I’ve been going to this Y for a little over a year. It’s convenient for me sice my daughter is in the school aged program and it’s just a door down. No excuses for me. It definitely could use some updating, but it gets the job done. I’m not a huge fan of them taking up 1⁄3 of the gym space for classes, when it’s already tight to begin with. Would also be great if they have non-spin classes available before 9:30a. Not many class options for those who work out in the morning and have to go to work. I love the people. That’s really what keeps me there. Marius is wonderful. He works in the morning. The front desk people are always smiling and greet you every morning. I don’t feel intimidated or judged. If I have a question on how to use something, I ask without feeling like an idiot. I will admit that on the weekends I use the Royersford Y, terrific amenities and equipment. But I’ll keep going here on the week days.

The gym is small and run down and has very limited amenities. The staff at this location is really exceptional; everyone is always upbeat and friendly. For the past few years the YMCA has been trying to build a new facility, unfortunately a majority of the township residence have not been supportive of building on either of the sites identified. I hope Y leadership finds a site to build because it would be great to have a nice YMCA in the township.
