It has been one(1) year and half since I wrote the initial review. Let me tell you. This place is truly Italians’ social club: grab some cappuccino, mingle with some strangers, in Italian or in English, or just watch some TV. I can guarantee that you won’t be left alone at Caffe Pronto. This is not a coffeeshop for you to get work done; it’s a spot to hang out! Coffee is delicious and reasonably priced. I haven’t had anything but latte and cappuccino. However, they serve sandwiches and gelato. Parking is plenty, and many of the people are super regulars. I often come with hubby who speaks fluent Italian. While mine is at a very elementary level, I still have fun listening to their conversations and make myself at home.

Looking for a decent quality sandwich, quickly, cheaply and with friendly service? Then this is worth a stop on your travels through the area or even before or after your haircut at Michael’s next door.

Awesome. An honest to goodness Italian café. Top notch coffee, really good baked goods, big tv and some tables. Thumbs. Up.

This little café is truly an authentic Italian café complete with sandwiches that are made while you wait, wonderful coffee and soft drinks and a wide range of Italian desserts. The staff are so friendly. most of the customers we’re speaking fluent Italian and gave it the ambience of really being in Italy. I would highly recommend this place to everyone

I am soo glad I found this really cute coffee/sandwich shop. The woman who took care of me(owner’s daughter) was very personable and outgoing… and gave me a few descriptions of the items they sell. EXCELLENTFRIENDLYCUSTOMERSERVICE. I had just come from buying something from Panera Bread early in the morning a few miles south of this place and I hate their coffee(I am new to the area and I try to stay away from chain stores for my coffee — I much rather prefer giving my business to small businesses) so when I was driving on Cumberland and saw Caffe Pronto, I immediately. decided to drop in. Although it is set up more like a mini sports bar, it is still a very welcoming place. I only ordered coffee but I will surely be back to try more of their items as it seems to be a very popular hang out spot. IFYOU want AUTHENTICCOFFEE and EXPRESSOs… venture out this way… Quit overspending on Chain Coffee Shops and give this adorable coffee spot a try.

Hubby and I were on the quest to find some Italiano caffe places. I found one last time at different joint, but the cigarette smoke turned us down. Thank you for smoking patrons at Caffe Pronto. They stayed in the outdoor patio munching their gelato and smoked till the hearts content. I really appreciated that. We ordered the cappuccino and iced latte. The ice latte wasn’t really iced; it was warm still because it came straight of the Italian coffee machine. That wasn’t a big deal because it was tasty. They were done in the authentic way because there was no sugar added to my latte and I don’t care for sugar when it comes to drinking coffee. By no means, if you want sugar, you can help yourself at the service counter. They played the Italian TV and European soccer. I bet they will play Italian soccer if there were any Italian games playing. The patrons obviously like this place because the workers and patrons were hanging out just like friends would. Hubby was speaking Italian to one of the ladies who works there, which was cool because he doesn’t have lots of opportunities here to do so. Many Italian restaurants and coffee shops were owned by Sicilians. They speak completely a different language(Italian with Arabic influences… I think). Regardless, people here seemed to enjoy themselves and have a good time. Hubby said he will be back, and I get to come along. We will probably try the gelato or the sandwich next time. P. S. Unilocaler said they accept credit cards even though we paid with cash. I didn’t see a machine by the register. One cup of coffee is approximately $ 4, so it’s encouraged to bring cash.

Such a cute place! This was the first time I stepped in, and I was treated as though I had gone there for years! Really good coffee and friendly people. That’s about as good as it gets :3 I’ll be back very soon!

I’ve been seeing this Caffe for a while and finally ventured in. It was a little like the Star Wars Cantina scene as all the elderly, neighborhood soccer fans turned in unison to see who entered was a little unsettling. But, I was so glad I continued to the counter. The Coffeetress behind the counter was very friendly and made a terrific latte. Just the right amount of sugar and sprinkled chocolate. Definitely going back.
