Tasty World

Me family and I have been going to Tasty World for quite some time. Although it is not the closest food option to home, it is by far more worth it than other places that are closer. In our countless visits, we have tried a number of the items on the menu and they are all delicious! My sister and I love the burgers, as well as the gyro the most! Aside from the amazing food, the service there is always exceptional! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and caring; they make our visit worthwhile! Unlike many restaurants where the owners are absentee, the owners here go above and beyond to ensure that their customers are happy! Would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for delicious food at affordable prices and with outstanding service!

Tried this place for the first time. Good food! Had the Greek Burger and Greek Fries. Delivery was faster than expected

My boyfriend ordered me a gyro sandwich with fries and a cheesecake. The gyro was delicious. It was a great price for the amount of meat. The fries are your typical steak fries. Unsalted fries. Not the tastiest, but they’re still fries!
Delivery was speedy! I appreciated that as I work in a corporate office building and that can get a bit confusing.
Here’s where it all went wrong. My cheesecake had mold on it. I didn’t have to open the package up to see that big blue furry thing on top. I called and told them that it had mold and that I would like a refund, as it really wasn’t worth the drivers’ time to deliver me a new slice. Instead, they sent a driver to me with a new piece of cheesecake because the refund may have been to complicated…
I’m sure if I ate on premise, they would have just given me a new slice and I would have been completely okay with that. But now I feel bad that the driver is coming all the here to give me a slice of a non-​moldy cheesecake.
UPDATE: Updating my 2 star to a 4 star based on customer service. Again, delivery was super quick and the guy was so nice about it! They not only replaced my cheesecake slice, but also gave me tiramisu and a can of coke.

Excellent gyro! Amount of meat, outstanding and the taste was fabulous. The sauce was unique and delicious! Would recommend going and I will be returning!

Would expect to find this place on DDD. 8 tables, large sandwich menu but you got to try the Chicken Shawarma. Wife had the Greek Salad with Chicken and was fantastic. Bottled/​canned soda, friendly staff. Only down side is the attmosphere, if you like little kinda dark places, then no problem. If in the area, will stop again.

I was staying at a hotel in Rosemont and decided to try a new place out for pizza. I ordered a «small» 12″ bacon pepperoni pizza, mozzarella sticks and cheesecake.
The pizza was very large. It was the smallest one on the menu and I’m not exaggerating when I say it could feed three people. It was alright, quite doughy and a little too much cheese. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good but I’m sure some people would prefer them crispier. And the cheesecake was probably an 1″ teeny tiny little slice but still tasted great.
It wasn’t a bad meal. They do offer a wide variety of things on the menu. But if you’re in the Rosemont/​Des Plaines area there are much MUCH better pizza places in the area.

Tasty World has a rather large menu, but food that falls between being good and being «meh». On my quest to fi the best gyro in Chicago, I figured I’d check out local eatery, Tasty World. The delivery was fast, the food arrived hot and the fries arrived crispy. I ordered a few things off of the menu to try and left a little disappointed in the overall quality of food. The gyros were one of the juiciest sandwiches I had, but the meat was over spiced to the point were it was visually noticeable. The spicy chicken pita was dry and left a lot more to be desired. Don’t go in ordering it expecting something along the lines of fresh. You’ll receive a sub-​par dry chicken patty that just tastes overcooked. The fries had a nice crunch to them, but we’re pretty standard steakhouse-​esque fries. The drink from my value menu was just thrown into the bottom of my bag. I understand the placement of putting the drink with my order, but I don’t appreciate my soda being tossed around carelessly and my food being wet from not being in a separate bag. Overall, I’ll try it again someday, but for now it’s far from the top of my list.

Got the bacon cheeseburger and it was the best burger I’ve ever had. All ingredients tasted extremely fresh and everything was cooked to perfection.
Honestly, the curb appeal doesn’t convey how good the food really is! Definitely recommend and will be returning.

I ate here only once. One thing, I’m not Bulgarian so I can’t assume if the food is up to standard. But I had a salad and some soup with my friend who introduced me to the place and I liked it.

Hands down, the best greek salad I’ve had in Chicago. Feta is not overpowering, dressing is adequately mixed, generous portions of cucumber and tomatoes. If you add chicken, it’s nice and warm and freshly cooked. It also comes with warm, delicious pita bread. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Finally, Bulgarian Fast Food that delivers! Just ordered from here and I have zero complaints. The spanakopita, cheeseburger, and greek feta fries are awesome. The borek was pretty good, but I might order the guveche instead next time. So glad I tried this place.

Visited again after a long day of shopping at the Fashion Outlets — we were salivating in anticipation of having another lunch here. Ordered two gyro plates — the feta cheese was just as delicious and creamy and fresh as we had remembered and the portions of the gyros and pita was generous. Wish we lived closer because I’d probably eat here once a week. Service was friendly just like the last time :)

Love their Salads. Large Greek Salad was only $ 6 and was so big I had it in two servings. Come with warm bread and plenty of delicious Greek cheese. Ordered it about a dozen times now.

Was going to rate it 3 stars however that one said a– okay.
I have seen this place forever but have never gone in.
First reason is parking, Lot is bad news.
I read the reviews here and there seemed to be more good than bad.
I should have just kept driving by.
Ordered a gyros sandwich. I have to say it is a good price and much meat.
That is where it ends. Tzatziki sauce tasted like sour cream.
Gyros meat, not much flavor.
I did not like that the tomatoes and onions were not cut smaller and interspersed throughout the sandwich.
I might have sat down and eaten, however it looks dim and not welcoming inside.
Service quick, staff friendly, food plentiful, prices right.

When I phoned, they said the chicken gyro is their most popular item. It certainly is not cut from a traditional hero, but instead consists of dry strips of pressed chicken. It isn’t awful, but it isn’t very good either.

Found this gem about 3 months ago and was very surprised that I haven’t heard about this place before. They have some good food, I recommend their GREEK SALAD & Greek fries. Their feta cheese is pretty bomb too.

This seems to be one of those times where my husband and I disagree because the two times we have ordered from here his stuff was excellent and mine sucked. I’m giving them three stars based on his food alone. On try number one I ordered the whole wheat veggie pita that had tzaziki sauce. Zero flavor and tasted like cardboard but I probably had that coming by getting an all veggie sandwich. I will say the Greek salad I got on the side was perfect. A little heavy on the feta but delicious all the same. Today I branched out and got a Roma panini which has prosciutto, mozzarella, tomatoes, red onions, and olive oil. Now I love prosciutto, really I do but this particular kind was AWFUL. It tasted about a week past its expiration date, so much so I actually ripped the rest off the sandwich and ate it without.
I can tell you though not to give up hope yet. My husband graciously let me have a few bites of his Italian sub and it was fantastic. It tasted like it came from a different place entirely than my order had. The bread was fresh, the salami wonderful, just a night and day difference. The prices are great, and we like having a delivery option that is fresh and outside of the typical pizza norm

This place being popular among Bulgarians, of course has great kebapcheta. I did not know what to expect ordring a Doner kebab sandwhich. It intrestingly contained french fries and pickles and by the way was delicious!
The price range is very reasonable and parking in front makes a quick lunch easy.

This place is awesome! DUDE, try the $ 5.00 doner kebab sandwich it’s def delicious and crazy too. Marinated chicken wrapped in a whole wheat pita with gyro sauce, fries, lettuce, pickles, onions and tomatoes. I love the tarator which is a yogurt, cumber, dill and garlic, cold soup. Served with homemade bread too. The place has lots of Bulgarian food, so if you’re looking for something new and fresh try this place :) Cheers to that!
