NOWCLOSED! Passed by and no cars in lot. Website doesn’t work and phone is disconnected. Hate to see a local restaurant close, but this one was no great loss.

I have not dined here for sometime now, and now I remember why. My daughter and I stopped for lunch yesterday, promptly seated(not exactly greeted though-strange) sour faced waitress approached the table, took our order, my salad was disgusting, my daughter’s sandwich was missing the cheese, waitress forgot her fries, just a very dissatisfying experience. Restaurant is FILTHY. Greeter/cashier(owner/family member???) rude when we paid our bill. I will NEVER return to this dump. I will stick with Andy’s diner on Ridge Pike!

The speed got this place 2 stars. I dislike feeling like I was overcharged just to inflate the bill, but selling a $ 6.75 breakfast that includes coffee to a 9 year old that was pointing to and ordering from the kids menu is just rude. Also, I would’ve mentioned it to the dude at the register, but he spent the whole time he was ringing me, on the phone, speaking another language and never spoke to me. The place also needed a good cleaning, very dirty overall and at least if you are going to repair the booth with duct tape, spend the $ 2 and at least but a matching color !! That is all ! No rush to return

When we walked in we were promptly seated, but given two menus for a party of five. Weird. The waitress was nice, attentive and good to our kids. The restaurant is dirty, really dirty. The menus are filthy, the bathrooms are gross, and there were flies everywhere. The food was below average, not sure why we ate there, but we did. I guess you do crazy things when you have hungry kids. The parking lot was empty on a Friday night. That should have been our first hint. never again, we’ll hit Arby’s or Chick Fil a.

My husband wanted to stop here because he has had their burgers on a business trip before. Apparently the burger he got was still good, but my grilled cheese was so doused in butter and the bread was so hard that I couldn’t eat it, so I had to scrape the stuff out of the center with a fork to get something to eat that wasn’t sickening. My son ordered a chicken sandwich, which he said was so dry he could barely swallow it and he had gravy fries that he said were«eh».

The food was good here and fast! I don’t understand why there are such negative reviews. There’s nothing phenomenal about this place because it seemed like a normal brunch place but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I probably would be back here when I’m hanging out with family in Blue Bell.

Neat concept but place is just old. Needs a good cleaning, juke boxes, bathrooms. Food isn’t spectacular either. Pattymelt looked like pre-made hamburgers you get by bulk and had no flavor. Service was good

Came for breakfast. Nothing really special at all. So noisy we couldn’t hear each other speak. The waitress had to have us repeat our order. I guess it’s good if it’s crowded. There are old juke boxes at tables –first it was so dirty I was a little turned off. My daughter wanted to play it but I didn’t want her to touch it. It doesn’t work anyway! Overall just ok!

I wanted to LOVE this place because I’m obsessed with all things 50s and upon walking in there is a car couch inspired by Dali(I’m also an art nerd). But honestly, this place was just meh. The food was ok. The service was ok. Nothing to write home about.

Consistent breakfast here. Never ate anything else but never had a bad breakfast. The place seems clean and the service is adequate for a diner. No complaints that I can think of.

A classic diner that is pretty good. I come here for the brunch and milkshakes. This time, I ordered a veggie omelet with cheese which was very good and shared some pancakes which were too chewy and rubbery. The waitstaff is very nice but one thing that turned me off was the strong cleaner smell. I guess they use bleach or some other cleaner to wipe down the tables but the smell was off putting. Otherwise, the food is good for breakfast and decent for lunch.

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. My mom had Ray’s ultimate French toast, which includes strawberries, bananas, pecans, cream cheese, strawberry jam, raspberry sauce and as if that’s not enough, whipped cream. She said it was amazing. It’s huge! I ordered a chocolate chip Belgian waffle but was disappointed because the chocolate chips were thrown on top and not in the batter. The waffle wasn’t even hot. The waitress never asked how our food was & we never saw her after she gave it to us.

