Average selection of beer and wine. Can’t speak to their selection of whisky, partly because most of it seems to be behind the counter and therefore hard to browse (I like to browse).
The store itself is clean, well-​lit, and spacious. Almost too spacious: they could probably shoehorn 50% more inventory in there if they really tried.
The guy who works there in the evenings (the owner, I think) isn’t overly friendly. You might get a «Hi.» I’m sure he’s a jolly chap if you get to know him. But I went to Douglas Liquors on probably 15 occasions and never got a «How you doin’ today? Did you find everything you were looking for?» or a «Hey, I notice you get the _​_​_​_​a lot, but have you tried the _​_​_​_​? I really like it.»
When the person behind the counter has more charm than a three-​bean salad, I’m a little more likely to become a regular.
Nothing really wrong with the place, but nothing to keep me coming back again and again. I suggest Gallery of Wines for beer and wine (and charm and service), or Liquor World for the hard stuff.

No prices put up for beer? Why I dont know. After a few visits i realized a 12 pack was a dollar or two more expensive than other stores in the area.

Craft beer selection getting better again. But be sure to check your freshness dates!

Wine prices are out of control! I’ll drive a little further to Yankee spirits or Gasbarro. My favorite wine is $ 4 more here.

Douglas liquors has moved! They are in the same Shaws plaza, just a few doors down. The new store is HUGE! It is so open and welcoming. In addition to a new location, they have begun to expand their selection! I am a beer girl and love to see new and different beers… Douglas has it! So many beers to choose from, along with plenty of wine and liquor! I definitely recommend stopping in and checking out the new location if you are in the area! It is definitely my new go-​to beer spot! The owner and all of the staff are super helpful and nice, which makes it even better!

This is my go to liquor store in the hood. For a small store they carry a great selection of wines, beers, and booze. The guys that own and run the store are very friendly and helpful. Located in the triboro plaza next to Bills Pizza.
