This is a really cute hole in the wall family-run restaurant. My husband and I came for lunch and decided to try out a couple of things and share them. We got the Cuban sandwich and the beef and chicken dish with rice, beans, and yuca. I liked the sandwich a lot. The other dish was a little heavy on the salt but the meat was flavorful. It was a lot of food, more than I would eat for a normal lunch. The dining area was small and inviting and you can tell that women who work there care about their customers!

Being from Miami, I have high standards when it comes to Cuban food. This little place did not disappoint. We had the roast pork and shrimp special with rice, beans, and tostones; a meat empanada as an appetizer; and a Cuban sandwich as a second entrée. All delicious. The only drawback: Marc Anthony playing loudly the whole time. I’ll never know why Latin restaurants in the States like to play dance music loudly. I love salsa music for dancing, but for eating dinner, why not keep it mellow. My two cents. Otherwise, yummy food and prompt, courteous service.

Recently relocated, i was excited to try a local place with great reviews. Can’t say that they quite lived up to that expectation, as the food was a mix of amazing and sub-par. I had the Vaca Frita(shredded beef), wife had a cuban(i’ll leave you in suspense on which was which). Service was friendly and there was a singer as well. I’ll likely give it another shot.

After reading so many great reviews, I had to try this place. Went last night with my wife, and it was terrific. As others have said, it’s very very small, might seat 20 – 25 people at the most? Wife had the Bistec de Pollo, I had the Vaca Frita\Bistec de Pollo combo. The dishes were both great, including the black beans and rice side, and also the yuca which I’ve never had before but am now going to learn to cook. Two icy Mojitos were a great start to the meal, and we ended it with cuban coffee and shared a Margarita’s Flan, all of which likewise perfect. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend it! Just be careful if you go during a very busy time, you might find getting a seat hard and the bar is a «just barely there» 3 stool counter. The staff were asking incoming patrons if they had a reservation, so you might want to call ahead on a Friday or Saturday?

Coming from a cubana I can say that this place is authentic, From the Croquetas and Empanadas to the Ropa vieja, we loved every bit of it, the garlic toast to start was a nice touch. Snd what better to wash it down with mojito.