Went there for Malts. Ended up with the worst chocolate milk shake of my life. It was severely overpriced, the service was slow, and everyone was rude. Terrible. Drive to Sonic, malt will be better, service will be quicker and better, and it will actually be a malt.

Quick lunch — plenty of open booths and one quasi-friendly waitress. The Athena Salad(with chicken) was pretty good, in spite of the all iceberg lettuce experience. Their brewed Iced tea(unsweetened) was standard fare and very drinkable. Stayed away from all the shakes — but may try one in the future if I feel like getting on the treadmill to burn it off.

Went here off and on for years, and now… just don’t bother. The food’s about what you’d expect for diner food, but the place is depressing– dark and strangely lit. The back room in particular is depressing and smells moldy. If you like ice cream and milkshakes, this place has some tasty choices. Breakfast’s especially good. If you’re low carbing, you will be delighted to know they make milkshakes with sugar free ice cream, but don’t kid yourself and have three since the milk itself has plenty of carbs. My vegetarian spouse usually gets a breakfast since the veg offerings are few, let alone any low carb veg choices. The waitstaff is nice enough, but it always seems like the place is short-handed. There’s a hostess there with hair like cotton candy who has no warmth whatsoever. Our biggest reason for coming to this place was, if you’re up for diner food, then why not do some good? They had a punch card program where a portion of the tab went to a kitty adoption team we like to support, but now that they have discontinued support of this organization, we mosey up the pike to Blue Bell instead to get our diner fix. If you have to feed a crew, you will escape with a not too bad bill. But go during the day when it’s bright and not so dungeon-y.

Came in here because I was having my tires changed. Bad idea. I do understand that diner service won’t be the same as more upscales restaurants but this was awful. Complete lack of attention throughout the meal, waitress who didnt know the menu at all, manager oblivious and watching TV, and the food, yikes. What ever you do, don’t order the French Dip. Tasteless and bland. If I have to go to a diner, sticking with Charcoal Pit in Delaware.

I go here for breakfast just about every weekend. I’ve tried just about every diner in the area and I always come back here. I think the food’s better than most and the prices are right where you’d expect them to be. To me the staff here really sets it apart. Everyone is always working very hard and as a team and the owner is always there and is helping and engaged. Just what you want to see and not usually the case elsewhere. As a result, my cup is never empty and my food always come out quickly.

This place really, really wants to be a 50’s diner and it just… isn’t. I guess from what we gathered from the waitress there is a new owner. ok. If you don’t want to embrace the theme… change it. This half-assed stuff is just sad. Gray linoleum walls and dark. Not a cheerful place. So onto what we really care about with diners — the food and service. We were there for breakfast and had a standard egg and sausage plate(me) and sausage gravy over biscuits(him). Now before my hubby could finish his order, the very nice waitress said, «you need to know it’s not served like it’s shown on the menu». Huh? A slightly garbled explanation followed and he decided to give it a shot. hmmm…biscuits and gravy in a small oval baking dish, covered with the scrambled eggs. Weird presentation because the rest of the plate was empty. He said it was good, but it felt like he got half the amount I’ve seen other places dish up. My stuff was fine with the exception of the sausage links. These were porky perfection. Robust links and well cooked. yummm. Prices were not the cheapest I’ve seen but still not too bad. Overall, if Ray’s could revamp the décor it would go a long ways toward helping the place. Oh, the day we were there, they were not accepting credit/debit cards. Cash only. Not sure if this was a temporary problem or long-term.

This was my first visit to this Restaurant. Our waitress Kelly was really nice and answered our questions. This is a 50s styled Restaurant so I expected oldies playing. There is even a little jukebox on the tables. But sadly no music just big screen TVs. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a themed Restaurant. I got a burger which was OK. My mom got the salmon which was dry and flavorless and her broccoli was cold. She didn’t seem to enjoy her meal at all. The only thing she seemed to like was the soup and baked potato. As for dessert the brownie was on the hard side. Bottom line this place wasn’t anything to write home about, although it wasn’t all bad. If I had the chance I wouldn’t come back again.
