Come here when I don’t feel like driving up to Home Depot in Methuen. They have most of the essentials you’ll need but the staff is beyond rude. I recently went in to rent a Rug Doctor and they huffed and puffed about how annoying it was for them to rent them out. It literally took all of 3 minutes. Prices are also much higher than at Home Depot/Lowes.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff in the paint department. When I gave them the wrong color, they mixed a new gallon and didn’t charge me — no questions asked.

Nice Hardware store. I found everything I was looking for and then some. I felt like a kid in a toy store just walking around looking at all the stuff here. I always find myself leaving with more than I was intended on getting in a place like this. If you need it I bet you will find it here, Just expect on more time for browsing around.

Do you wear an 80’s hockey mask and need a chainsaw? Then go to Rocky’s Ace Hardware to select from some fine quality saws to get ANY massacre, I mean job, done! See my friend Brandon if you have any questions, he was very helpful as well as the rest of the staff! Glad this place is near me for all of my strange jobs that need special tools.

I’ve only had good experiences at Rocky’s. It’s the place that, I have come to realize, has everything I’m looking for. I sometimes drive out to HomeDepot in Methuen to get some things that I think are ‘hard to find’ but then end up back at Rocky’s and find out that they have it! The staff is always, always helpful. I’m so grateful that they’re just around the corner from the house.

A very good hardware store. I’m always a bit intimidated by the enormity of Home Depot, but not here. They have what I’m looking for, and if I can’t find it the staff will locate it. I guess it’s a chain, but it still almost feels like a local neighborhood store. I don’t know whether I’m allowed to say what I’m about to say on Unilocal, but what the heck– here goes. Andover, Ma., the town I live in, doesn’t have a hardware store. Loads of coffee shops, but no hardware stores. When I was growing up– we won’t go into how long ago that was– Andover actually had two hardware stores — both of which did well. So another advantage to Rocky’s is that it’s nearby.

There are reasons why the friendly, neighborhood hardware store still exist. Rocky’s is one of them. The staff here can give you answers AND guidance, tell you HOW to do things, tell you the extra stuff you need to know. I’ve looked for unusual bolts, drill buts, and sometimes didn’t even know the name of what I was looking for, but they figured it out for me. What they don’t have is a lot of fluff: Christmas decorations and the like. As long as they carry a good inventory of the important stuff, they’ll be around.

Here I am with another first to review. Clearly I have too much time on my hands… Back to business. Rocky’s is like the mini me to Home Depot & Lowe’s except you can usually find someone here to help you & all of the check outs have an employee in them. You will likely find what you need here. Of course due to the smaller size the selection may be a bit smaller & you might pay a littler more(but this is a chain so they buy in bulk and the prices are not bad). Nice to have a neighborhood hardware store. Friendly & helpful. Very difficult to park here however as the parking lot is too small(see my BK review)
